Win XP, 7 and 8 legitimate licenses and pay to secure my system turns?

Ive bought a computer with installed Windows 8, which means no DVD, drive hard, crashed at 3 weeks after the end of the warranty, but from the beginning has been unable to make recovery disks as system said "cannot find the partition", having to pay for a DVD of something that I already paid! of the system before I had bought Windows 7 Ultimate but when password XP what is legitimate, but no more updates then vulnerable, when I install MY Windows 7 Desktop win 8 it say that is a mismatch of license in the bios and ask me t PAY for EVEN Windows 7, is just a scandal! 3 licenses, a longer maintained, other two validated but impossible to use, can just paste in *! Est vraiment le viol système, Windows

See you soon!

P.S. no more option with phone number and then impossible to have someone using this company of thief.

The product key is integrated in the BIOS and the fact that it is Windows 8.1 with 1 update is not relevant. (Yes, I know the product key is embedded in the BIOS, I have started using and troubleshooting of Windows 8 two minutes ago.)

The fact is, it should work, unless you have not actually downloaded the corresponding edition that your computer is licensed to:

Core Windows 8.1 with update 1

Windows 8.1 Pro with update 1

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Please note that Windows 7 Release Candidate is a preliminary version of Windows and should not have has been used as a release candidate.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

On my Google Nexus 5, when I access the app ASTRO file manager, I am daily receiving a message advertising the "Mozilla reward Center", offering VIP customers the chance to win an iPad and calling my home for shipping I should win.

    It seems like a scam.

If anyone knows how to block ads in ASTRO file manager, I would appreciate the help, but I suspect that's not possible.

Default password Machine virtual XP Mode

I've set up the virtual machine in win 7 Ultimate and put some data. Now when I try to connect it asks password and does not accept any password. Please giveme the default password

If you're talking about XP Mode the default password is XPMUser.  In general you can not use Windows without a password in Windows Virtual PC that you can with Virtual PC 2007 and before.  XPMUser is used only with the XP Mode virtual machine.  All other virtual machines requires a user created password.  If you have changed the password in XP Mode and forgotten, then you have to start over.

Windows Virtual PC is based on virtual server rather than VPC and all virtual machines need a password.  If necessary, uninstall the integration features, start the virtual machine and create a password for the admin user.  Restart the virtual machine, and then reinstall the integration features.  You will not be able to access a virtual machine created by the user that has no password, while the integration features are installed.  Once you have everything right, that a virtual machine will not be asked a password if you are the admin user in Windows 7.

  • I down loaded WIN 8 RT and I am not convinced how re-install my Windows 7?

I downloaded Win8RT and I want to know if there is a way to remove this O.S. and get my windows 7 as the OS no knows how I have does not perform a backup to disk when I got my PC.

As to my question on "HOW DELETE/ASK (RT 8 back to WINDOWS 7). The forum has been VERY useful for my query pertaing to this question! (TKS guys!) I did different things but as M.S. gave me the instructions/tools to do so. RT is an x 86 platform base and is running a 4.0 framework, I found that the ISO of WIN 7 x 86 down load was necessary and I also had to come in and change the setting for a 3.0 platform. It worked well for me because I haven't run on recommendations 7 disc set parameters. I found (after some searching) don't choose the 'install updates recommended' as I did after install and also ran "CUSTOM" Setup and went from there. The 8RT was 'OK', but after a time, I found it is not a stable OS because I wanted to learn "how" do and apply applications for the WINDOWS 8 Pro platform because I'm sure, is a more stable OS then the RT. I hope that this 'Info' is perhaps useful to those who are trying to re - install the WINDOWS 7 O.S. of the 8RT.  A lot of trials and mistakes were made, and I found it works well for me because I've tried the suggested install from the OLD Win but I found that there are some Win.old 2 and 3 on my Toshiba Lap Top.

Step 1: Burn 7 win x 86 on DVD disc on a low setting. (select homepage, Premium or ultimate edition)

Step 2: Turn off windows Desk Top apps, incert 7 disc and then click 'Auto Run' when the drop down menu appears at the top right.

Step 3: Follow the instructions in 'Inslall Set Up' as shown.

  • If Win XP SP1 is no longer supported, can I reinstall from my system disk and always upgrade to SP3?

My hard drive is filled with thousands of uninstall files and folders while he was trying to upgrade my operating system to SP3. I want to wipe the hard drive and reinstall xp and other software. My system drive is XP SP1. Can I reinstall this version and then go online to upgrade to SP3?

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 5100 with a Pentium 4 processor and 1 GB of RAM (maximum). I don't think that I have the option to upgrade to windows 7.

While Windows XP with SP1/SP1a or SP2 is no longer "supported" - it's just a matter of installing Windows XP patched SP3 to fall in this category 'supported '.

My suggestion - to make things simple - if you install cleanly, simply download and install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP first.  Reboot several times.  Then, download and then install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP.  Reboot several times.  Then start visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and continue to install post-SP3 90 updates +.

  • Setup is blocked by its own tests for Win 7 (64) and get Windows XP (64)

I'm trying to install my HP E609a printer (formerly installed in my Windows XP computer (32)) in my Windows 7 (64). During this installation, the installer has tested operating system for compatibility and found that the operating system is Windows XP (64).

This, of course, is false. But that doesn't matter because the installer stopped in his tracks.

How can I tell him that "it is wrong" and proceed with the installation?

Hi DrRedEyeand welcome to the Forums of HP.
