WIN8 to Setup Win 7 64 bit

I have recently downgraded to Windows 8 64-bit for Windows 7 64-bit.  I didn't like any of Windows 8 and had problems with what I needed the laptop to do.  I could format the hard drive and install Windows 7 without any problem, however, now I need help with the network card, sound, video, webcam, and CD/DVD-RW.  I looked at the driver for model page, but can't find anything that would work.  It is a chipset Intel 2.40.

Thanks for any help.

  • Win8 32-bit upgrade for win 8 64 bit

  • Problems with downgrade to 8.1 Win to Win 7 64 bit on Satellite S70 - A - 11 H

    Hello

My daughter already has a laptop Tosh with Win 7 64 bit that is several years old and has seen better days, so for Christmas I he bought a new laptop of S70 - A - 11 am with Win 8.1 pre-installed.
She hates. In fact she won't use the new laptop at all unless it has Win 7 on it.

For people who do not use a tablet or phone Windows phone and as desktop printing Windows 8 machine does not work for us.

Now I am working in a niche THIS role using many OS such as Microsoft Windows (XP, Win7, Server 2003, Server 2008) and Solaris, as well as a bit of RedHat.

Now, my experience of Win8 is equal to zero.
I thought it would be simple enough to install a copy at retail of Win7 with SP1 64 bit on this laptop.
Not so easy as it turns.

When I boot from the Windows 7 install DVD, the installer crashes as the Windows 7 logo begins to appear on the screen. If I try an installation with the latest driver safe mode which seems to load whenever the lock up is disk.sys.

So the question is how to install Win 7 64 bit SP1 on this notebook using a copy of Win7 retail?

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    > If anyone else is interested the issue is caused by the use of left GPT on version 8.1.

Thank you very much for us to share this detail.
This could be very useful and interesting for others here in this community.

    Thanks again for your comments!

  • Satellite L750D - update in Win 7 32 bit for win 10 64 bit

    The installation was successful?

Well win 10 came and I changed a few things in the start when the laptop computer just restarted.

Windows 10 tried to solve the problem and said that it was impossible.
I tried various recovery options that are offered by Windows 10, but all have failed to solve the problem.
It seems to be a screen driver problem.

The laptop was initially under Windows 7 32-bit before the upgrade, so so, the pilots would have been 32-bit.
I have Windows summise 10 is now only 64-bit.

See attached picture to screen before it fails.
Screen splach windows at the start of the 4 blue pane window is correct, it's just, then the windows logon id screen supposed to show that you get the example attached.

You perform an upgrade or a new installation?

As much as I know it should not possible to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to win 10 64 bit... you need the 64-bit version to get win 10 64-bit.

In case you have made a 'upgrade', you could try to turn the clock back 10 Windows to an earlier version of Windows:
    Settings > update & security > recovery.

If the options to go back and restore the factory settings are not available, you can use Setup Toshiba recovery media to install an earlier version of Windows

  • EliteBook 750 G2: Install Win 7 64-bit DVD?

OK, this is crazy, but... How to install Win 7 64 bit from the HP operating system disk? My EliteBook is not a built-in DVD player and I can't boot from my USB DVD drive in the computer. When I go into the boot with the DVD drive plugged menu, the only startup options are 'hard drive' and 'ethernet '.

There is a setup.exe file on the disk that gives me an error when I double click on it.

I have to enter the BIOS and change something?

Is there another way to install the OS?

    Thank you very much!

    -J.D. Walker

    Hello:

There are a couple of BIOS settings, you will need to change in order to install and run W7.

There are also some difficulties starting from USB3 ports.

In the BIOS, you will have to enable the legacy mode and disable secure boot (legacy mode activation can disable secure boot), in order to install and run W7.

For USB3 ports, see if there is a BIOS setting to have USB3 ports emulate usb ports 2 (or an Auto setting).

If there is not, unfortunately, I don't know what the problem is about why you cannot start USB ports.

  • System crashes, requires the difficult start run World Of Warcraft Win 7 64 bit

    * Edited for completion 10/29/09
When I run World of Warcraft, my system will lock up and require a difficult start. Sometimes this will happen after only a few minutes, sometimes it will take 1 to 2 hours, but it will always be the case.

