Win t Home Basic: windows cannot access \\NameXP

Connection ethernet desktop, Windows 7 Home Basic:
Windows cannot access \\NameXP, Err code 0 x 80070035

Computer NetBook, Windows XP Home Edition, Wireless connection:
\\NameWin7 is not accessible. You are not allowed to use this network resource

Working group name is the same on both computers. Both computers are connected to the wireless router and have Internet access, but cannot see each other. Sharing is turned on, and there are shared folders on both computers.

The problem is on the Netbook computer - I can configure the third computer (Windows XP Professional laptop) to access desktop computers via the wireless.

Hi VojislavJosimovic,

·         Which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

Method 1: Temporarily disable the antivirus on the computer program and check if it helps. If it works, you may need to check the settings of the program.

Note: Check that you activate your anti-virus protection on the computer back after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

Method 2: You can follow this step by step guide and check if it helps.

  • Ent of Windows 7. Apart from 2012 - Windows cannot access \\server\share$

I have a treatment of strange problem with part of 2012 R2.  We have a lab with 30 workstations Windows 7 Enterprise.  They all have the same office via a redirection of folder GPO applied to a share on the server of 2012 R2 mentioned above.  All but 4 of them can connect and pull on the desktop the appropriate shortcuts, network folders, etc.

The share permissions so no denies explicit.  In an effort to solve this problem, I added everyone and authenticated users, with read permissions on top of the appropriate ad group object that already had read permissions and, of course, SYSTEM and with full control Domain Admins.  NTFS permissions have, of course, CREATOR OWNER, SYSTEM and with full control Domain Admins.  Also, the appropriate ad group has read permissions.  No NTFS clear or rejects the request.

Using the same account that belongs to the appropriate group or my domain administrator account (which has no office redirected) I can connect to all the workstations and all, but the four mentioned above get the redirected folder desktop.  When I authenticate my account with DA and try to connect to the share on these four computers I get the same error to the user:

    Network error

    Windows cannot access \\SERVER\Share$

You are not allowed to access \\SERVER\Share$.  Contact your network administrator to request access.

I think we've all seen this error before.  But I only saw him associated with NTFS permission issues or sharing.  Frankly I'm perplexed.  Any ideas on what's going on?

Edited to add: I don't think it's a problem with sharing.  Clearly, it's a matter of workstation since 26 of 30 machines Win 7 can be connected without difficulty.  And I don't think it's a matter of profile either since I've never authenticated on these workstations with my domain account.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Note: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

  • Can I put win 7 Home Basic Edition to professional or ultimate edition?

And how this going to cost?

    @ Boudjemaa Islam

If your operating system is Win 7 Home Basic 64 - bit version, you can pass only for the version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. But if you want to change the 32-bit version, you cannot upgrade to the 32-bit version, it cannot choose 'Customize' to install Win 7 32 - bit version.
    BillyRazOr

Wrong, if you have a license of Windows 7 Edition retail upgrade Home Premium, professional or ultimate, you can use the product key and use Anytime Upgrade in basic home edition upgrade to one of these editions. The only available in India Anytime Upgrade package is however for Home Basic to Home Premium.

But if you want to change the 32-bit version, you cannot upgrade to the 32-bit version may not choose 'Customize' to install Win 7 32 - bit version.

  • Windows cannot access \\BRWCCAF7847ABD4

Hi, I'm new to this forum.  I was surfing around when I noticed under Network on my laptop, my laptop name and this name: \\BRWCCAF7847ABD4.  When I tried to click on it, I got the message: Windows cannot access \\BRWCCAF7847ABD4.  I have no idea how it was created and what it does.  My laptop Info:

Laptop: HP Pavilion notebook PC g7
    OS: Windows 7 Home premium SP1, 64-bit
Browser: Google Chrome Version 26.0.1410.64 m
I think that this is all right, but I didn't do anything in time so I don't know exactly when it took place.  Also, I found this odd listed extra hard disk: disk Local Q: with 0 bytes.  I don't know if the two are related.  I ran a network troubleshooting and basically just gave me the above message.  I don't really know where to go next to find out about them.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you

The Q drive is probably connected to Office 2010 click-to-run feature:

  • Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

    Hello

I recently changed to use AVG free Antivirus Vista 2010 edition and since then (next day) seems to be locked out almost everything on the computer other then IE.  Open any kind of .exe translates into "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You don't have the appropriate permissions to access the item. "I can access the Control Panel, but when I try to run something (a user restore Sys account) nothing happens or I get the same error.  I can not even access/cmd?

Operating system is vista 64 bit home premium
Computer has 1 which is defined as administrator SP1
Tried to do a restore of the system in normal mode and safe, the two will not start.

I have a feeling I know what the problem is, that when you look at the properties > Security "Progam files" in the 5 groupnames user administrator has not enabled in the lower area of permissions?  Guess a virus has locked all accounts to use the machine key files? (When editing and allowing the admin to have full control etc. in written authorization, I get an "access denied" Message.)  Be honest this really problems out of my PC knowledge, I would usually just reformat if I hit I can't solve a problem, but this time reformating is not the best option.

Thanks in advance for any help, I would really appreciate it, it left me speechless!

PS. read through the similar questions and have used the "fix windows' programs, with nothing working or me being not able to access something used.

    Hi Dany88,

First of all, I would say that you uninstall security antivirus vista 2010 of computer software, since there are several questions on the computer after installing. This software may have created conflicts between other programs on the computer.

As you face problems to access items from 'Control panel', I would say you visit the security software vendor's Web site and search a tool of suppression using which you can uninstall the software.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If questions are set after uninstalling security software, I suggest that you change the security antivirus vista to some else software or contact the vendor of the software for more information.

I would also say that you are investigating the computer by using the methods mentioned in the link below.
