Window Windows XP DRAWER missing at startup after AVG virus cleaning

Windows xp is not put into service correctly after AVG deleted my system of a virus. I have bootcamp on my mac may pro and windows xp gives me info from the beginning usually 2 boxes to top, 1 is a window rundll indicating "an exception has occurred all. trying to launch"C:\windows\system32\NvCpl.dll,Nvstartup" After that window another window appeared at the end of a few seconds called DRAWER, or something like that. It seemed that loading all programs on my windows side successfully. RUNDLL window happens now, but not the window DRAWER, and windows xp does not work properly. I can't open google chrome now, and windows is not open my adobe programs correctly. I can't use illistrator or in design without my computer freeze. Help on-line Apple told me that I need a repair of microsoft script or something to fix my windows after the virus. Someone know how I can get my windows xp to correctly load my programs? Anyone know about this window named DRAWER (or something like that) I think was loading all my programs?...

  • Windows Vista is not look right after the virus scan (looks like old fashioned)

I ran a test and test of computer optimization after what my Windows Vista is very old looking shaped with square blocks and the screen seems also very dark. Can I make the screen brighter, but need to do this each time I start up. But my main thing is to get Windows Vista normal looking again. I tried updates, but not worked.

Can someone give me some advice please?

    Hello

I'm curious to know what it was: 'computer optimisation test '.

Normally, you lose your Vista theme after the graphics drivers are not updated.

That's why I was wondering what you were doing.

    Try this:

Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your computer model number > find your operating system > find two graphics / video or from the Chipset drivers and download and install.

It would also be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool to see if you have corrupted files

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    Windows Update problem (new)

The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

    1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
    2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
    3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.
    4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
    5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
    6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
    7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the reply.

You have installed on the computer registry cleaners?

I suggest you to scan SFC (System File Checker) and check if it helps.

SFC scan will search the system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

  • Having a problem with Windows Live Mail lock up shortly after the start.

Having a problem with Windows Live Mail lock up shortly after the start. When I start the Task Manager to end the process, it sometimes freezes and the only way to solve the problem is to disconnect which forces the profile to close. Assuming a corrupted profile, I followed the instructions of Windows support to fix a corrupted profile and copied all the files except ntuser.*. When I try to paste them into the new user profile (all profiles are admins), I get the error message asking if I want to leave to proceed. When I click on continue, all THE files in the profile block "corrupt" to the new one, including ntuser.*, that I was not choosing. Why? If the files are rewritten empty? Tried 3 times, same result. Please notify.

I think I found it! I went in the Windows Live Forum and found a thread that looked like my problem. He suggested going to msconfig and take off Live Mail list start. I couldn't find it on the list, but the top element was "" default EXE"something of an unknown manufacturer. I took it out of the startup list, and Live Mail works again! Thanks for your help!
