Win Anytime Upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate Home Prem key and it does not add text prediction in on-screen keyboard

I used my Windows 7 Ultimate on Windows Anytime Upgrade key on my Home Premium and it does not add text prediction in on-screen keyboard... Can I fix?

I haven't seen someone else pointing out this problem and have no knowledge of the topic other than the behavior I saw on my own system.

That being said, Windows 7 help & how-to text prediction is available in all editions of Windows except Windows 7 Home Basic Edition [English, French, Italian, German, Spanish] 7.

  • Shyould I use anytime upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate, or buy a separate Windows 7 Ultimate product key?

Hi, I am in the same situation.

I just bought a preinstalled HP Win 7 Pro system and have now discovered that I need Win 7 Ultimate to create a disc hard virtual bootable from it.

I am trying to decide if I should do the Express upgrade to Ultimate or if I have to buy a separate license for ultimate Win 7. I don't want to waste money on the upgrade first then I should still buy the license full. I guess it's the case that j. Miner is.

J.Miner, you said that you already updated your Windows 7 Pro to ultimate before to a virtual hard disk from him. I don't suppose you aready active Win 7 Ultimate host after that upgrade, or upgrade process should do.

This means that when you perform the VHD, activation is removed.

Also how did the virtual hard disk. Have you used sysprep, imagex or disk2vhd. Things I've read, it seems that both sysprep and imagex will remove some information to generalize the boot image is not the case of disk2vhd.

Please let me know how you have progressed with this exploration, so I can do the same thing if you got him.

Windows 7 is no longer available via Windows Anytime Upgrade, you will need to either buy a full version or upgrade version Windows 7 Ultimate license and use the product key with the Express upgrade.

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

    Version upgrade-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade

If the license for Windows 7 Ultimate, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 Ultimate. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Ultimate edition at the request, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate files the stored settings and programs.

  • If I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate Home I own two product keys?

My desktop came with Windows 7 Home edition. I later updated to Windows 7 Ultimate directly from the Windows itself (via an online purchase). So my question is, I own two product keys: one for home and one for the ultimate, or is it the same key? And if I have two, can I install Home edition on my another desktop?

No, if you used an upgrade version, you don't have that one license,
two. This is the result of using an upgrade rather than a full version
version and this is the reason why a version upgrade is cheaper
    that a full version.

  • After the upgrade to Windows 8, "Life of Kanvus 106 graphics tablet" does not work in Windows 8.

Original title: Life Kanvus 106 Graphics Tablet & Windows 8

My Tablet worked fine on two screens under Windows 7 64-bit and upgrade to Windows 8 showed not as incompatible on the implementation of control.

The manufacturer (Kanvus) says he didn't intend to write Windows 8 drivers for this product.

Just wondering if there was a solution to this...

    Thank you

I just the Kanvus artist 127 and I had the same problem.

After a bit of diagnostics and Googling a bit, I managed to solve the problem by installing the drivers of Genius.
    • In Device Manager, view by connection and find the USB device.
    • Right click and select Properties
    • Under details, select hardware ID from the dropdown property.
    • Look for the first part of the ID (right click and copy). Mine is USB\VID_172F & PID_0500
    • You should find a device that matches.
    • I found most of the devices Kanvus is also obtained by genius.
    • You can try to go directly to http://www.geniusnet.com/wSite/lp?ctNode=174&CtUnit=156&BaseDSD=10&mp=1 and look around. The devices look pretty similar, just different colors.
    • Most of the devices have drivers Windows 8 produced by genius and they work wonderfully for me. All features are supported, as well as a few that Kanvus didn't.

My unit is the equivalent of G - Pen M712X. The device ID's match so that the drivers install without any problems.

Don't forget to uninstall the existing drivers. I would suggest disconnect your Tablet once drivers are uninstalled and viewing devices hidden in Device Manager, and then deleting the remains.
Once you're done, install the drivers of genius as usual by installing everything first and then connect the tablet.
If all goes well, you should be running.
The drivers work fine for everything I tried so far, including Photoshop and GIMP.

    Hi Anna1298,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1:

Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can put your system to boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 provided in the above article.

Method 2: Try the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 3: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

Let us know if that helps.

Hi, I am a student and I bought the download of Vista Ultimate to fly from a link provided to the school of m6mobile.fr, I was able to download the three files, but there is a problem with the installation. The program starts to take care of the installation, and then gives me an error message that says that it is impossible to install.

First of all, it is a legitimate copy of digital river was purchased with the appropriate files. However, the files are somehow unable to open properly and install. I have a fairly new laptop np700g7c from Samsung that came with OEM Win 7 Home Premium.  I discovered that too late that this version of Win 7 does not allow backup to NAS - just will not see my SIN.  Apparently this only possible with Win 7 Ultimate (I got on my last computer so no problem) or professional.

Clicked to level and product key is automatically applied.  Soon, she returned this upgrade has failed.  Suggested try again.  When I tried again my product key was not recognized, so installation would not start.

  • Impossible to upgrade to windows vista ultimate from vista home Basic using the upgrade disc

I bought a disc "to upgrade use only" Windows Vista Ultimate at my University and tried to upgrade my current version of Windows (Vista Home Basic).

At the stage where I had to select the 'Upgrade' or 'Custom' installation option, I noticed that the interface was telling me, 'Upgrade Disabled"with a message that has been along the line"this version of windows is already installed and cannot be upgraded."
I know that the upgrade disc was probably intended for the upgrade from an earlier version of Windows like XP, but I assumed that because Microsoft also sells discs "Anytime Upgrade" to do exactly what I'm trying to accomplish this I would have had no problem.
For any help or suggestion that contact would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    It's all about Service Pack.
We don't know what you have.

If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to swap the disk to upgrade to a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

In this case, your upgrade disk has NO Service Pack installed with it.

Take it back to the University, if you cannot uninstall SP1 operating system.

See you soon... Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner
