  • Satellite M60: Refresh Centrino 1.73-> T2050 Dual Core CPU

    Hello world!

    I want to upgrade my CPU a Pentium M 740 (1.73) towards a T2050 Dual Core (2 x 1, 6).

The two processors use socket 479 mPGA and a FSB of 533 Mhz.

The M60 have the i915 and this chipset is not support two hearts. But some sources on the internet say he's working with some motherboards. It depends of the
    Reference of the manufacturer (Toshiba).

    So... it does not work?

    welcome them

    Hi mate,

Unfortunately, it s does not not since the chipset in this specific machine is not able to manage a Dual-Core processor. A friend of mine has tried, but the didn t of the machine starts. After replacing the Dual-Core with the previous, the machine upward, but since that time the machine started to work unstable.

We don t know yet what could be the problem, but I recommend you do not replace.

  • Windows XP no longer allows the dual core cpu to work together

Among the recent windows updates (I think around October) caused my AMD core 7750 dual processor no longer work together.  What I mean by that is that when I use an application heavy processor as an anti-virus or a game it will allow only this program to use 50% of the total of the processor, when I use two of them at the same time, then windows allocates the other processor to the second task, also sometimes when you check the Task Manager I see that the CPU usage is 50% and has a 99% system idle process.  After Reinstalling windows xp processor works as it is supposed to, but I don't know what update is the cause of the problem, but it seems to happen after I get a rundll32 error if that helps any.

I managed to fix it but I don't know exactly how, all I know is that the problem went away after I reinstalled windows xp again.

The task manager has two graphics and I can change to/from the "one graph per cpu and one graph, all CPUs" in the options display, although that I thought she should have 4 graphics; which is logical that the CPU has 4 wires, so should have 4 graphics.

Any ideas? I tried msconfig and reset the number of processors, but then it resets the memory to 2 GB so I have to reset that and restart it to recognize all the 6 GB of ram. but then my cpu is a nucleus! It seems that I have a dual core cpu and 2 GB of RAM or a simple core cpu and 6 GB ram! ATM I'm on a single processor core with 6 GB of ram. I think the only thing I can do is reset the cpu in msconfig and reboot and see if it works, but then it will set the RAM to 2 GB. I 'afraid' to uncheck the CPU and RAM at the same time, incase of my laptop computer won't load at all. What do you think?

It is not too much a problem; If I had only 2/3 GB of RAM, then it would be a problem, would be just nice to have my CPU dual core of return!

As always, I would be really grateful for any help with it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Hello

Have you tested other tools like Everest Home Edition or CPU - Z?

Strongly recommend do it and compare the results, because a single tool can provide erroneous values.

  • I think the Satellite L100 is slow - it's all about Dual-Core

I have dualcore centrino L100, but he acted strange.

Everything takes so long to load. So I check with the Task Manager, what was going on and he said a carrot was operating at 100% and the other at about 3 to 4%.
Then I clicked on the processes tab to see what has been using all the CPU performance and the only thing coming so was firefox which showed a 1%.

Can someone tell me what could cause this problem and how to sort it?

The only software that I installed are zonealarm (the one with all the bells and whistles) and some games.

Another symptom is I can't listen to any music without him jumping it's cd and music ripped to the hard drive, but it is fine if I put music on my mp3 player

To be honest I don't see any problems with you laptop.
The dual core CPU supports Intel SpeedStep technology.
This feature helps to dynamically adjust the frequency of voltage and CPU core that helps reduce the heat dissipation. Simply said; not, the CPU always runs full implementation. Only if it s needed.

Don t wonder if one of the cores will run with superior performance as the other core.

Second, I see that you have installed Zonealarm. I know this free firewall and to be honest it significantly slows down the performance of laptops! I had it installed several months ago, and each start-up took much longer than without the zonealarm.

So skinny back buddy. your laptop is ok

  • What happens if there is multi-core or Dual-Core coupling processors to the top with Windows 7 Home Premium?

So if I have a Windows7 Home Premium 64 - bit operating system and I use a processor dual core (Intel Dual Core e5300 CPU) are fully compatible or how they work together, given the fact that Windows 7 recognizes that one of the two processors? Playback of the system is expressed in the fact that it has two current processors. Both processors work simultaneously to form a combined data stream is a dormant or they turn on and off opposing to another so that each works half the time? Many scenarios as possible, but I would like to know... the real answer as to what needs to be changed eventually to bring together a system more fluid? My main question is the operating system and the processor may be an incompatibility problem that has not yet been addressed? I can't find any answer in the Center Compatabiity of Windows 7 or anywhere else. Or is the limitation of windows 7 Home Premium and only be able to support an unfounded processor see the fact that there are many systems that are in work today with these components. ?

    Hey Randy,

If your system has two separate physical processors (not hearts) and you are running Windows 7 Home Premium, the second processor is completely ignored. It turns on and turn his fans, but it does not all rights for the computer. Windows 7 Home Premium will not take advantage of a single processor.

However, if you have a single physical processor with multiple cores, Windows 7 64-bit will benefit from up to 256 cores. It is very probably the type of machine that you have because it is quite rare to have multiple processors co-location in a workstation computer.

