Win 7 Firefox 3.6.13, new tab does not open when you click on it, on the desktop or laptop computer.
I can not open a new tab in Firefox 3.6.13, running Windows 7. It does work on my desktop or my laptop. When I click on the '+' to add a tab, or right-click on it and choose 'New tab', nothing happens.
"AskToolbar" extension is causing the problem. You can disable it in tools, modules, Extensions and restart Firefox.

My home page does not open when I click on "new tab".
OK, I made the topic: config and it changed to google.com appears when I open a new tab. It does not work for me. When I open a new tab, it happens;
-There is no link at all
-An icon for Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Amazon, Ebay, Google Maps, Google Mail, Outlook, Linkedin, Tumblr, Instagram and an option to add another.
-There is a gear top-left icon, when you click on it, it shows an arrow, a sign more, 3 by 2 blocks, paint palette, and a pencil.
-This isn't the page that displays your most used pages, and is not the subject: Home screen, words: newtab screen or the on: white screen
If anyone can help that would be great and thank you in advance!Well I fixed it. There was a 'astromenda' or something like that down so I clicked it and there is an uninstall option. Thanks for the help anyway

Looks like that for me, it was the Firebug extension that was screwing things up. Disable Firebug solved the problem.

Address in a new tab bar is empty when you click on a link in another tab
With the help of 39 FF with a MacBookPro Yosemite running.
For the last few releases, when I click on a link in a tab, the new tab opens to the correct Web site, but the address bar is empty. I can get it by clicking on another tab, then return (but it's boring). Any ideas?

Now on Firefox 28.0. I had an update for Divx and installed. Following this new tabs have been directly at search.conduit. I uninstalled it but now when I open new tabs I get a blank page and have to manually directly to my home page. Previously, a new tab automatically open as my homepage (Google). From Firefox puts me the correct home page. How can I make sure that each new tab opens on my homepage?
Your settings may have changed when you installed DivX. You can set the new tab page to something different from what follows:
- Go to about: config
- Click on I'll be careful, I promise!
- Search for browser.newtab.url
- Double click on the string, delete Subject: newtab and enter whatever you want (www.google.com)
- Close Firefox and reopen.

New tabs does not open (to connect) unless I move the mouse. Why?
As noted, when I open a new tab just hangs until I move my mouse. When I stop moving the mouse, the new tab freezes again ergo, I must keep it around in circles until it opens!
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

Additional tabs will not open when I click on the +.
When I open Firefox I get a page initial, but cannot open additional tabs when I click on the '+' to open an additional tab. I have Firefox 30.
You have all "Community Toolbar' extensions or other modules leads? These seem to be incompatible with Firefox 30 somehow.
You can check and disable the extensions on page modules. Either:
- Command + shift + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
What helps with the button "+"? If so, you can name the specific extension that caused the problem?
You can also see the Plugins page modules. You can never use 'activate' to disable plugins that you do not usually use.

Firefox search ok but does not link when you click it. All updates.
Win 7 x 64, 10 Firefox, Norton I.S. I ran a scanner driver yesterday and some old drivers updated. Everything seemed ok, but today I opened FF 9 and found I could do a search on any topic ok but when I clicked on the link, nothing is returned. If I fly over the tags overview (> >) I can see the low address change when I go to various links, but nothing is returned. If I click on a link to the image while sometimes works but text never does. Tried deleting and reloading / updating FF later. Deleted all the apps etc cookies and returned to the restore point always even. IE and chrome ok. Now stuck.
It should have been a temporary problem: Google makes some changes to the code on their site that breaks search results exactly that way for users who have not activated the cookies. It should be fixed now.
