Win 7 Ater lost backup,

OEM OS of my HP mini 311-1037NR was Win 7 Home Premium. After a system backup on a disk DVDsl, carried out via an external USB DVD drive multi player, {my laptop has no disk, except the hard drive} I got this message {cannot find the Boot Manager please pres Ctrl-alt-del to restart}. Its been 3 months now and a friend who is in Win Vista Business School school build installed on my PC about 3 weeks of there is now not in a usable state now works and worsens with each use. IM online through an ATT router by ethernet now, but the loss of connection through the web in a few mouse clicks. I don't know my product key OEM * the tag is not readable. I've recorded with HP and MS for purchase in September 2010. How to bring back my OS OEM? Thanks Frank

  • Win 7: incrementing error backup and restore previous "Windows backup has not been implemented" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer".

    * - Title original - Win 7: incrementing previous backup and restore

Last week, I did a "backup and recovery" on my Win 7 64 bit computer, create a folder WindowsImageBackup 118 GB on an external HARD drive.

I like incremental backup the same material on a base weekly, I tried to do the first incremental backup this morning.
However, my "Backup and Restore" menu control configuration\systeme and securite\ tells me that "Windows backup was not put in place" and that "Windows cannot find a backup for this computer", even if the external HARD disk is attached and recognized.
How can I set B R & to realize progressively the same backup that I did last week?  I don't want the schedule to run regularly, but will do it manually.
    Thank you

    Hello msab,.

Thanks for posting on our forums.

Please check that the hard drive is formatted in NTFS.  If you think that the updates may be the cause, unstill them one at a time to see if that solves your problem.

  • Import of PSE9 Win to PSE9 Mac backup

    Hello

I was just having fun with my new Mac when I tried to import backup edition of Windows 9.0 PSE.

Version Mac said that "there is no correct backup hard disk!

The backup was made a few minutes before with version 9.0 of PSE.

The catalogs of the victory and the Mac version are not completely compatible?

All pictures are on an external hard drive. The PSE catalog is on the computer - but where? I tried to copy the catalog file only. But I have not found it. A does anyone know where to find the catalog file in Win Vista only?

Now, how could I bring my catalog based on Win or the backup of the version of PSE - Win for my new Mac?

    Thanks for your help!

They are compatible, but there is a witch hunt. You must find the .tly, not the whole file and point to restore.

    More details here:

    http://barbarabrundage.com/2010/10/07/moving-a-catalog-from-Windows-to-Mac/

EDIT try not to move the catalog separately. It does not work.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: After winning 10 ipgrade lost the Scan from the printer function

    Update Win 7 Pro.

Digitization of works normally in the HP Support Assistant (fully updated) and inside my desktop (the .bin file) application where I have access to all the functions of the printer.

Scanning initiated by the product of the printer normally but in the end, it fails with an error message.

    The error message reads:

"The HP scanning Application could not save the file to the specified location.

It is same location Assistant support and the decstop succesfully registers, namely

    C: Users/username/documents.

Is this a form of rights issue administrator/access, I wonder because he is obviously not a driver issue or a printer.

Thank you very much in advance for any wisdom.

You know @Scarguts, I have to be honest, I don't know if it is a question of rights, or if there is something wrong with the destination of your choice. I choose a new destination and try to scan the image. You can make this change in the printer Assistant software.

This will help isolate the problem.

  • Lost backup utility from One Care to Windows Live Essentials?

I recently transferred to Windows Live Essentials after my subscription to One Care became unavailable, the transition was easy and I found that Essentials is a great alternative, how ever when I realized that he was not back up installation included in the package, I returned to the accessories of Windows to back up my computer to my external hard drive.

Only to find that the backup facility had been removed when I removed One Care? I searched my machine and looked at restoring to an earlier installation of date back to the utility originally stae, but have had no joy.

Because all my back up to external hard disk refer to One Care (which is now removed) my machine does not recognize the back ups, and because One Care isn't here, too, there is no possibility to restore from the hard drive.

One has the same problem and is there a solution to restore Windows backup utility with doing a full reinstall and lose all my programs, files, data, ect? help urgently needed please!

I had the same problem after removing a care. Found the original disks supplied with the Microsoft XP Home Edition computer, browsed the disk and found the backup utility program it and reinstalled.

However, I think that the problem should not have occurredit the first place. I hope this helps.

  • Lost backup directory

I have several bare hard drives that I use for weekly backups of archives in an external dock using synctoy. In one of them, disappeared from the backup directory. I know that the data is still there, since the properties sector chart indicates the amount of space used, and I've just recovered from this situation once before. All that shows in windows Explorer is the trash, information of the system, a folder of Diskeeper volume containing old data defrag and a couple of files found.xxx chkdsk runs. All these files except the diskeeper and $RECYCLE. BIN are inaccessible and show 0 bytes in properties. $RECYCLE. BIN contains the file of 0 byte S-1-5-21-622440268-1636185174-4238469710-500

It happened once before, but I don't remember if I did anything other than restart to solve it. Given zero had no effect this time.

    Other facts:
-We have abnormal defragmentation endings in the past, due to training dismantling suddenly for no apparent reason, and it could have happened the last time I backed up.
-It is a 2 TB drive which is full of 82%.

Thank you for the comprehensive answer. Unfortunately, the hidden folder was not the problem, nor was there a restore point previous versions...

But: Shortly after the announcement the problem, I have messed around with explore for awhile, and somehow the c:\found.001 file became available. Don't know what I did. I was not connected with administrator privileges. There was a bunch of files under named dirxxx.chk. I've highlighted several of them to random file names and little recognized, but explore shows 0 bytes for them. I tried to copy a couple of them to work in the car to see if they were valid file types, but they weren't, so I abandoned that effort.

But after trying your suggestions, I decided to go back to the .chk files more methodically. BINGO! dir001.chk had the content of the missing backup directory full of files intact. I created the correct folder and moved them to her, removed the files found and everything is good. Now I'm happy I made the hour long chkdsk yesterday before trying anything else.

I left my laptop, cut volume: returned to find no audio signal.

I have no sound. I have reinstalled audio drivers twice (first soundmax UN-installing the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel). When I play the media, the software seems to work very well, do not detect any malfunction.

When I try to adjust the volume of the panel\sounds ctrl and devices audio, all sliders work, but when I go to the Audio tab and choose the volume of medium, sound recording and playback - I get "windows cannot execute sndvol32.exe. Use ctrl to add or remove installation Panel. but I don't think that's the problem, because it has always been like that.

my microphone works very well and people can hear me on Skype. My speakers are working and so is the audio line to the front - Jack, I hear of your system, for example when the power cable is removed or inserted.
