Window is too big for the screen, do not set by f11 or alt/space

When enlarged, the view is too big to get the edges to move smaller. When I try to drag the top bar, it jumps to the small view rather than allowing me to reposition the window. The reduced view is only about 2 x 4 inches. Of course, I can make this larger point of view, but then I lose the choice of two sizes.

There is no problem with changing the size of the fonts, etc, just the size of the main view. The problem is that in Firefox, not other programs.

I tried the Firefox reset procedure, but that didn't help either.

Oh, wait. You cannot resize a window enlarged, so that it runs from edge to edge without the sizing handles is normal Windows. You need only the above procedure, if the window is so large that it blocks the taskbar or the monitor runs away.

  • Acer Aspire One D257-13450 fixed size window too big for the screen

I have an Acer Aspire One D257-13450 running Windows 7 Starter Edition, and when I open some windows (e.g. Brother MFC 990CW control of scanning parameters), the window is too large to be completely displayed on the screen. The bottom of the window is hidden under the bottom edge of the physical screen.  The window can me moved around the screen as usual but I can't move it to the top of the screen enough to see the bottom of the window - this is where the selection of options for this window buttons. This particular window has only a close button in the upper right and not the usual buttons Minimse or restore down. I have connected a monitor external and also adjusted the screen resolution and nothing doesn't affect the ability to resize the window and get off at the buttons of options I need. I was able to guess the buttons under the edge of the screen by using the tab key to tab through all the options in this window, but it is not very satisfactory. Any suggestions please?

Many netbooks with Starter have only a 1024 x 600 screen - if the program needs a minimum of 1024 x 768 it may not work or may not display all. But it wouldn't be because of the netbook, Windows.

You can try this modification to allow higher resolutions:

  • 5701na stream 7: too big for the screen Windows

    Hello

I have a problem with the size of windows on my screen. Quite often and especially when I face problems of system such as updates, the windows are larger than the screen. There seems to be no option to resize manually or to tell them to fill the screen and just.

This means that, for example, the OK button is the bottom of the screen, with no way to resize the window or scroll down (sometimes it is not broad enough on the bottom, but by hiding under the Dock down, so try to hit the OK start something else)

I tried to work around using the keyboard equivalent (tabs etc.) but I often stuck into problems almost Terminal.

    All the ideas!

    Hey @JustinWorsley,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are having problems with sizes of application being too large in Windows 10 window.

Your tablet screen resolution meets the minimum requirements for Windows 10. Make sure that the resolution is set to 1280 x 800. If it is not already in 1280 x 800, try changing that first and let me know if it helps. If this is the case, you may need to reinstall the drivers GPU.

    Thank you.

  • Option window too big for the screen

When I click main, then right on my images and go to interpret the options pop up and I want to get more options which is at the bottom. Unfortunately, the option windows passes in front of my screen (it snaps into place at the top of my screen) and I don't know how to resize and when I drag it up to get to the bottom, it will not pass in front of my screen so I can get the background options.

Well, it is useful to meet the requirements of the system... There is a reason why the minimum resolution of 1280 x 900. Nothing you can do.

    Hello

Everything on my computer screen seems too big. From the icons, texts, programs like chrome (pages are inside the window more). I do not change the display settings recently, and I did the updates. It happened suddenly, out of the blue.

I tried to change the resolution, but it lists only two possible resolutions, 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600. Even when I change, it make no impact.

    What should I do?

Use a monitor dell with graphics card: adapter Standard VGA Graphics chipset graph mobile/desktop Intel R (HSW) device.

    OS: Windows 7 professional, 64-bit

Original title: everything seems too big on my computer

The fact that you have only two resolutions would indicate that the game graphics chip driver is not properly installed.

The Standard VGA adapter is the rescue driver Windows for what specific cannot be identified or are not available.

Depending on the hardware of the computer go to the manufacturer's website, search for your particular system, download and install the graphics driver. The screen itself is not relevant.
