• Time Capsule will not extend the Airport Extreme network

  My airport extreme (do not know what version... can't even find it in the system report) offers a WiFi modem. I have a Time Capsule 4 G which extends the network. This works well for a few years now. Suddenly, the CAP began flashing yellow. Time capsule said Airport utility cannot extend the network and I should make sure the password is correct, that it is in the signal of a network, etc. I went through the settings of the time capsule by ensuring that passwords are correct. It is certainly within the range of the signal of the airport extreme (they are both in the same place as always... Besides, I put my iPhone next to the time capsule and I get a signal strong). I tried a hard reset of the time capsule. Of course, this does not work.

  Given that the Capsule does not correctly connect unless everything is OK with the AirPort Extreme... I suggest that you turn off the time Capsule for now and check that everything works correctly on the AirPort Extreme.

I am trying to expand the display of the T400 to the Acer monitor via a VGA cable. When I plug the monitor directly into the laptop, the screen extends. However, when I dock the T400 and connect the monitor to the Mini Dock, I can't get a signal on the screen. Any thoughts? Thank you.

• T410s overheated and now will not even POST

  I was watching Wimbledon today and suddenly my computer off. Overheating because she was on the couch. Not much, I put on the coffee table and restarted.   Replacing the hard drive solved the problem. I'm still a bit stuck why the bad HDD would prevent power, but at least it is fixed. Thanks for all the recommendations!

• Dell XPS 600 will not PUBLISH the same!

  I have a dell xps 600 with the 14f0w91 of service and code whenever I turn on the PC, all fans are on MAXIMUM speed with power clear amber and 3.4 lights are on. It will not even POST.

  If you have no instructions POST/Splash/Bios-setting the screen to the power, you seem to have a hardware problem.

• Diskpart.exe not extending XP SP3 volume

  I have an old computer with a hard drive that had been partitioned.  The operating system (XP SP3) is on the C: drive, but the C: drive has been allocated only 10 GB on a hard disk of 120 GB.  I deleted the D: partition and made unallocated space, but Diskpart still will not extend the C: drive at all.
  According to the MS website, Diskpart will not extend a volume on a dynamic disk in XP, only a basic disk.  So I checked C: is formatted as a basic disk.  Then, I did all the other disk unallocated space partition and reformatted it as a basic disk.  Then I deleted the partition and once again tried to extend C:.  DiskPart extend yet not the volume, even following the instructions of Diskpart explicitly.
  So, I am now considering making one unallocated space partition again, and then ghosts the c: on the new partition and delete the c: drive.  There are no programs other than the operating system on the C: drive, worth the savings.
  I'm trying to make the usable hard drive, so I can sell this computer.
  Another way I can try to extend the C: volume on the entire disk?
  Is my drive ghost idea worth?

  There are several third-party utilities that can either clone a partition with the same size or larger large size partition (see, for example, http://www.todo-backup.com/products/features/partition-clone.htm).  If you did that, then Yes, you could swap in the new drive and abandon the old disk or wipe, reformat and use it for a backup somewhere drive.

  There are also several score of third-party application manager that will allows to extend system partition / boot in the adjacent free space.  See, for example, http://www.partition-tool.com/easeus-partition-manager/features.htm (this app has two benefits: it's free and it is also able to do a cloning operation if you prefer).

  On a MBP and can use my apple TV as office extended, but if I try to stream a video from my iTunes library I get an error message saying: the network connection has expired.   Looks like you're using Airplay and trying to play iTunes content and watch via Airplay.

  If so, you would be better using the part of the House and streaming videos like this.  It uses the buffering and is less than half a load on your network.

  Using Airplay does not tax these as your network and buffer.

  It will not change no matter what I do.
  Most other items in the view tab have check boxes or replacements to choose.
  This is not the case.

  P.S. On a side note - I was looking for initially c:\programdata (directory). That's how all this started. I FOUND IT, is told in passing. HOWEVER - IT DOES NOT EVEN APPEAR ON THE PROMPT BACK - OMG.

  I see that you have some problems with the display tab in windows Explorer. I'll help you with this problem.

  1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

  2. what security software is installed on the computer?

  3. have you made changes on the computer recently?

  Method 1.

  Start the computer in safe mode and check if that helps.

  Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

  Method 3.

• CRNT FF: 1 of 5 emails lost all my messages on viewing but shows the amount of mails are there. Search can find them all, just will not appear in the Inbox

  1 of 5 email ACCOUNTS receive mail OK, but as soon as you leave this account and that you come back, nothing appears in the Inbox. The status bar shows however, that there are 32 emails it even if the Inbox is devoid of any text.

    Using Search, I can find ALL 32 emails by searching for a word in the subject field or the body fields. The mails ARE there!  They just do not display in the Inbox.
  

  Then... How the hell can I get the Inbox to display its content again?

  It worked until the day before yesterday when I read an e-mail from a reliable source and it automatically disappeared, along with all others in the Inbox. All other accounts are working very well.

     I tried creating a new email account but it wouldn't let me, giving me an error that the "incoming already exists".  No number or anything; it come when I click DONE in the creation process.  The new account will not write to the disk.
  

  I ran NOrton, AVG, MalWare Bytes, Windows Defender, Spybot AV and the other that I forgot the name of that time. ALL showed nothing found after each live scan success. I'm reasonable sure, I have no malicious software.

  Emails from this account are quite important, and I don't want to lose them if possible; they are for a Committee planning the 50th high-school reunion.

  Windows 7 HP, Dell XPS L702, 6 Gig of RAM, Intel i7 processor and lots of disk space. I've also compacted without change. The messages are all still there, but nothing shows in my Inbox; It is empty. I only see them using Find Messages from words I know are in them.

    Happy to provide any other info needed to evaluate this.  Oh, the account Sends OK too; it's a POP3 account setup.
