Hey there,
One thing before you start, this solution won't work for (its of course HP) inkjet printers
Try the next step, I believe that this will help you overcome the problem.
1. start by dissconnecting the USB cable. (If its connecetd wireleslly, go to the next step)
2 remove the printer driver of "devices and printer" which is located in Control Panel.
3. download the complete solution for your printer.
4. extract the contents of the file. (Using winrar or any other method, you know)
5 open the "Utils" folder and choose in the "x 64"(ou le «x32"encas vous utilisez ce type de système) subfolder, you should be able to locate a file called 'RemovePreInstalledDrivers' > once you open this file black screen opens, wait for it to close, then move to the next step.". "
6. go to the main folder where you have already extracted the software and right click on the file x 64.msi (name is most likely your printer model), then choose the Option "repair". > Subsequently, you will be asked of preformed a reboot. (Incase you will get a Messege saying "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed" simply double-click the file instead)
7. after rebooting, the head in the drive Local C/ProgramFiles/HP/PrinterModelFolder/bin/USBSetupL uncher (or DeviceSetupLuncher if his wirellesly connected) and double click it.
8 follow the steps for you and connect the USB cable when you are invited to (if the wireless sound just choose the wireless option)Who should add the scanner to your imaging devices.
Best Of luck ~ -
Model A3E82AV number
I've been avoiding Windows 10 because I knew something like this was going to happen, but I took the pludge. Anyway, everything seemed to work but my wireless adapter. After the upgrade, the rocker on the keyboard turns on and outside airplane mode, and I can't switch to map wireless in Windows settings.
I can get wireless adapter to turn on, go into that in a minute, but if I shutdown or reboot, the problem returns.
I had success in the driver update, or by manually installing the driver, I even read a tip to make the battery, hold the power button down while the battery is out and run it upwards. I tried to reset the BIOs to default settings. When the computer feels like it, the wireless adapter will start working after a reboot. If I have the toggle switch, the light goes from orange to white, I can then activate wireless and connect to my SSID. If I stop or restart, my wireless NETWORK card no longer works and we return to the toggle keyboard turning power on and off airplane mode. Device Manager says it is working normally and the drivers are up to date.I read a post from microsoft that says VPN adapters could cause corruption while making the upgrade. I'm a professional, so I got a handful of cards, but also virtual cards VMWare Workstation installed, so I tried to come back to Win 7, remove the adapters, are re-upgrade. It does not solve the issue. While I was back in Windows 7, everything worked most of the time, but there were some problems with the programs, etc. which would not work right. When I upgraded to Windows 10, some of these problems persist, so I checked my backups to make sure they were up to date and did a new install of windows 10. I am now running a new image with just firefox, associate of HP and the different drivers Intel, I tried to install, and I still can't get the card wireless to tour consistantly on / off power after a reboot. I thought for sure the nuclear option could solve the problem now I can't even go back to Windows 7. I did mention to try some recommended drivers Intel, I found in other posts... I also tried to uninstall the driver, and install in compatibility mode, but that has not worked, either.
This one had me scratching my head. I tried literally everything I can find on the internet in an attempt to solve the problem, and nothing will keep the work of consistantly wireless NETWORK card. Any other ideas out there?
Looking at the forums, appears not to have a lot of people in all areas of this issue with different brands of computers and network interface cards. If anyone knows anything else to try, I would really appreciate it.FIXED!
I think so. I downloaded and installed the bios for Windows 8. After that, I managed shutdown and booted my laptop 3 times and restarted once. Every time you start after the installation of the firmware BIOs, the card automatically turned on and connected to my SSID NETWORK. Since the upgrade to Windows 10 I saw not the laptop automatically start and connect the wireless NETWORK card and he did successfully 4 times now.
The file that I downloaded from the HP Web site was update the BIOs for Windows 8 version F.2D rev A. The file name is sp68425. I will continue to monitor and make sure that it was indeed the fix, but all great so far.For people who can run on the same topic, here's a recap of what I did to solve my problem:
Centrino 2230 installed 15.18.0.1 driver
Update driver Bluetooth 10.0.10586.0Updated the BIOS to the version of Windows 8 F.2D Rev A
If you decide to play with the BIOs firmware, just be aware that if things go well, you could cause more damage to your system. I would only try this method if you are uncomfortable for the recovery of a faulty BIOS installation. -

I have Windows XP Pro. and lose the connection with my printer (HP Officejet 6500 and I was told that I had to upgrade to Windows 7) Can I upgrade to Windows 7 without having to first install Vista?
You can - clean installation however. No direct path from Windows XP to Windows 7.
If the machine is old, but - I wouldn't bother. You will end up by it hate because it is slow and probably blame the operating system.
The upgrade to Windows 7 is not a solution for the loss of connectivity to a printer - not a logic.
Is what SPECIFIC printer this?
HP Officejet 6500 has e-all-in-One Printer series - E710HP Officejet 6500 All - in - One Printer series - E709If you download and install the latest appropriate WIndows XP complete software driver for your printer and maybe upgrade the firmware of the printer itself-, it would probably solve your problem. If you use it as a wireless printer (it is printed through your network, but not connected by a cable [ethernet]) so you can check for updgrades to the firmware of your router (level) and reconfigure your network completely wireless if you start with a good foundation.

