  Apple Genius Bar helped me get my files migrated from my Time Machine backup to this iMac.

  The Mac seems to work OK, but I noticed that two files that begin with a point. DS_Store and .localized, who are supposed to be invisible, appear on the desktop and in every Finder window.

  When I booted the Mac after having back to the Genius Bar, I have noticed that auto Terminal launched. If someone at the Genius Bar must have used Terminal to temporarily activate the invisible files for troubleshooting purposes.

  (a) press the Windows key + R.

  (b) type the name of the other computer in the open: box in this format:

  (c) press on enter

  Since the upgrade to Capitan when I put an SD card it presents in the finder but not desktop. All data and it reads and writes, but I don't know its there except if I go to the finder/devices.

  Have you checked menu Finder > Preferences > General > show these items on the desktop?

I encountered this problem on several computers: a PC with XP, one with Windows 7 and Mac so I know for some there is a firefox problem. Somehow the passwords and user names remain stored even if previously deleted. I want to sell my PC but I can not because of security risks. Of course, the problem could be solved by formatting the HARD drive and reinstall the OS, but I want to know how to solve the problem without doing. I've tried everything and still they stay... Please help me... and I want to know if anyone else has this problem. Thank you!

  If the names and passwords still show in the password manager so that they are not deleted.

  Unfortunately, this model laptop has a Broadcom bluetooth device or a device of Atheros.

  Try to install the Atheros driver first because it is more common.  If it isn't an Atheros card, Setup HP rejects the update indicating no match of material.

  If this isn't Atheros, install the Broadcom bluetooth driver.

  Mozilla help site instructions often start by locating the Thunderbird profile files. I see these from within Tbird and with a Terminal command, but not with the Finder. Why not? I think I have the message index corruption, but I can't delete the file index as directed.

  Rather than delete the msf to index, you can rebuild them by right-clicking on a folder in the folder Repair, TB, properties.

• How can I make use of TC partitions and make sure that the file analysis is on the right partition?  I do not see the partitions that I have done in the Finder, but I can drag and drop the files in the folder 'Data' unique under Finder/Shared/TC.

  Final objective: use Time Capsule as a Time Machine for my MacBook Air and as a storage solution for large files that I don't want permanently on my MacBook Air.

  So far, I've implemented the TC and set up Time Machine on the TC.  I was able to create 2 partitions on the TC using disk utility then that TM was a backup and the disk was recognizable in disk utility.

  Under Finder/shared, I see the TimeCapsule 'airport', and when I click on it it is a file called "Data".  I was expecting to see my two partitions here.  Under 'Features' is a ' Zissou31 MacBook Air (3)"sparsebundle file and I can also create folders here and drag and drop files on the TC here.  I can see the partitions in disk utility, but how do I see/use the partitions I created in the Finder?

  I fear that this may not be set up correctly and I'm either losing on an entire partition I created or these files dragged/dropped may be at risk of overwriting of TimeMachine.  How can I make sure that the file analysis is on the appropriate partition?

  I disabled TimeMachine and go back to see if I could 'point' to one of the partitions, but the "Data" folder is the only thing that TimeMachine seen.  How do I point time Machine for one of the partitions?

  In addition, in disk utility, I can see one of the partitions TC is related to the time Machine, indicated by the icon Time Machine green bottom left, but two partitions seem to fall under "Zissou31 of the MacBook Air (3) .sparsebundle.

• USB drive will not appear in the finder, but is OK in disk utility

  My "music backup" external USB 1 TB SSD showed in the Finder, until a few days ago, when he disappeared. I tried dismantling and Assembly of the command line. The said command-line editing is successful, but I still don't see the drive in Finder.

  If I go into disk utility "First aid" reports no problem. The drive is formatted for OS X.  If I right click and say "Open in the Finder" I can see all the folders and even drag in the sidebar where they work, even after a reboot. I can't see the drive at a higher level.

  How can I fix it? I guess a solution would be to create a folder called "Music disc" and then move all files on the disc in it and then put it on the sidebar, but it seems silly. How can I get my hard drive appears again in the finder.

  PS Si I use a third-party file manager, such as ordering a PRO, the USB drive is available for selection in the drop-down list of disks attached.

  The Finder, choose utilities go to menu, open the Script Editor and run:

  I have a brand new Airport Express that I currently use as an Extender for our old time Capsule. I would like to share a USB between computers. The Aiport utility see the drive.

  

  

  However, the Finder does not show the drive.

  Finder are not displayed at the start of the drive, but it should display the AirPort Extreme under the Shared heading in the left side of the Finder window.

  In the example below, my AirPort Extreme (called AEBS) has a drive named 500 GB drive connected to the USB port at the back of the unit.

  On Photos for Mac application, you can only reveal files of origin in the Finder, if the photos has been imported as a referenced photo, not when it is stored in the library.  It was different in iPhoto, but never possible in Photos to reveal the files managed by pictures.

  A photo will be imported as a reference, if you turn off the preference ' Photos > preferences > General: import: Cop of elements to the photo library.

  It is a problem under investigation. The workaround is to set 'types of files displayed' on Adobe title Designer (as titles are not seen with the default setting of all supported files)

• PNG file visible Outside the Boundaries of my banner

  I exported my animated Flash banner swf file, and my one of my images (PNF file I imported in my library and medicines for my internship) is bigger than the stage space.  When I develop the Flash Player in my swf file window, I can't see the border of my banner, but the rest of my image is visible outside the banner area.

  Imagine that only the tip of the iceberg, that's what I want in my banner, but the WHOLE iceberg is visale beyond the size of my scene... it's the best way I can explain it.

  Is this something to do with PNG files in Flash?  I am new to the design of banners in this way.  How can I fix around this image, so that everything is within the limits of my banner?

  If you embed the file in an html page, whatever it is out of the scene does not appear.  Otherwise, it is normal for these content off limits to display if your area of the window is larger than the swf file.
