Win 7/Dell 5200/plds dvd + RW DS-8A8SH - driver corrupt

About three weeks ago, I used my DVD player - in Audio mode.  I tried it today - no joy.  Looked at the parameters of the driver - "corrupted".  Driver removed, installed driver current - no joy.

CD/DVD worked fine for two years +.

Any suggestions?

  • PLDS DVD +-RW DH - 16AES will not burn a DVD - RW

    Hello

I have a PLDS DVD +-RW DH - 16AES drive in my workstation Precision T1700. It burns no more than DVD - RW discs.  I ran various diagnoses and there is nothing obviously wrong. I tried to burn discs from Sony and Maxell DVD - RW. I can't even format the disk using Windows Explorer.

    Any suggestions?

Ritek is not one of my favorite brands. You can see the comments here are mixed for this media code. So, I'd like to try something else. I honestly think that DVD + RW is usually better.

Another thing. You need to format the RW disks.

  • DVD burner in the new laptop VERY SLOW - PLDS DVD +-RW OF THE - 8A5HH

I just got a new laptop from Best Buy - Dell Inspiron 3521. There a PLDS DVD +-RW OF THE - 8A5HH drive built in. I tried to burn a data CD, but it failed several times.

I tried these in the file Explorer and CyberMedia Power2Go Burns, also at the Maximum speed or 24 X. It was using both Philips 52 X speed CDR burning failed at the end, when the burner is trying to close the disc. He couldn't complete a burn speed X 10 (very slow) to Power2Go. File Explorer strangled between 7 X and 10 x to be able to burn and did not show a dialog box saying if the burn is complete or not. He left me guessing.

It was after a call to Dell technical support and a trip on the Microsoft Support Site to use their CD - RW test online. He said he updated something, but I don't know what.

I must say it's a disappointment. I think I should have bought a laptop without a burner inside and bought an external burner. At least that way I had have the choice of what I got. This burner is slooowly.

Anyone have any idea if this can be fixed, or is it just a limitation of the burner is in this laptop? If it is material, well I guess you get what you pay for.

Dell phone support fixed it. Went to the Microsoft Support website and ran a convenience store of material for DVD players, who suggested the update of the firmware of the player. He did that, and then we went back and burned a disc in the file Explorer and it worked, but only to 10 X I opened Power2Go and burned a disc at 24 X, and it burned successfully. I didn't actually measure the speed (Power2Go shows you that), but it worked well and quickly. I think that the problem was an outdated firmware for the DVD/CD burner. Flashing to the latest firmware fixed the problem.

I want, I knew that this troubleshooting tool on the Microsoft support site, but now I can not find.

  • Dell XPS PLDS DH - 481S BD - RE

I recently bought an HD camcorder and try to edit/burn blu - ray movie discs.  My computer is Dell XPS 420 Vista SP2.  The Blu - Ray player I try to burn the movie with is a PLDS DH - 481S BD - RE drive internal.  I applied all the drivers and firmware updates.

I use Adobe Premier elements 8.0.1 for films of the author. I specify Preset = 'H.264 1920x1080i NTSC Dolby' as output for Adobe Premiere burn.  I'm using a Verbatim BD - R 25 GB white.

I posted my problem on the forum of the Adobe Premiere Elements.  The consensus is that there may be a problem hardware or firmware with Blu - Ray player on my computer.

How can I determine if the Blu - Ray drive is the source of my problem?

    Andrew,

I'm so sorry. I should have checked the model of your drive. You can write to CD and DVD media, but the reader can't READ blu ray discs. The good news is that you have two bays 5.25 "and that he could easily add a BD writing drive.

  • PLDS DVD +-RW DS - 8A3S do not write

I have a Dell 1545 with PLDS DVD +-RW DS - 8A3S.  I am running Win7 with all updates.  I can play CDs and DVDs fine, but I can't write to CD or DVD.  Device Manager it lists as "CD-ROM" and said that the current driver (Microsoft - version 6.1.7601.17514 - 21/06/2006) is up-to-date.  I burned the CD and DVD with her in the in the past, but I'm not sure if I tried to burn anything since I changed from Vista to Win7 some time ago.

    I'd appreciate any help

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific model number. Dell: http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/product/Inspiron-1545

If there is no driver, your PC may not work correctly (No. LAN or WiFi, Audio, USB, etc.) after the installation of Windows 7.

If there are Windows 7 drivers, download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, then from the card mother/chipset drivers, LAN, Audio, USB, Graphics, SATA, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

  • How to install Windows 7 on a new SSD, Dell Windows 7 DVD

I have a new SSD for my workstation Precision 7510.  I need to install windows 7 on it from the DVD provided by Dell.  The DVD has no drivers and so when I try and install, I get a message about "the installation media does contain not all drivers" and the installation will not allow me to continue.  Keep in mind that my new SSD has no partition recovery or in fact any partition.  I have a drivers Cab file and I also have this unpacked on a USB key, but it does not appear as a disk when I "Browse".  Neither the new SSD - t - there no partitions...

Do I need to format the SSD drive first?

Could someone tell me where I can get the drivers and all that forms, they must be in?  In other words, I need to burn it to a DVD, and what would the structure of directory?  Do I have to download all the drivers separately - there are a number of EXEs on the support site, or can I use the Dell Enterprise site CAB file?

I tried various things now since a few days and I'm losing my grip on reality :)

    Thanks in advance.

  • What is the difference between win 7 pro DSP OEI DVD and the OEM or normal Full pack?

