  Try to boot in safe mode and remove the Norton System works from your laptop ;)

  I suggest the following:

  1. Uninstall everything related to first on your mp3 player.

  2 check your disk for errors, right click on the C drive in my computer, then choose Properties on the Tools tab, click dock now... then check the two checkboxes, then click Start then restart your PC.

  3 preform scan using

  11. If after all above failed, go into Device Manager while your mp3 player is connected and then see if the driver does not work properly or if it is there? If she's there with danger sign then try to uninstall or update the driver software or use restore option driver if they are available.

If that failed then go to msconfig (type in the start menu search box, and then press enter) then prepare your computer to clean boot by disabling any departure upward the items and no windows services, and then restart your computer.
