Windows 10 General issues for a user of Windows XP

I use Windows XP (sp3) and Ubuntu on my PC, but its time to upgrade. Windows 10 will be available in disc format for those who are unable to book it? I will be able to dual boot it with these earlier operating systems, or it will force a replacement?

First thing you can do is to make sure that your hardware is compatible wins 10

There is an available ISO

You would have to buy win 10 that XP is not included in the free update

You can dual boot

1 GHz processor or faster
1 GB of RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB of disk space available (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphical device DirectX 9 with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Your processor (CPU) must support the following extensions: SSE2, NX, EAP

So, I'm new in the world of VMware and have a few questions about having a configuration of spare warm in case something breaks down.

There are two main things I want to know...

    1.

We have a Vmware box currently implemented with 2 VM on it (I did not)

upward). We would like to have a server of spare ready in case where that crashes,

but without spending too much money. Wouldn't be better to set up ESXi

on the wheel of relief and, in case of failure, use the images on hand

to bring them up, temporarily, or to have a server spare and just

take the disks on the server down and drop them

replacement part (assuming it wasn't a disk failure). Or the other of these works would be?

    2.

Is it possible to take snapshots of machine non - VM and use then

images in VMware to save in a virtual environment until the

Advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet would be to have to install ESXi on the other server and images of current virtual machines to run on your existing server that are taken periodically. I guess that the tone of the email, that you do not have an overabundance of funds to work with, before storage, shared clustered and snapshot based backups would be off.

If you rely on the possibility of recovering virtual machines among readers on the existing system, you may be in for a surprise.

    Answer brief No..

Long answer, you can do one or two things that may not work. You can sometimes ghost physical systems and then you may be able to restore the system as a virtual machine image ghost. You might be able to restore a backup image to a virtual machine, and then fix it to a working state.

  • Terminal Windows 2008R2, 17.01 Firefox server hangs after startup for all users

We have 2 servers RDP with Windows Server 2008R2, we recently updated firefox since version 9 version 17.01 because of flash plugin crashes. After that the firefox update blocks very regular for each user.

After you open a site, we see it for a fraction of a second, then
The error message depending on whether we get:
    "Firefox has stopped working".

This is the case for most sites, some sites work however, as www.google.nl
Sites that do not work for example:
    www.YouTube.com
    www.nu.nl
    www.UNOX.nl

I thought it would be flash again.
    What we tried:
-Firefox to uninstall and reinstall again.
-Uninstall Flash player and install it again.
    -Disabled all add-ons
    -tried save mode

    -Firefox default factory reset
-Old version 16.02 (after uninstalling 17.01)

I'm a little short on options.
Any help would be much appreciated!

    Kind regards

    Joost

Luckily a colleague of me figured it out!

It turns out that the cause of the firefox crashes came from a security layer installed with the ESC Secure Layer that uses an application called Manager of funds
The dll that the accident was referring is used by this program. Find that out was the hell google is now filled with the nonsense of 'check your PC for malware' stupid on a search for the dll.

After removing the application, FF works fine again without crashing.
So it seems a compatibility issue with Firefox and Money Manager

Thanks for the help and I hope that someone in the future will have something on the solution we have found.

    Cheers!

I thought maybe some sort of virus, but I deleted the partition, re-created, formatted, it twice and reinstalled vista.  Same thing is happening. Have searched online to find answers, see a lot of people with this issue, but have not seen one resolution, other than the downgrade to XP because it only seems to happen with XP.

Anyone has any ideas where I should post this, or where to start to a solution?

Someone told me because of vision problems, I was able to get a free upgrade to Windows 7. Someone knows something about it?

    Picton1,

There is no free upgrade to Windows 7 for Vista users unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer of your system.

Contact you the manufacturer of the system for more information.

  • Scanner does not work for all users on the computer Windows 7

Photosmart 7510 Scanner does not work.  My scanner has the habit of work.   Now it does not for one of the three users on my Windows 7 desktop.

I spent over 3 hours on the phone with HP.   They had me restart the computer, Plug and unplug the printer, reinstall the software twice under different names. The software depending on what user id, it is installed under allows access to the scanner/printer to one or more users.  The scanner works with Windows Paint software for all three nicknames.

HP response is that some user control prevents the scanner software, who used to work on all three nicknames on the computer, which now works on one or more of the users.  They couldn't tell me which user control need changing.

The HP solution is to restore my system when I could scan for all users of three.   I don't want to do that.   Does anyone have a better solution?

The real problem is HP error messages.   When I click on scan a document, there is no answer.  Nothing happened.

Then I tried to scan using Windows Fax and Scan.   I got an error message which helped me locate the source of the error.   I was able to fix the problem without creating a new user account.  I had deleted bu error the file MY Document.   Restore this file fixes the problem.
