WiFi lost or overwritten credentials

I connect to a private network at the Office of the client on my laptop.  However, every so often, windows will lose my credentials and try to authenticate with my work/user account.  It doesn't happen every time, so do not know what causes this.  To re-establish my connection, I have to go back in manage wireless networks and open the properties of the adapter to the connection of my client.  From there, select the Security tab (customer uses the WPA-Enterprise authentication method), click Advanced settings.  So, I replace my credentials.  Have to do this over and over becomes quite exasperating.  I tried to remove all identification and delivery information at zero for the adapter and even remove the adapter and recreate.  Nothing seems to stop this problem.

The access of my work was never a problem (of course being the authentication that replaces my client, not a big surprise). They also use WPA-Enterprise.

At home I also connect to a secure network and he never loses credentials.  But it uses for the WPA2-Personal Authentication.

Help! WiFi lost after upgrading to windows on my SATELLITE of P745-S4217 10

Drivers have installed successfully but when I troubleshoot, windows tells me wireless capability is turned off

I search on the net, but still no solution to my wireless connection interruption

Any help will be appreciated thanks

    Hello

In the past, you need to turn on the WiFi using the FN keys, but I think that this should not be necessary to help to win 10.

In any case, I think that you must connect to the laptop to the internet using LAN cable.
Then, you must uninstall the WLan Device Manager driver.
After that, restart the laptop in order to win 10 to select the Wlan driver automatically.

As far as I know that Win 10 must check for new drivers available WLan and in the best of cases after the update, the WiFi connection should work again.

  • WiFi lost when the PC is closed

    Hello

I have a toshiba with a Wireless Linksys network card (PCMCIA) satellite.
My problem is that when I shut down the computer, it will "sleep" (the computer power saving mode is standby), the network card stops. When I opened the computer just restart the map network turns on but the wifi network is lost!
The only solution I found to return on the wifi network is to restart the computer...

Is there a solution to return again without wifi to restart the computer every time?

Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad English...

    Hello

Well, I agree with Feliks. It seems that the PCMCIA card doesn't support mode standby or sleep extended. Unfortunately, I don't have an idea what to do but if you want you can disable this function in power management. In this case, if you close it the OS doesn't cover mode sleep or hibernation.

  • Firefox on the laptop of my wife lost the black bar that displays maps, Gmail etc. Now at the top of the screen there is an empty bar, triple height, with just the Google search box entry. How can I get that back? Or is it a question for Google?

When I open Firefox there is a black bar, sometimes vertical, sometimes horizontal, in the upper part, with links to maps, Gmail etc. When I opened Gmail the same links are listed at the top of the screen, just under the tabs. In my wife's cell phone, it appears in the Firefox splash screen, but not in the form of Gmail. In the top of the screen is an extra-large gray bar with just one Google search box entry. Is this a problem of Firefox or Google?

  • WiFi lost with lid down

Just bought a HP-15-G094SA laptop (laptop 15.6 "with Windows 8.1). Whenever I close the lid of the laptop, I lose the wifi connectivity.

I checked the power settings to make sure that the wifi adapter is activated permanently. Also went to control panel-> network and sharing-> adapter change settings-> right click on wifi network connected-> properties-> configure-> management power - > uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

None of these solved the problem.

I would use the laptop with lid closed by this pluggin thanks to my TV via a HDMI cable, but cannot because of the loss of wifi.

    Hello again Fil1404,

It is good to hear from you again!

Because changing the power settings in the control panel menu has not resolved your problem, I recommend you load the drivers software and hardware of origin provided with your computer. This can be done by following this document on the use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8). To update the drivers newly installed, please follow this document using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8).

If the WiFi radio disables always after closing the lid, I recommended to perform a backup and restore of your operating system. This can be done by following this document on the backup of files (Windows 8), and more to perform a recovery of the HP (Windows 8) system. This should help get your system back to factory settings.

If the problem persists, please call our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number.

    Hi @prince26

I see that you get an error message that indicates there is a problem with the connection to your wireless adapter. If you bought this laptop last year, you're still in warranty and you should contact HP. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here outside of North America.

If you are no longer under warranty then you can look at the relocation of the wireless card. Only do this if you are out of warranty because it will void your warranty if not. Here is your Guide to Service and Maintenance and on page 50, you will find instructions on the removal of the adapter wireless or WLAN module Once you have removed it put it back in and make sure that the fittings are tight.

  • solution wifi lost during the recovery of the x 201

    good new everyone

my wifi sometimes behaves badly after sleep. I can see networks, but cannot connect. to restart the pc. restart networking and network - manager does not help.

the solution for this is to reload all modules related to the wifi. I have written this script for this (but have not yet tested):

    #/bin/bash

    rmmod cfg80211
    rmmod mac80211
    rmmod iwlagn
    rmmod iwlcore
    sleep 2
    modprobe iwlcore
    modprobe iwlagn

    I forgot to mention I'm running ubuntu 10.04 64-bit with kernel 2.6.34 - 020634-generic.

Used the script a couple of times now. This is my last review (lazy writes, I know):

    #/bin/bash

    sudo rmmod iwlagn
    sudo rmmod iwlcore
    sudo rmmod cfg80211
    sudo rmmod mac80211
    sleep 2
    sudo modprobe iwlcore
    sudo modprobe iwlagn

  • T42-2374. WiFi lost after reinstalling Windows XP.

Hello.  I am new to the forum and I am a very basic computer user. I have a laptop that had its hard drive damaged and replaced.  When he returned, he had a strange system of Windows on it, so I reinstalled my version... and that's when everything went wrong.  Now, I can not WiFi.  I went to the device driver and it shows the yellow mark points against ethernet, SM Bus controller, network controller, PCI device unknown (?) modem and video controller (VGA compatible).  When I double-click on them, they say "the drivers for this device are not installed."

I tried to connect my laptop to my PC which has the ADSL connection high speed to try to diagnose or to re - install the necessary software by using the wizard, but I can't seem to connect in this way.  A friend says to try to download the drivers on a key, but I can't find exactly what I need to download.

Maybe someone can help me please?

PS I tried first looking for the forum for a solution, but I didn't get enough of the jargon. Sorry!

  • Installed 3.2 RC - 3.2 beta lost files

I suppose I chose something wrong during installation.  I have all my old data Lightroom 2 rear (delighted to keep everything in the same place eventually), but has lost everything I did in 3.2 beta.  Can someone help me retireve it, or is it lost and overwritten?

    Thank you.

He loaded all my catalogs/collections in Lightroom 2.X but not 3.2 Beta.

    You must.

You must find the catalog of beta 2 on your hard drive (global search for brand "*.lrcat" of the files on your hard disks) and import it in 3.2 RC via the menu file-> import from catalog .
