  "URL Bar Search" which is an extension? Or are you referring to the address bar, sometimes called the address bar?

  Let's try a few basic trounleshooting.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  Updated several projects of RH9 to RH11

  Release of WebHelp Pro

  RoboHelp Server 9

  Search no longer works for the upgraded RH11 projects.  Regardless of the topic or keyword entered, the results are zero.

  Research works on RH9 projects.

  I looked in the forums for similar situations, I have found none for RH11.  Some solutions for RH10 told to check the included whfts all the packets of xml file and because of the release of RH11.  Others had to do with WebHelp settings, but could not find anything specific to WebHelp Pro.

  Any ideas?

  Received the link of Support Adobe today - the site has the customer RH11 patch both the RH9 Server patch.

  Thanks for the additional information. If you were able to locate the HPScan.exe try running it. It should be a direct link to the scanning software. Let me know if it helps to complete a scan.

• Windows Explorer / file problem

  Hi all
  
  I had a problem whereby R/H did not find my .html files after reinstalling. I finally solved this by completely rebuilding my laptop form zero, and then reloading of Robohelp.
  
  Now, I find that when I try to enter my files source Windows Explorer crashes (urgghh!) when you click on the folder. There is no error message to report it just falls.
  
  Note: I can get the source folder / files in Robohelp "open an existing project" point above impact on integration of Windows Explorer and the image (CTRL-G)
  
  By the way why do we constantly with these / similar questions every time we re - install R/H and why is a troubleshooting guide does not come with the installation? Terribly frustrating in our advanced technically do not age to be able to insert and install disk roll your sleeves to the top and continue using your new toy. (o)

  Whatever it is now resolved, resolution? I wiped and rebuilt my laptop from scratch and am currently slowly but surely load my tools on. R/H currently behaves itself.

• Full text search no longer works

  Suddenly I lost the full text search in compiled HTML Help files. That's where as recently as a week or two ago, but suddenly, it does not work. I can enter a search term, but when I click on "List of topics", I get a message 'not found news. ' I made sure the search words are not in the stop-list, but are in the topics.
  
  Recently, the only change I made was to install Windows XP SP3.

• Why isn't the RT addon is no longer works from a Firefox update?

  Can someone explain how to fix an Addon RT outage once updated to Firefox?

  The failure continues even after uninstalling the Addon of RT.
  Then reboot and then reinstalling the Addon of RT.

  The RT Addon worked perfectly until Firefox did an upgrade!

• Since release 5.0 with Twitter Search, I can't print web pages. Big problem! How to fix?

  I have need to print Web pages very frequently for my business and can no longer preview before printing, or what method I use (drop-down menu, click right, etc..). Can't print a page that has an icon of the printer on it. Extremely frustrating and I'm ready to come back, God forbid, Internet Explorer. So things like adding of modules is Greek to me I am not a grumpy! I'd be happy to go back to a previous version of Firefox that worked if I knew how.

  Can you try disabling the extension "HP Smart Web Printing"?

  On the left, click Extensions. There should be a button to disable for the HP Smart Web Printing.

  After restarting Firefox, print works? (Fingers crossed!)

  I have Firefox used for centuries and do not understand what has happened. No search no longer works. No research on the address bar or the search box (right side). No search plugin work. If I call a search engine Homepage, as typing google.com in the address field, the engine of Google appears, but when I try to look for, it always goes without any reaction. The same thing with any other search engine. Search normally works on IE.

• Google search links stopped working

  What is hell? Today, I noticed that the links provided by Google search no longer work. If I click on a link suggested by google search, nothing happens! The same screen is presented. I tested it with Firefox 10 and Firefox 6. Same result. Only the previews of google are available, but the actual source links are not clickable.

  I also tried the same exact search with IE, and I'm sad to say that the problem is not with Google.

  Disable Adblock did not change this anomaly.

  Not sure, but this seems to happen and shuts off when cookies are blocked. It might be that this change was not completely turned upside down in my area. This Add-on seems to help at the moment and also with cookies off.
