WiFi requires reset after sleep

As soon as my macbook goes to sleep and I wake up, the icon indicates that it is connected to my wifi network, but there is no internet connection until I turn off wifi and then turn it on again - if I do that, it connects perfectly. I've updated to the version the most recent of El Capitan and restarted my computer several times.

Ditto.  I wish that someone would respond to our question/problem.  I got a MBP this past Christmas and love it, but find this very annoying problem.  My iPad Air, iPhone 5 and Windows 10 laptop Lenovo have no problem to stay connected to the internet on the same wifi network, which makes me want to point the blame on my MBP, not my WiFI router or your internet provider.

  • WiFi connects immediately after starting

    Hello community,

I started having Wifi issues after installation LittleSnitch. It would be irrelevant, but that's when the problem appeared. Although I have already removed, the Wifi connection does not seem to operate normally.

Before that, it would connect immediately after starting, which means instant access to Chrome or any other browser.

Now, he continues the search for a few seconds, shows an exclamation point on the wifi icon and then finally connects to my network. This process takes more than 30 seconds.

I tried several solutions spare, change my location, manual settings, DHCP or DNS, wifi diagnostics, reset my router, but all without success. I still can't get it to connect at the same time.

    Any ideas?

    (El capitan)

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.

  • Windows 7 "no DNS (or no network) after sleep (wake up) sleep (or Hibernate).

The purpose of this thread is to understand the expected behavior of the TCP in Windows 7 stack and the cards on the resume from sleep/hibernate - not - display the suggestions that have been posted in other threads.  I also wanted to gather some folklore on this subject in one place...

It seems to be a group of people having this problem Windows 7 "no DNS (or no network) after sleep (wake up) sleep (or Hibernate)" without definitive duty (or with various) responds to what the issue is.

Do some reading on this in various places, I see:

-Suggestions to disable UPnP.  This should be largely irrelevant to the problem.

-Reset the default router.  Generally, this should not be necessary.

-Reinstall Windows 7 (ah yes, the panacea for all ills!).

-Replace DHCP static IP address.  This should not be necessary (considered at best as a workaround).

-If it solves the problem, it points the finger at DHCP feature / state on the curriculum vitae of sleep?

-Disable the firewall.  This shouldn't be a problem (why would it).

-If it is a question, it is likely to be isolated, rather than the majority of the cases.

    -VMWare (or similar) virtual networks.

-This could be a problem for some people.  It would be useful for anyone who has a problem to confirm if they have VMWare or similar virtualization installed products (who can create virtual networks).

-Disable the TCP (TCP sliding windows) tuning car.

-It is possible that TCP auto tuning could be a problem for some people - but - unlikely, it would be a problem for people only on the recovery from sleep mode.  I think that anyone with questions about the TCP (TCP sliding windows) tuning car rather than questions on RESUME intermittent connectivity problems.

-Some people report improved performance when turn it off this feature.   Report MSFT from 10 x to x 1000 in laboratory performance. conditions.  It's one you need to test yourself to see if it helps or otherwise.

-NETSH INTERFACT TCP SET GLOBAL AUTOTUNING = OFF

-NETSH INTERFACT TCP SET GLOBAL AUTOTUNING = NORMAL

-It works on XP but not on Windows 7?

-It is fairly widely commented that the TCP stack has been re-written/improved thanks to Vista and Windows 7.  It is not surprising, therefore that problems on Windows 7 that do not exist on Windows XP.  This does not necessarily imply that the Windows 7 stck is bug, just as not all software and peripheral food chain TCP are speaking the language of same/current (in the absence of a better technical description).

-One wonders, therefore, are only optimizations issues additional tuning and unloading that have been made in the new stack TCP?   How this confrontation with the problems that occur only in the curriculum vitae of sleep/wake extended?

-Some people recommended prevents the system from voltage of their cards during the standby/hibernation.  Does this means:

    -The card is not dynamic.

-If the card is allowed to be turned off so there will be a lag between the state saved in Windows and the State represented (none) in the card when the system is out of his sleep (or Hibernate).

-Perhaps, it's something that needs to be addressed in the functions of battery/sleep TCP in Windows 7 - How to handle/recover the situation when the NETWORK adapter is turned off?

-If we put the system to sleep, we want to have power supplied to the maps or not (what are the implications)?

-People have the same problem for the hibernation?

-If there is a problem of State related to the cards, would be - why, in some cases of people solve the problem by disabling optimizations that involve some treatment being given cards instead of being carried out using the processors.  If it was kept in the processors, we have consistent state on the resume (as opposed to cards)?

I think what I understand of MSFT is here:

-What is the behavior designed in the stack revised to ensure a consistent state between the adapter, battery, previously obtained DNS, DHCP settings, etc., the curriculum vitae of sleep/wake extended.

-Unlikely connections persist across sleep/hibernation - so are they remind/re-restored?

-Windows 7 has more work to properly manage this for cards that - are - power off during sleep?

