  No available Windows XP drivers are the Qosmio X 300-11. I searched on the Toshiba driver download site but I t didn't find anything.

  But you can search on other sites to get Windows XP drivers. Here are some examples:

  I put t know when comes out the P8900 but. You can upgrade the processor, but it will be not supported by Toshiba.

  I am trying to install Windows XP Home edition on my old days by Satellite A200-1AX. Today, I tried to boot from the CD of Windows XP Home edition or after the copy of the system files, the laptop produces the error that Setup did not find any hard disk during the Installation of Windows XP. It is not necessary to install the drivers for all the A200-1AX since the first installation of XP, I can always go back and install those remaining of the XP; but I don't want the installation process interrupted due to a missing driver where I have to repeat the process of manufacturing more install of WXP CD custom. The list of drivers and devices provided by Toshiba is too long to write on a single installation with XP CD.

  My second question is: there is an update of the bios/firmware required in accordance with the instruction list. Is it necessary BEFORE or AFTER the installation of Windows XP Home edition?

  If I decide to go back to VISTA using the recovery CD, I must restore the bios/firmware?

  You will need to include only the Intel Matrix Storage Manger for the XP CD again. Without this iMSM XP will not see the HARD drive
  This driver is important. Other drivers can be installed after the installation of XP!

  There are 2 versions of BIOS; One for Vista and one for XP. Generally, the update of the BIOS must be made before the instillation of OS but you can also try to do after installing XP. In both cases, the update of the BIOS would be possible.

  Generally, Yes! Without the good BIOS features like the FN buttons could not work properly!

  The Windows XP 64-bit drivers don't exist and I doubt that they will be available in the future. The point is that the XP 64 bit is not so popular as Win XP32bit and more 3rd party apps don't work on this OS.
  Now the Vista is future or until that Windows 7 will be available: D and I think that you will get only the drivers 64 bit Vista for this unit.

  Maybe you can collect some drivers 64 bit of Win XP to the unique address of any websites 3rd part.
  This is your last chance.

  New laptops are available without disk recovery, but with the option of HARD drive recovery. How to install the OS by using HARD drive recovery option, you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

  View the name of the card wireless device manager. If you have already installed Windows 7 look for a network without driver controller. Right click and select Properties, go to the Details tab and use the drop-down list selector to choose the hardware ID. Post half less string - above it.

  You might try Windows 7 32 bit, some old software work on the 32 bit, which does not work on the 64-bit especially if you run it in compatibility mode.

  Dell has a full set of Windows 7 32 bit drivers for this model but don't list them. I have listed the here.

  Usually all SATA drivers should be included in the Microsoft XP operating system and so it should not be necessary to use the SATA drivers.

  But if you will not be able to install XP on your laptop, I recommend first, including Service Pack 2 for the XP CD.

  Just FYI; the RAID, SATA drivers can be downloaded from the Intel page. Just search if you need!

  On http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp European download page under archive option you will find Tecra A6 with PTA61E part number. That is the European model, but I believe similar or perhaps even that the Australian model then you can try to download the drivers from there.