I want to uninstall the upgrade of windows 7 and go back to Vista.
This device comes preinstalled with Vista so that I only have the recovery disks that I made when I first set up the computer. How can I uninstall the upgrade of windows 7 and reinstall Vista?
BogeyB,
If you have made a real upgrade (overlay on Vista), you might be surprised. Click on the computer and open the D Recovery drive. Open the folder named Recovery. Look at the bottom left corner.
What is the date of creation? Mine is from 2007. I do not superimpose WIN 7 until 2011, but the recovery is still 2007.
It's actually your full version of Vista recovery... it didn't get deleted or altered, except if you did.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Tray Lock worked until the upgrade of Windows 10
Since a year now, I have 1 locked drawer for our book of receipt only, easier than all the other printing set to automatically select the default tray to tray 2 (Tray 1 is locked and all)! But I tried the upgrade of Windows 10, that was an epic fail and my cpomputer was sent to the doctor for the day. When I came back I had to basically start over with a new computer. I have everything back to be better than before, but THIS problem! Receipts in Tray 1 and my payment software its configured for Tray 1 specifically for receipts. All other default things that select and always tray 2. I can't anything out of tray 1. HOWEVER, my boss's computer is on a network with it and when it prints a receipt from his computer he properly dispences Tray 1. Yet.
Help! PLEASE, I BEG YOU!
Lacey!
Hi @L2thaJ,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I understand that you are unable to print correctly on tray 1 on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.
Is the other computer Windows 10 institutions, who works for printing on tray 1?
It looks like Windows 10 and the software you are using does not work with the printer driver, what might happen.
You are able to print to Tray 1, when printing from MS Word or Notepad?
Please ensure that you use the latest printer driver for your printer.
Download and run The printer Installation Wizard. The HP printer installation wizard detects automatically the best print available for your HP printer driver. It is only available for Windows 7, 8 and 10.
Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

HP Photosmart C6280: cannot print on C6280 wireless after the upgrade to Windows 10

Hi @Ron9871,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I see that you are unable to get your printer HP Photosmart C6280 wireless printing. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.
I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).
If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.
- Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
- Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
- Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
- Select Manual IP.
- Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
- Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
- Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
- Click on apply.
Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.
If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)
- Use the File Checker system to repair missing or corrupted system files. It's always a good idea to back up your data before proceeding.
- File system check (SFC) analysis and repair system files & DISM to fix things that are not SFC.
You can try to change your WSD printer port by a Standard TCP/IP port.
To do this, you will need your current IP address printers. The Network Setup page shows the parameters of network for the product. To print this page; Press the button of network () on the control panel of the product.

I need to uninstall I-Tunes before the upgrade to Windows 7 and I'm afraid that I do; lose any music library? I'll be able to download I Tunes and recover my music library >?
original title: Windows 7 upgrade from VISTA?Hi Jrawie,
If you want to upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7, you won't lose iTunes music library. However, there is a chance of losing the music of iTunes library if you choose custom installation.
You can see the Microsoft article for more information on the upgrade:

This problem started immediately after the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) to Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit). Again, I want to remind that I never had this problem before installing Windows 7.
-After a reboot, I am presented with the impossible to connect the network indicator (yellow triangle with!) in the task bar. (It was how I was welcomed after the installation of Windows 7 is said by the way).
-The only way I found to regain connectivity is to uninstall and reinstall the network via the device manager card, date at which the computer always successfully connects and remains connected until the next reboot.

Do you need to uninstall MSE before the upgrade to Windows 7?
I am upgrading to Windows 7 Home Premium from XP, uninstall MSE for the upgrade?
There is no place in upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7, so disabling or uninstalling, so be it, you will need to do a custom installation.
The upgrade to Windows XP?
Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.
Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).
More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.
1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.
2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.
3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.
4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."
5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.
If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services.

The upgrade of Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows pro
When upgrading windows 8 on a newly purchased computer, can I switch to Windows Pro 8.1 without first update for Windows 8.1. I would like to skip the step of the upgrade to windows 8.1. Thanks for your help.
Here's the answer to your question from the research I've done. The upgrade to 8.0 8.1 is free. All you have to do is to ensure that all the required updates for your computer is done first. In my opinion, 8.1 is easier to use and I like it better than 8.0. However, an upgrade to 8.1 pro must be purchased and you can only go to pro 8.1 platform after the first passage at 8.1. If you need you can connect to an area of work or school, you will need to get 8.1 pro because you can not do 8.1. I hope this helps!