-Is - it a requirement of MSFT at this time for an own CV, the card must stay lit?

An exchange of views on how this is supposed to work for MSFT would be useful.  Then perhaps hundreds if not thousands of people facing this issue can understand why it happens and how they can solve.

Thank you for spending time and energy on it. I had a frustrating to deal with this problem, but - finally, disable virtual network cards seems to have helped.

  • Accounts, lost after sleep

    Hello

I have a problem with the accounts.

After sleep, the Macbook loses all accounts and applications such as mail, reminder, notes, calendar, Safari,... are suspended and do not respond.

The only solution I found is to restart the Macbook.

After the reboot, all accounts keep popping up.

Below, a screenshot with the accounts.

This screen is empty after sleep.

    Hi Damien_D,

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

It seems that your MacBook Pro behaves unexpectedly after he wakes up from his sleep, and you cannot use Internet accounts until you restart.

I recommend going through these troubleshooting steps If your Mac does not sleep or wake up when expected. (Although the title of the article is different from what you see, the steps can help yet.)

    • Reset the SMC.
    • Reset the NVRAM.
    • Disconnect external devices other than your Apple keyboard, mouse, and screen. If that solves the problem, gradually reconnect your devices, testing each time until you find the device that interferes with sleep. And then check the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer of the device.
    • Start in Safe Mode to see if the problem is related to startup items not Apple, login items or kernel extensions.
    • Try to isolate the problem by using a different user account.

    Best regards.

  • Module CVI written TestStand property, property value resets after the step execution.

    Hello

I did a lot of research and find nothing relevant to the question that I have. I've created a DLL in CVI containing several functions I call TestStand. I also created a type of step customized for each function call. Every function in the DLL has a runtime version and a version edit-time. Time edition features each have a UI associated with them are called from teststand. Change these functions are placed in the custom under the heading "change" step step-type tab Before executing a sequence with these custom steps the edit-time user interface is launched to allow the user to input values that will be passed to the run function. originally, I tried to set up my functions as a 'post step' step in the step properties. However, the sequences would fail to run because the parameters of the step module was empty. Then, I selected CVI as the adapter in the step properties and specified a default module for each type. This filled the tab module settings step like I wanted. However, when I ran the sequence each function execution of measures was called twice, once for the stage of the post, and once for what was in the tab module I suppose. I then re-entered the types of step and deleted all the steps of the post office. I thought that all the problems have been resolved at this point, however, after doing some more extensive tests I always have a bug, I was unable to get rid of that.

The problem is that two of my step types have to write data to current TestStand to execution after they ask an external device for IT. I know that the query works because my log text that generates the DLL displays the correct values. However, the data are not get rewritten on TestStand correctly. In the enforcement functions after checking the valid data has been returned, I try to write to TestStand using: "TS_PropertySetValNumber (seqContextCVI, NULL,"ThisContext.Step.ParameterValue.NumericParameter", 0, (double) ushortint);" »

I checked that this call generates an error and also used the TS_PropertyExists method to check that I had the correct search string. These extract so I added then another command that reads the value written to TestStand two return immediately after to write it. I printed this in my log file and found that the value is written to the property of TS. So, the problem is that TestStand is defining the property to reset after the code module is running. How to prevent this?

Thanks for all comments, let me know if anything specified needs.

    Josh Meyer

Well, I came to the conclusion that my 'problem' is not really a problem. I had a bit of a basic misunderstanding of the works of TestStand (I don't actually use it, I am writing just a code which will bring an existing one of the tools of the features inside the TS).

in any case, what I learned is that these properties are retained (so you can set up a sequence, save it, re - open and be able to run it without any reconfiguration for example), when you write to a property when installing editting/sequence. The run time values are not preserved (if connected) because they are only required to carry out. For example, if a user calls one of these functions to extract value from a controller, they probably do so because they want to check the value, it's what they expect it to be. Rather than watching the value after execution (which is what I me assuming they would do), they would set up the step after step "read value" to test the value that it returned. This value is available in 'RunState.PreviousStep.valuename' in the downloaded step step "read value".

Hope that I did not confuse anyone a lot, I'm completely new to TestStand.

  • Windows Mobile 8 turns is not on after sleep.

I have a Haier laptop with windows 8 is installed. Few days back my laptop got problem with mode 'sleep', it might be light not after sleep and I had to stop it to turn it on. This time after sleep, I tried to turn it on, but it has been set for the auto repair, after some time it says "Your PC couldn't be repaired" with options like system restore, refresh, reset, guest... Whenever I turn on the same process repeats... Now what should I do? Any suggestions?

Since your laptop now Windows 8 OS, you will have an error "the inserted media is not valid" when inserting it with Windows 8.1. To get this fix you are trying to insert the media Windows with Windows 8 OSrecovery or installation. Then, try to update your PC or reset your PC. Otherwise, you must reinstall Windows 8.1 with your media recovery instead of use the refresh or Reset.

    Kind regards
