Since you posted your product key on a public web site, it has now
almost certainly already been copied and used by hackers all over the
world. This means that Microsoft disables this button so it can't be
    more used.

Please, in the future, never publish your key like this.

But leaving that aside for the moment, to answer your question, if
It is a key to the retail sale, Yes, you can use it on another computer. If it's a
    OEM key, no you can't.

  • Win 7 Pro 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit Edition.

I have Win 7 Pro 32 Bit Edition, now I have Win 7 64 bit. My product key will work record win 7 64 bit?

    Hello
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

The upgrade between architectures is not supported. You will need to perform a new installation using the respective architecture installation media, for example, the needs of Windows x 64 Windows x 64 DVD. If you happen to have a retail copy of Windows 7 Pro, the same key can be used for x 64 also. But note that the upgrade option is not available, even if you plan to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate x 64.

Current running Win 7 Pro 32 bit, need to upgrade to 64 - bit and can not really afford to pay the Tagus almost $300 price for Win 7 Pro 64.  What I peux/how to install Win 7 Home 64 bit on my machine?  Do not really need the Win 7 pro feature.

You must perform a 'custom' / pure install the 64-bit version because there is no "Upgrade" path

This means that you must back up all your important data (Documents, music, photos, video, Etc.) to external media. In addition, you will have to reinstall your applications once installed the 64 bit version of Windows, so round up all the media application you and product keys before you start.

Also create an image backup of your version of 32-bit as a fallback option just in case there are questions.

Then, download the device drivers 64-bit on the web support site you PC from the manufacturer and burn them on a CD.

Now you are ready to start the 64-bit installation.

No need to buy the home Premuim

If you have a business retail or OEM of Windows 7 Pro version, you can download the. • Install an SSD in an Inspiron 3650 I7 6700 16 GB Ram 2 TB hard drive Amd R9 380 graphic and running Win 7 Pro 64-bit

    Hello:

I have the above referenced PC and want to add an SSD (boot with OS drive).  I would like to make this my c: drive ssd.  I want to keep the Windows 7 operating system.  I made the disarmament recovery disks I opened the PC.  I don't want to win 10.

Could someone with their infinite knowledge teach me throughout the procedure with pictures if possible?  What parts do need me if any?

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

I thought I was doing a 512 GB SSD.  The system came with Win 10 Pro 64 bit installation floppies, but I'm used to and prefer to use Win 7.  The idea of cloning seems interesting.  In fact, it looks to the ticket.  What cloning software is recommended.  The priority of the boot in the BIOS change after cloning?  I am concerned with what type of SSD should I purchase (interface, transfer rate, etc.), what cables, if any, and which adapters will be necessary?

At work, I have all my computers run with SSD (OS/startup) and they run like rockets.  This new computer runs great, but with a SSD for the start, program files, "scratch disks", I'll be in the drive hyper.  I'd be in Mary for a bargain price.

Yet once again, thank you very much for you answer quickly.  I have several Dell optiplex computers in office and did not have a problem.

Thank you once again to Osprey

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

I propose to you leave as is and put to upgrade to 8.1 Windows put in day 1 which significantly improves the user experience for mouse and keyboard users, more:

what I have to buy a new copy of license or just pay the amount of the upgrade to the new version of windows? If so how do I do that?

    The upgrade to Windows XP?

Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.

2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.

    3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.

If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services.

  • can't add programs to CentOS 5.5 64-bit VM on Win 7 Pro 64-bit

I was able to install CentOS 5.5 64 bit VM on a Dell precision M6500 with Win 7 Pro 64-bit. Installation was surprisingly simple, and I was ready to install more programs that I need. However, whatever programs I tried to add, I got an error message saying basically I was running from disk space (see attached photo). I think there will be a fairly simple solution to this.