That's what I've done so far:

I have a clean install of Win 7 64 bit, I have a new installation of the software of the game (World of Warcraft), I have a problem after a clean boot, I have all the latest drivers, tried older drivers, used a driver Sweeper and installed the latest drivers... in short, I did everything what I can do , and I did a lot of research to try to find a solution. * I also tried different compatibility modes, ran the program as an administrator, and ran the program in windowed mode, as well as various combitation of preceding.

    Tracejen,
I am also under Windows 7 64-bit and WoW.  I've not seen any problems with him myself.  Have you had this problem in any other place, or is it just for WoW?  You run the game to what resolution\level of detail?  Are the vents on your own PC and fans are you running properly?

This is so a few things to try.
If you only see this in WoW, you play other games?  If you do not really play anything else (except perhaps lonely like me) then go download a demo of a graphics intense game.  Something like Crysis or Batman Arkham Asylum (just a few suggestions), just try something that will be your tax system.  Then run this demo for a while and see what happens.  If it crashes with another game then I suggest that consider you the possibility of your system overheating.  If it crashes with another game, then remove the computer cover and blow a fan at home if possible.

If the lock upwards continues to happen only in WoW then you need to check with their support to see if they are aware of this situation.

  • Questions KB and mouse wireless Microsoft with Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

There could be other messages like mine, but I find it here, with exactly the same problem.

I have a problem with my new Setup: Windows 7 64 bit and a Microsft Wireless Keyboard 6000 v3 and MS Wireless Mouse 6000 v2 (he came as a set).

Now it works perfectly with my Windows XP system. I have now on a new computer, Win 7 64 bit. The mouse and the keyboard are now 'Skip', where they seem to ignore the entry for a second or two from time to time. As a first step, I let Windows 7 load its own drivers for these. After the mouse wheel input strange (no scroll bar on an active window would scroll to the bottom with no way to stop it) I downloaded the Intellipoint for the KB and mouse drivers and disabled the intellipoint Control Panel scroll wheel.

I have changed the batteries, moved the receiver to different USB ports, but nothing helped. I have antivirus running. Wi - Fi KB and mouse works fine on this same machine, in the same USB ports.

    I would appreciate any input.

    Thank you

    Gamma

    Ray French

    Hi gamma,

    Thank you for your message.

What is your make and model of computer?

What are the sounds like interference might be the issue.

Other wireless devices and certain appliances can interfere with wireless KB/mouse.

Is there a wireless router near the receiver for the KB/mouse? This also will cause a microwave oven.

Even if the mouse is located in front of a computer and the receiver is at the back of the computer.
interference of the metal casing of the PC can connect properly.

In order to better clarify, if you move the mouse backward through the office (left to right continuously for a minute) is the stop of pointer or freeze at any time?

If so, I suggest to perform a clean boot to see if a startup program may conflict with the resources of mouse/KB:

  • kdbsync.exe has stopped working - win 7 64 bit

I am running Win 7 64 bit on an HP Pafilion HPE h8 - 1360t.  After last week round of updates my computer can't play mp4 files, the Media Center will come is no longer (Message: "Windows Media Player has stopped working"), You Tube files will no longer play, the Web of magic HP also would not come to the top, and the mysterious "kdbsync.exe has stopped working" message when I reboot.

After hours of reading the forums, I found that it seems to be related to the AMD graphics card update.  My computer has an AMD Radeon HD card 7570.

On the AMD website it is listed as a legacy for XP computers adapter.  I don't know why HP installed in a computer running Windows 7 64 bit with an Intel Core I7 CPU.  It does give me confidence in HP equipment.

The AMD utility correctly detected my card and told me that I needed a driver called:

    14-4-Win7-WIN8.1-64-DD-CCC-WHQL.exe

But when I clicked the Down load button, I received the message, "could not conntect to the server.  Could not parse error. »

I have not found such a driver on your Web site.

How can I get my Media Center works again?

The idea of turning off all non-Microsoft services, scares me to death that I now have my computer how I want it.

I've also posted on the forums of AMD that I concluded that their Board of Directors has been offending material element:

http://forums.AMD.com/game/messageview.cfm?CATID=454&ThreadId=173935&forumid=11 you can read my response to the agent who helped me.