    1. What is the difference between win 7 pro DSP OEI DVD and the pack OEM or normal Full we learned normally?
    2. does DSP OEI DVD comes with CD of instalation?

These versions are for small integrators (DSP = 'partners in enforcement service'), which usually contain a single Windows (1pk = 32-bit or 64-bit, not both as in commercial versions) and an OEM preinstallation kit to preconfigure Windows and/or integrate additional tools (OEI = 'Installation of Original equipment' or 'Integration organizational environment'). They have the same limitations that versions OEM = license is tied to the computer where the operating system has been installed initially and not transferable in case of death of the machine. • Win 7 Center multimedia playback of ripped DVD to my HARD drive.

I am trying to play movies from my library that I ripped to my HARD drive so the discs don't be destroyed, I can find changes in registry for Vista, but nothing for Win 7 at this point. I downloaded my movies to try it but nothing helps, I can burn movies on HARD drive but viewing leaves much to be desired. Appears as a broken screen, very pixelated, which cannot be seen, the music is heard, but not able to view the image.
This is a new installation X 64, 4 GB of Ram with a processor AMD Athlon 2 + and a GT220 1 GB DDR3 video card, he read a Blue Ray movie without any problem from the drive and plays all DVD disc ok, but won't from the HARD disk. The Media Center also will see the DVD on the HARD drive in the movie library.
Have Cyberlink BD Edition to play movies on disc.
    Anyone has any ideas please?
You want to run Win Home Server but get this straight first.
    Thank you.

    Hi PET-240,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

This problem may occur if the video adapter driver is not updated. I suggest you update the driver card BIOS, Chipset and graphics of the website of the manufacturer.

Also download and install a pack of codecs on your computer. Use your favorite search engine to search for an updated codec pack.

The DVD library is not automatically enabled. If it is not enabled, you do not see your DVD content stored in your hard drive.

The below mentioned link and follow the steps to enable the DVD library:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/930526

This link is for Windows Vista, but it also applies to Windows 7.

    I hope this helps.

  • Can I import images of DVD on my HARD drive through Bridge (I have Win 7

    Hello

I use Win 7 (and also to have bridge on Mac OS X). I would like to import images of DVD on my HDD via Adobe Bridge. But I can't find the option to import DVDs in bridge (whether in Windows 7 or Mac). My DVD player on my Win machine is external, so that I have the regular internal DVD on my Macbook Pro drive. I'm trying to import pictures from DVD to HDD via Bridge. Pass the first round selection/reject by the bridge and then bring them to LR for more changes.

I copy them now the DVD drive in a USB key. And then using the dialog box import Bridge (when I plug the USB again) copy on my HARD drive. I'm doing this because I need to batch rename my files, add metadata and keywords on import. These additions will not allow the function of simple copy/move and so I have to resort to this workaround from USB DVD on the HARD drive (across bridge). If I can import directly from DVD via Bridge, it will save me some time.

    Looking forward help pls.

    THX,

    Chinmoy

I feel a bit silly now. For 2 days, I struggled and then posted my Q.

After posting the Q, I thought about it in about 15 minutes.

    Insert the DVD.

    BR open

    Navigate to DVD

    Select all images

    Right-click - Batch Rename

Choose the Destination path and the new file name.

    And go!

If you have had the same problem, I did, hope this helps.

  • Win 7 by default, the white arrow and the "cursor corrupted files" pop-up windows.

    Original title: Max the mouse

I had a little friendly MS mouse pointer / cursor schema greet me on the initialize upward from Win 98 to Win 2000 Milnm, finally to Win XP.  It was simple, little grey mouse that has nibbled cheese if the program was busy.  Since the abandonment of Win XP, I bought a Dell E6440 with Win 7 Pro installed. I used a USB transfer cable / program to migrate settings and files above. My favorite mouse pointer scheme is not. I tried to change my plan of cursor recorded, but Win 7 by default, the white arrow and the "cursor corrupted files" pop-up windows.

Someone at - he saw this original classic pointer / cursor for Win 7 64 bit?

Thank you, Mr. Singh. That did not help.  But for the record, I finally found the correct cursor plan I was looking here: http://www.rw-designer.com/cursor-set/mouse download a .zip file that I had bad access to when you change the pointer of the mouse, but resolved by downloading each schema of cursor .ani and .cur individually on the site. I used this from Win 98 to Win XP.

  • Carpet * a DVD - RAM UJ-811 drive

    Laptop: Satellite A10-S703
    Carpet * a DVD - RAM UJ-811 drive supports 2 x DVD-R burning.

The minimum speed of blank media DVD-R available on the market is 4 x.

A warning on the cover of Imation DVD - R 4 x recordable disks says
"Download the free firmware required to avoid damaging your Player 2 x" the given url is http://www.imation.com/products/dvd_media/dvd_firmware.html

The links provided under Toshiba / Panasonic are not useful.

Can someone guide me if I can burn 4 x media on this drive?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Ravi,

If you have the DVD burner that can burn DVD-R with a speed x 2 there is no way to improve the speed of burning at 4 x speed.

Some firmware updates of aid to enable support for new media and has increased by a few burning questions (results of optimal registration for your reader).

    Hi Rhoog,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forums.

We're here to help and guide you in the right direction.

    1. What are the contents of the DVD?
    2. what version of windows you are using on the computer?
    3. is that the chapters are presented separately in folders on the DVD?

    (a) right click on DVD click on Open.
    (b) select and copy chapter.
    (c) go to the location where you want to download the chapter and paste.

    Hope that helps.
