  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  If you can access the internet then what you have to do is seek assistance from Wild Tangent games.

  If they are the only updated, you have questions, there must be something that changed at their end or something that may need to update on your system and that they would be the only ones who know what it is.

• Pavilion laptop: Preloaded uninstall Wild Tangent games

  Polar Golfer in the preloaded games has a Trojan horse.

  After paying a professional ($140) to remove all the preloaded HP games Wild Tangent, the computer seems to be fine.  Now, Ute, Security Essentials detected another Trojan horse which is in Polar Golfer.

  None of the preloaded Wild Tangent games appear on my list of programs and are not detected by re ro uninstaller.

  However when I open the folder of the games all the preloaded games are listed by name next to identical icons with white background that don't open when I click on them.  This moves the white icon in the center of the screen.

  Some piece of Polar Golfer must be hiding somewhere.  Security Essentials prevents find the Trojan horse, quarantine it and then withdraw only to repeat the process again and again.  I keep getting an error message on Security Essentials which indicates that the file size is too large and that it cannot be saved.

  I got the following information on the internet, but do not know if it will help or what to do with it.

  The full command line to uninstall for Polar Golfer at HP (remove only) is "C:\Archivos programa\WildTangent\Apps\GameChannel\Games\97EC74F4-592F-4CA5-B9E4-EBEB2887D797\Uninstall.exe. Main executable file of the application is called golf.exe and it has a size of 752,00 KB (770048 bytes).

  Microsoft has no information on the Trojan horse: WIN32 / Dynamer! KT so apparently Security Essentials knows something Microsoft does not work.

  When I run the function delete on Security Essentials, he hangs up and does not end.  For these last two days Security Essentials has begun the process of withdrawal in itself 4 times.  Also even if Security Essentials tells me on 2 of these departures the Trojan horse has been quarantined, it does not appear in the quarantine of the history section.

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop HP and preloaded uninstall Wild Tangent games. I think that I would go to the person who uninstall the software you paid for it. Here is a link that shows you how do to check your apps. Click on 'Select all' - this will remove all the games on your computer.

  Here's an article on the deletion of cookies that could also help.

  Have you checked in the control panel to ensure that the game is not listed there?

• Unable to download all the site of Wild Tangent games after a Windows Update

  I can no longer download all Wild Tangent games after the last update of Windows.  I clicked to restore to an earlier point, which worked for a few days.  Now it no longer works again.  Wild Tangent has said that it is a Windows security problem, probably a sertting of firewall.  I would like to know if there is a way to list the Wild Tangent as a site course, or how I can fix my firewall.  Thank you.

  Make sure that the download directory is not "made"read only."   Also check for security installation directory.

  Hi people! OK so I got some problems with my windows 7 dell vostro laptop 1540. I bought a PC game of Wild Tangent, but you have to install their app games before you can download & play the game.

  So I tried to install the soft games and it worked very well, quickly too, but once the window has appeared, it was just empty - completely... nothing on it whatsoever, no error code, nothing. So I've been on wild tangent support and they told me to go to the site intel and run a driver intel update utility, so I did and it came with 4 things (but he not do it automatically, it said that I needed to perform these tasks manually) this is what they have listed:
  • Graphics driver (that's all it says)
  • Intel Chipset software installation utility chipset INF
  • Audio driver for motherboard Intel
  • Wireless (wifi) - dell 1701 802.11b/g/n wireless network card (I tried to install this, but I would not let me)
  • Wired networking - RealTek PCIe GBE family controller

  I have not the first clue how to get all these because I think that some of them were arrested today (my laptop did not have these updates since January 2011) so I tried to research on how to deal with this problem, but unless I do not use the term appropriate for that, there's nothing I can find what looks like this question.
  I would really appreciate comments of a person I am pulling my hair out :(

  Computer laptop Dell Vostro 1540 is not currently available and Dell seems to have ceased to provide the necessary drivers for the PC online.

• Removal of the preinstalled games Wild Tangent

  My laptop came with a few links for Wild Tangent games on the web. When I tried to delete these by right clicking on them in Windows 8 start menu and selecting uninstall, it took me to the menu programs & options where they are not listed. I finally found the folder program files & deleted but links/shortcuts in the section 'Programs' from the new start menu are still there. When I click on 'Open file location', he shows me a folder of games with links to games that do not have today the graphics. I know that these games are not really on my system, but it just bothers me that I can't delete the links in the start menu. Please advise!

  Well lucky for you. I had my 8.1 update before uninstalling applications. After that, I did own upward. And guess what, these apps exacly are still on the list. Is there a way I can delete them? They are just annoying.

  After uninstalling WildTamgent, I did everything, but I was always left with five generic links that applications (all games Casual, all lovers of games etc), that I couldn't remove and uninstall was obviously useless since I had already done this (Duh!).
  in any case, I finally the hunted - shortcuts in Menu start-old programdata\microsoft\windows\start menu\programs\games. I removed 5 shortcuts there and apps disappeared, result!
  Note programdata is a hidden, folder to verify "hidden objects" in your file Explorer window.

• Wild tangent bloatware - REQUIRES installation of unknown sources

  ACER has put bloatware wild tangent games on my A3 - A20 tablet, and it cannot be deleted. That sucks all by itself. But what is really unacceptable is wild tangent pops up a notification that he needs your attention.  And to make this notification disappear, you must allow installation of unknown sources so that it can update itself.  ACER, I don't want this kind of things on my Tablet first.  Do not make worse it by requiring that I reduce security on my tablet in order to make the notification disappear.  Really shabby.

  Finally I realized that he was trying to do, and this wild tangent has been around for a long time.  So I've allowed unknown sources, allowed wild tangent to update, and then I disabled unknown sources.

  But understand that I'm not happy with that ACER has done here.