Basically, I had to uninstall all the drivers AMD and sotware using functions of control panel of configuration/programs & and then run the clean uninstall AMD program: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

Then install the drivers from here:

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/desktop?OS=Windows+7+-+64#AMD-catalyst-packages

I do not recommend installing this set of drivers unless you are SURE that they are correct for your hardware.  I could not use steps 1-5 on the AMD site because the last necessary step you choose the operating system that your equipment is running.  The HP installed in my computer 'last and best' video card a year ago was so old that the operating system that is only offered to step 5 have been XP and Vista!  Be aware that HP uses inherited in its latest PC hardware.

Have you tried right-clicking on the program.exe Setup and selecting "Run As Administrator" option?

Have you tried to clean your Temp folder, you can do this by typing folder in the Start Menu RUN box.  This will open your Temp folder, there, you can remove all Windows will allow you to do.

  • Problem installing WIN 7 64 bit on a Vostro V131 with SSD

    Hello everyone,

I just got my new Vostro V 131 with i5 2430 M, 4 GB RAM, HD3000 graphics and standard 500 GB HARD drive!

I already had a new OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB SSD and wanted to change it against the bed on the HARD drive.

I put a boot Win 7 64 bit with SP1 on a USB key and started the system. I am able to choose my language setting and then click the button "Start installation". And this is the mess: Setup starts, then then tells me I need to install other drivers. I can't choose anything else but a reader where these drivers. So I downloaded the SATA (AHCI) support drivers for my controller from DELL. They are recodnized by the system as drivers and checked, but I just go back to the window that says Add. the drivers are needed. The SSD is recognized in BIOS and SATA set to AHCI. I was able to format and part with the victory included tools/recovery Partition.

OK, I checked for allmost everything, which could cause such problems. SSD firmeware is updated, set BIOS to update (as mentioned, SSDS is shown correctly). I put the SSD drive on an external HARD drive enclosure, and it has been shown in Windows as a normal USB storage device.

Everything I checked was correct, the SSD is identified and shown correct instead of the Win7 installation menu.

I am at the end of my ideas and hope that one of you can help out me!

    Thank you so far...

    Flo

I discovered what caused all this trouble ;-)

It was the USB port used! I don't know why, but the USB 3 port starts the installation and then want additional drivers! I swapped the USB 2 port and everything worked fine. ;-)

But thanks for the answer! Also, I don't have a DVD player ;-) If this would not have worked.

  • Legal upgrade (and activate) for Win7 64-bit Windows XP 32-bit WITHOUT overwriting current (replacing) Win XP 32-bit install?

I use version OEM Windows XP HOME 32 bits on a Gateway desktop computer - with no problems.  However, the hard drive is to reach the end of its planned life expectancy, and approaching the period of support for XP.

To solve the problem, I installed a new (small capacity) hard drive, with the intention to install Win 7 Pro (64 bit) on the new drive.  I read and reread ALL instructions on different help pages (for installation) (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/)... and avoided all of the common problems.

Currently I have the old (Win XP) and the new hard drive physically assigned to DH0 DH1 - as a CUSTOM, run Setup. -leaving me with a choice of dual-boot to initialize the top between "Earlier version of Windows" (on DH1) and Windows 7 (on DH0).  They both starts without any problem.

HOWEVER - during inspection, I see that the folder "OLD Windows" on Windows 7 drive in a VACUUM.  This indicates that installation of Windows 7 does not recognize the existence of my current installation of Windows XP on the other hard drive?  Upon activation, I get the dreaded
    "Windows 7 activation error: 0xC004F061.
because "a previous version of Windows wasn't on your computer when Windows 7 was installed. To install an upgrade version of Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP must be installed on your computer. "

The new Windows 7 must be installed on the same drive as the old Windows XP  In order to activate the 'upgrade '?

I have no problem with the drudgery of migrating my data and install applications from one drive to another with an empty directory "OLD Windows" - as long as both car are mounted.  My only question is to know if the 'new' Win 7 64 - bit OS SHOULD replace the old XP 32-bit operating system in order to Activate the newly installed operating system Win 7 64 bit.

Is there an 'Official' Microsoft document that answers this question?

    Thank you
    John Jr

Perhaps we should see what we all like to talk...

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.

Please also state the Version and edition of Windows cited on your COA sticker (if you a) in the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but does NOT quote the key on the sticker!
