Window mail is delete each Email I read

When I read an email in Windows Mail, it removes my emails without putting them in the deleted file.  If I just open a message and do not delete it because I want to open later, he removes the message completely.  Please help - it drives me crazy because I lost the documents that I really need.

Windows Mail in Vista and has nothing to do with this Internet Explorer discussion group. Fix?

In the Menu Windows Mail bar: reviews | Current view. Ensure that: show all Messages is the only thing verified. Hide read messages isn't what you want.

original title: Windows Mail lost all subfolders

All of my Windows Mail subfolders and the emails contained in disappeared mysteriously.  I closed Windows Mail with all folders and opening Windows Mail again the next day, only the default folders (Inbox, sent, etc.) were present.

I created a new folder named "Test" that I can see has been saved in "C:\Users\San\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders" as well as other folders by default, but I can find no trace of my 20 folders + that I had previously.

    Help!

Nobody knows what could have happened and if they might be elsewhere on the HARD drive?  I have run several searches looking for folder names, but so far have developed in white.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Windows Mail problem - getting repeated email sent with new e-mail

I have windows mail, and something happened with the mail I had to keep getting seen previously and deleted email sent back to me with new messages every time I click on SEND/RECEIVE Mail.  So, I have to go back through repeated messages and delete.  Once I discovered removal and new messages, then adds it to the list of mail when I push SEND and RECEIVE mail and receive it again with the other 200 more messages already read.  Help, please!

Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - uncheck: leave a copy of messages on the server.

Temporarily disable in tools | Options | General:

Send and receive at startup and search for messages every XX minutes.

Reboot, and do a manual send/receive. Don't touch anything until the end of the download of the message.

Connect to your server Webmail site. It shows all messages that you have already downloaded? If this is the case, remove them. If not, re-check: send and receive at startup and search for messages every XX minutes but place it for no less than 10 minutes. If a download ends never before the next scheduled arrival, messages will start to come again.

  • Windows Mail will not export Emails my folder

Hello. I am trying to export my emails from Windows Mail, so I can import them to another program. I did, however when I looked the imported emails, I realized Windows Mail did not export the folder 'My email'. It has exported all other standard folders such as Inbox, deleted items etc. I tried just to export the folder 'My email', however I just had an empty folder. Any ideas? Thank you.

Can I assume that the "My email" folder is the one you created? What is the other email program you want to move them in? If it's an another e-mail client, try this.

To create a Windows folder on the desktop from the old machine.
    * Open a file in WinMail and drag the messages into the folder on the desktop. (They will remain in WinMail.)
To copy this folder on the desktop on the new machine.
Open the folder and drag the messages to a folder in the new e-mail program.

  • How to stop Windows Mail by downloading my emails

I have Microsoft Windows Mail worm 6. Whenever I launch it, it downloads all my emails on my computer. This means I can access is no longer my emails from my iPhone, or via the web from any other remote computer. Is it possible to set up Windows Mail so that it displays emails without downloading (synch it with my mail box web somehow, so that what I do in one is reflected in the other)?

Sure.  Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server.

You can set to delete after X days don't fall your server is blocked, but still give you time to download for both applications.

  • Windows Mail is duplicating previous emails

Windows Mail has started to download emails from the beginning of the year, once again.  Jamming system and downloads are locking up internet needing to disconnect and reconnect.  Clues on how to solve this problem?

Have you added another copy of your account?  Go to tools | Accounts and make sure there are not two copies listed.  Check also under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and if it is checked in order to leave a copy of messages on the server, then please delete them after a few days so that they accumulate.  Also try to compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and be wary of 3rd party program interference with WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3)

  • Windows Mail is deleting all messages from my Inbox

Earlier today, my Windows Mail used to have over 1000 emails in my Inbox. Tonight, I noticed that almost all of the emails in my Inbox were deleted.  If I navigate to another e-mail folder and return to the Inbox of messages more get erased.  The missing e-mails are not appearing in the file delete either.

What caused my e-mails from 1000 to clear all of a sudden?  How can I recover my 1000 mails and how this fixed a bug?

    Thank you.

    Try this:

Go to your Inbox > view > current view > check show all Messages.

    See if it works.

  • Email sent in Windows Mail show that the email was sent from a secondary account. How can I change the main account?

    Windows Mail

I use windows mail to send and receive emails.  However, when I send an email from my main e-mail address the response is sent to a secondary email address. My windows mail is set to import emails to this address, but I want the emails I send to show primary not secondary e-mail address. How can I change my settings to show that the email is sent to the primary address. Thanks for any help. Maureen

    1. Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | In general. Make sure that the response field is empty for both accounts.
    2. Also in tools | Accounts, make sure that your main account is the default account.

  • Windows Mail: cannot send an email with 2 attachments with the file size 393KO and 345 KB

I'm a Representaive Service Microsoft client displaying a number on behalf of the client. Details in the following way:

Customer problem: "my windows mail won't allow mw email with parts 2 attachments 1 @ 393kb and the other 345kb... why? I sent the same 2 files on August 7 and now it runs out.  Everything goes through Yahoo... it's my problem. "

See here and the section called WinMail: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 it will not harm the user to compact and repair the database either, because sometimes this resolves things (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Also other attachments (images, etc.) that are smaller can be sent well?  It can test by sending an e-mail to himself through this account.