In this scenario, Windows will use two cores for separate tasks. Applications will be evenly distributed between the carrots, unless the application has been written to take advantage of multiple cores. The two hearts are turned on and both are used when the system is running.

You can check if Windows has recognized the two hearts looking Manager of the tasks of your system:

    1. Open the Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar, and then click Start Task Manager.
    2. Click the performance tab.

The top two graphs show how much CPU is used, as well at the moment and for a few minutes. If the CPU usage history graph seems shared, your computer has multiple processors, a single dual-core CPU or both.

Windows 7 system requirements also go in a little more detail on how many windows cores/processors can take in charge:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/systemrequirements

Hope this helps to answer your question!

  • DuoCore/Dual Core Processor

Out of the box, CF Standard Edition supports 2 CPU. This Dual-Core CPU or a DuoCore has 2 central units?
If I buy a server with 2 CPU DuoCore (4 CPUs), CF will use only 1 CPU or will it read 2 CPUs as 2 parts physically separated?

  • Question about upgading Qosmio F20-137 to dual-core

Hi I want to rank up my Qosmio F20-137 to dual-core. I just need some advice on which one to buy.
    Thank you
    Chris

    Hello

Needless to say that a CPU upgrade in a laptop is totally sensless because you won´t gain true high performance. On the other side, you have to be a technician who should be familiar with these systems, because a mobile system is NOT THE SAME as a desktop system.

    Regarding your question:
This system is not able to take a dual-core cpu, because you only have an Intel 910 chipset / 915GM which can only take Intel pentium M.

If you don t believe me just check out this site:

    Hello

I have goggled a bit and found that this laptop Satellite L30-105 was certainly equipped with the Intel Pentium Dual-Core CPU T2060 1.6 GHz.

I m similar L30 owner as a second notebook and at first start, I noticed that the Device Manager recognized the incorrect CPU.
I've simply removed the entry CPU since the Device Manager and rebooted again the Vista again recognized the CPU and advised the right CPU.

Please check this box. Maybe it helps.

  • It will work with an amd processor dual-core E1-2500 (1.4 GHz)

Will Firefox run on dual-core AMD E1-2500 (1.4 GHz) CPU

I do not know. According to a page that I saw, it supports SSE2, which is listed in the minimum requirements: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/40.0/system-requirements/

Are you interested in giving it a try to see if it works?

  • Can Satellite L300D 21 X receive a CPU upgrade - to dual-core?

I want to make my laptop more faster to use software for creating games.

    To do this, I need:

    (1) 2 GM RAM - which I know I can upgrade and does not seem to be a problem.

    (2) adequate graphic/video card

    (3) dual Core processor

    or

    (4) a new compatible motherboard

Is it possible and if yes, what parts are compatible, and can I do that I can't afford a new computer?

I search google for hours before coming here and there is really no conclusive answers out there anywhere that I can see.

    see you soon

    > Is - it possible and if yes, what parts are compatible, and can I do that I can't afford a new computer?

You can upgrade the RAM it would not be a big problem.
You should be able to update the RAM up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB)
RAM DDR2 800 Mhz must be compatible.

Upgrading the graphics card is not possible.

The new update of motherboard? Well, first you must use the same motherboard made for L300/L300D series due to the layout.
Second in my opinion it is completely useless since the new motherboard is expensive and would cost between 250-350. Before you spend 300 for the new motherboard, I recommend buying the new notebook

Upgrade CPU? It is a question of the compatibility of the chipset
Since the laptop uses an AMD chipset, you can only use AMD processors.
The laptop seems to be equipped with an AMD Sempron for Notebooks - 40 2 GHz CPU
If you really want to upgrade the processor, you must use the CPU of the same family

But even if you want to use the new processor from the same family, there will always be a BIOS compatibility issue.

  • Inspiron 530 s CPU Upgrade - why some Dual Core and not others?

    Hi all

Inspiron 530 s been chugging along fine (although strong), but has now been replaced, so decided to take a look inside, radiator & fan felt loose so unscrewed it and he lifted directly out absolutely no resistance, so I think that the cpu and the radiator cleaning and put thermal paste on would be a good idea.

When I opened it, I thought that I might as well upgrade the processor as older bicoeur are going for about $10-15 here, (he currently has a 1.87? double heart in it), so I got a reading of the forum to find what was possible

    from the bottom of post

    quote - shesageordie

Inspiron 530 s has a mother FoxConn G33m02 meets the specifications of Dell and will support the following Socket LGA 775 processors:

Also, Intel Pentium E6500 2.93 GHz processor dual core.

Before installing the processor, that you should check that you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or above, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.

Note: The Quad Core 2 processors are not supported by the Inspiron 530 s [Slimline]

    Bev.

    Theres now my problem

Seem some of the processors used cheap available locally does not not at these figures (and they seem to be somewhat of Eug than those that match)

for example the E8200 E6850, E7200, what of these processors prevents them from working?

And as a note aside will upgrade the radiator and the fan, if I get a different processor?

    Nigelt74

The E7200 and E8200 are 65w/45nm Wolfdale processors and should work.

The E6850 is a 65w/65nm Conroe and will not work

There should be no need to replace the entire radiator/fan of the 530 Inspiron s, but remember to check the version of the BIOS before installing the processor.
