Help! Windows 7, XP Home Edition Premium, 64 bit, connects to the router and I can access the network. However, I can't access the internet. PC was working fine until a few days when I was using IE Explorer and I suddenly got the error "page not found". This pc internet connection uses the onboard network controller. I rebooted the pc and used the option "safe mode with network. The pc worked fine and I had access to the internet. I restarted the pc and still no access. I tried a usb wireless adapter. No luck. I have not installed updates or software recently. My other 2 PC works fine. I tried to use the network troubleshooter and he could not find any problems.

b. click on tools, then on Internet options.

c. click on the Connections tab.

d. click on LAN settings.

e. uncheck the option use a proxy server for your LAN .

f. save the changes by clicking on apply and ok.

Method 3:

Configure Internet Explorer to disable simplified HTTP error messages and check the status of the issue.

a. on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
 
b. on the Advanced tab, in the browsing section, disable friendly HTTP error messages display check box and then click OK.

c. close Internet Explorer.

d. restart Internet explorer and check the status of the issue.

    You can remove and re-create the wireless network connection, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type ncpa.cpl , and then press on Enter.
    b. right click on your wireless network connection and then click Properties.

    network and then click on remove. e. click on view Wireless networks.
    f. under management of the network, click refresh the network list.

    Hi, the new laptop 3521 with Win7 Pro the WLAN will connect to the selected wireless router but is unable to establish an internet connection.

    WLan Driver 1703 was duly installed once the Chipset driver was installed, as recommended.

    Fortunately, other mobile devices to connect to the same router. Ubuntu on this laptop was also happy to connect to internet on WIFI, only Win7 fails.

    Disabled the Win7 firewall, but no change. This connection, unidentified in the network and sharing Center.   Router SSID etc have been entered correctly. Remove the WLAN profile and not reinstated, no change.

    Tried to connect to another router wireless with the same result. I can only run this laptop on wired connection to the router.

    Thanks for your advice. I deleted the profiles (two identical found!), also removed all entries of all WiFi routers in Win 7 registry. This step has not resolved the problem.

    However, I found the reason for the connection problem and the solution is the following:

    In the wireless connected (TP-Link) router, wireless--> channel settings is set to 'AUTO' (which is to select automatically 20 MHz or 40 MHz).

    In the device driver Dell WLAN 1703 (properties--> advanced--> bandwidth 802.11 n, the value has been set on (ie the Atheros is the default!))  "20 MHz.

    Once I put the option value "20 MHz / 40 MHz Auto", the connection comes to life.

    What a relief!

    I want my wireless printer to work on my macbook, but I can't. I tried setting up on the HP utility to connect with the router as the mac and printer on but it does not work!     Welcome to the Forums of HP, I would be happy to help you! I understand that you have the printer set up on your network, but the software says that the device is not accessible. Sometimes the IPv6 may interfere with the connection, and I suggest we disable that before anything else. On the fornt of the printer Panel, scroll down to and then select Wireless. In the wireless Menu, select Advanced settings, then IPv6 and.

    Now we are going to let the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router), then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

    I have a laptop HP G70 running windows 7, I got a new router installed. My computer to the router, but not to the internet links. I tried the software updates for my drivers running, doing all used to end router for example change etc channel/parameters/IP wifi. I tried to turn off the wireless, reset the router and re enabling it does not work.

    It will connect to the internet ethernet of nis.

    I have a HughesNet HN9000 modem connected to a Linksys WRT120N router. I have two desktop computers, both running XP Home, connected to the router via ethernet .5e cables and work perfectly. I have a laptop running Vista Home Premium, I am trying to connect to the internet via the internal wireless card. According to me, the laptop connects with the wireless router, as it connects but says 'Local only' - it won't let me access the router IP/control panel. I tried to reset the router / modem as well as the parameters of the laptop, but I keep getting the same question.

    If I connect the laptop and the port #3 on the router via a cable .5e I can browse the Internet. But I need to be able to use the laptop throughout the House so electrician is not an option.

    I recently installed a new Comcast wireless gateway, which includes a built-in router.  My Ipod and Ipad work perfectly with this new router connection.  My Dell laptop, however, connects to the router without a problem, but it surfing the internet very slowly and sometimes can't access it at all.  The router connection remains strong during these periods of power failure, however.  I don't get online no problem when I connect directly to the router/modem with an Ethernet cable.  Network troubleshooting does not detect a problem, I have released/updated my IP address, and made sure I had updated drivers.  The issue still [persists.  Any input on what to try next?

    If you do not have McAfee then Windows update than kb2705219 can also be a cause as the uninstall that appeared to solve the problem for some users [but I'm not particularly convinced by this]. To uninstall an update - control panel, programs & features, [left side of the window] see installed updates. Wait until the system has finished the research for the list of updates. Select update required, then right click and Uninstall.

    I got this printer (HP4500 G510n-z) for 3 years. This worked without any problem until I changed my router and installed a nas on the LAN Server.

    Now the printer is connected via WIFI to router and is perfectly installed on computers connected to the router. But it does not work. I used HP Print-Scan doctor and he finds the device, but it was not connected. I tried to connect to the printer IP of all computers, but I have not received any response (using ping, it doesn't have 75% of the package).   • Samsung S6 connects to the router but no internet

    When I switched to xfinity I bought a C6300. I had problems with the first not allowing my NAS to connect so I exchanged against another. My phone would connect to the router and work fine for awhile then lose Internet connectivity. The only way to get it back is to reboot the router. I tried several different units, and I am now on a C3700. The problem still exists and seems to be deteriorating. All of the suggestions.

    I solved my problem by replacing the Netgear with a Zoom. It was the only one that I could find who said it would work with Android. I hope that Netgear will get things straightened.

    My media WUMC710 connector on my router Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 double band on the first try.  Can see the MAC address in the connected devices list when you are connected to the router.  However, the devices connected to the WUMC710 cannot connect to the internet.  Tried TV, Blue-Ray and laptop.  All other devices on the wireless network properly.