FYI, I use VMWARE workstation 7.1.3. c. My hard drive is encrypted (company policy), if that makes a difference. I used to be able to run dual-boot with Windows and Linux, but due to the encrypted hard drive, I decided to go with virtual machines. And I absolutely have to go 64 bit for my applications.

The use of the virtual machine is basically to start simulations physical high-energy particles. Sometimes, I may need to distance and access guestOS office, but probably it is not shared with anyone.

If you see better VMWARE or other products that meet my needs run linux, freel free to respond. From my limited experience with installation, VMWARE workstation came more remote with "usable" OS installation. I tried virtual box and VM Win7 all come short, even at the stage of the installation.

    Thank you very much.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

There is a simple solution.  Use the settings of the virtual machine to expand your drive - select the disk and choose the Utilities menu.  The virtual machine must be turned off to do this.  From there, you can use gparted or LVM to resize partitions if necessary.

    Good luck!

    * original title - I have the windows key, but you need to download Windows Vista Business. Where can I find? I do to decompress the ISO? *

    Hello

There is no free and legal Vista download

Here are the different ways to reinstall vista:

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • Win 7 Pro 32 bit time material plug unplug sound several times with no connection to install new

Win 7 Pro 32-bit o/s, 3.06 ghz processor, 4 GB of RAM and nothing plugged in, clean and fresh install. There is a game repeated (constantly) connection / disconnected material 'sound' that repeats itself about every 6 seconds. There is nothing connected to the USB ports or something and that a single HD is connected and powered. There is no related tasks on demand for this activity, no programs are installed and no customization of what either just a new installation. I moved the HD to another PC and saw the same event. An another clean install of the o/s was the same. With or without additional programming, the problem is obvious.

I've eliminated all services by toggle, but the sound continues its repetition. Event and error logs do not display anything.

Please, comments or any souutions will be appreciated as soon as possible... Microsoft had no entry.

All I can do to stop the sound to repeat is to turn off the sounds is select 'no sound' in the sound options.

    Hi KJ6I,

You can check in Device Manager if there are unknown devices that are not getting detected.

To open the device manager follow the link below.

    Open the Device Manager

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Device-Manager

In addition, scan for any change of hardware in Device Manager

Open Device Manager, click Action, and then click on Search the hardware changes. Follow the instructions

Now, restart the computer and check what is happening.

Also see the wire that connects the hard drive to the computer, because this could be the reason for the sound.

You also try to run a check disk to disk and let it repair.

    1. Click Start, type cmd in the start search box, right-click cmd.exe in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    CHKDSK X: /R

Note: In this command, x is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check.

    3. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

    4. close all applications and restart the computer.

Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts.

    5. after the computer restarts, repeat steps 1 through 4 for the other volume and try the backup operation again.

  • Where can I find the Windows Media Player for WIN 7 Pro 32 Bit?

My windows media player will not open. I upgraded from Windows 7 starter to windows 7 Professional recently. I have windows 7 32-bit professional. I tried to use the 64-bit (this is all that is available on the windows site, but my computer says this is not the right program and will not install it.) Where can I find the WMP for WIN 7 Pro 32 Bit?

Unless you have an "N" of Windows 7 edition, you must have Windows Media Player. If you have an "N" edition, please visit:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows7/products/what-is-Windows-7-N-Edition

For more details and a download link.

The case, first try to find the executable file for Windows Media Player and create a new shortcut from that.

    1. open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).

    2. navigate to:

    C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player

    3. find the file named wmplayer.exe and then right-click on it and create a shortcut on the desktop.

    4. test the shortcut.

If the above does not work, try:

    1. click on Start (lower-left) and then on Control Panel.

    2. click on programs and features.

    3. on the left side of the screen, click on 'Windows turn features on or off".

    4. look for the entry called multimedia features, expand it, and then *check the box next to Windows Media Player.

    5. click on OK.

    6. restart the PC.

    * If the Windows Media Player box is already checked, uncheck the box , click OK, restart your PC, then do steps 1-6 above.
