  Does anyone have an idea, what the problem? I'm quite like merger so far, more Parallels, but with this question, it is very difficult for me to get work done. I hope it can be resolved.

  I had the same problem since V7 came out.   At one point, from 1 hour to 7 days, all my virtual machines would slow to a crawl.   The only solution was to close all, vmware close and restart.   I spent months to fine-tune different settings.

  I did a few manual tweaks after searching on the net and see some common parameters which have been recommended.   After 4 to 6 weeks, my problem has not reappeared.   I don't know which of these parameters has solved my problem, but you can give them a try.   I don't have an SSD if you may or may not want to use the virtualSSD parameter according to your configuration.

  The settings that I have added are:

  mainMem.backing = 'swap '.

  scsi0:0.virtualSSD = 1

  MemTrimRate = '0 '.

  sched.mem.pshare.Enable = "FALSE".

  MemAllowAutoScaleDown = "FALSE".

  As usual, save your vm and use at your own risk.  They have worked very well for me so far, but each installation is different.

  I upgraded the OS on my laptop dv-7-7240 HP Envy today from 8 to 8.1 Windows (64-bit), which included 11 Explorer. He went pretty much as expected and everything worked fine except my speed of web slowed to a crawl.    I have disabled all add-ons and reset the Explorer, but that did not help.  Note: I was living slow internet (I'm on cable, by the way) and some other questions that I could not resolved, the main reason I upgraded to 8.1.   Yes, the problem started then on Windows 8 and continued after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. However, I have since solved the problem, but I'm a little embarrassed to tell how.  After going around the world to try to solve this problem, the solution was right in front of me all the time... the stupid cable modem.  Finally, I noticed that the light on my modem (which is quite old, by the way), were flashes more quickly than they normally.  A call to technical support to my cable company confirmed that I probably have a defective modem. So, I installed a modem new, thinner, and now I am again crusing the net like a champ. The lesson: If your modem is more than five years, beware; they do not last forever. Lesson learned!

  OK, so the only way I could solve the problem was to find the driver for windows 7 and install it instead of one that comes with windows 8. Windows 8, should not have been designed for my Hp. After doing that my internet was again up to 33 MB a s I hope this will help all of you others out there with this problem.   Despite these recommendations, some routers will work better with the latest Mac models if you turn the radio 2.4 GHz mode in settings and only use the 5 GHz. Note, however, that very old devices Apple and some third-party devices can then not connect at all.

  Windows Update problem (new)

  The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

  I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

  NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

  1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
  2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1

  Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom.

  Alternatively, you can try to reset the App Store first, since it won't load at all. Please follow these steps:

  (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

  (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes. Try to restore as New first and test it. If ok try to restore the backup (the backup may be corrupted).
