Windows 10 in Kiosk Mode
I have successfully assigned kiosk to a user account Mode in Windows 10 for classic Windows Application using the Shell Launcher. My question is, can I do the same thing through a desktop connection remote?

I'm running Wyse V10L under RDP for a response service. Each light Wyse client connects to a virtual machine specific, based on Mac. the customer once connected to the Windows virtual machine, the operator is prompted for their username and password. This combination allows each user to have their own personalized desktop, while each virtual machine software is configured to connect to the right line for the wired headset located at the counter.
I have performance issues with RDP, especially the loss of sound so that operators do not hear the ringing of incoming calls. I thought that I would try PCoIP and the first tests look good, and the general 'feel' the improvement of the machine is amazing.
But I am running into a problem. I need every individual to connect to a specific virtual machine Wyse P20. If the operator seated at the "station 1" Gets the appropriate virtual machine. I thought that the Kiosk mode would solve that, as it may be based on the Wyse client MAC, but he also writes Windows using this cm-* user.
How can I ensure that a specific client always gets the mapping to the same virtual machine, while allowing users to connect to Windows. Worse, is that a user can sit at any station, so even by assigning a subset of users for each machine is not going to work.
Thanks for any help.
Disable the SSO should give you your desired result. Your portion of the booth you will get by the broker and the allocated VM. With disabled SSO it breaks down at the Windows logon. Then, the user must enter their user name and password for the domain.

I'm looking for a solution to a problem we encountered with VMware ACE emergency.
The CEA was conducted with Workstation 6.5 for Windows, set to enter into "Kiosk" mode, which prevents all access to the host operating system.
What I'm trying to understand, is how to get the virtual machine starts automatically (done) and delete the obligation click on the dialog box "mode kiosk enter".
I assume that there is a command line switch / or line of file vmx for this, but I can't find it anywhere... any help you could give would be most appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards
Alan.
Hello
to avoid this dialog box simply use the '-k' option to switch to mode-kios.

How can I get Firefox to run KIOSK mode on Android phone? I'm trying to use rKiosk, but failed. I am running 10.0.3 on the phone.

The computer will be used only to access online catalog in my library. I need to remove the location toolbar, but keep the "back" button and the "home" button. If I use the Kiosk mode, I do not have the "previous" button. I can set it up so that I have the buttons but not the URL, but a user could right-click on the menu bar and reactivate the address bar. I need to stop them from doing it.
Thank you!Users can always bring up an address bar with the shortcut Ctrl + L if this bar is hidden.
One possibility is to hide the toolbar elements and elements of (context) menu with code in userChrome.css below default @namespace.
Customization files (interface) userChrome.css and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the user profile folder.
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */ #openLocation, #urlbar-container, #CustomizeToolbarWindow, #toolbar-context-menu { display:none!important; }

I'm having a lot of problems with my computer because of those mistakes: I have these drivers but don't know what they take over pilot mode-user WUDFRD.sys, multi-vendor AMD miniport driver and driver windows driver foundation - user mode. It states that if I no longer use this device to remove. I don't know which device this is for on my computer. Someone can help me. Yes I know nothing about computers on this level. I only know that I lost a computer and I don't want nor can afford to lose this one too.
Also I have errors on the following reports: iexplore.exe version 9.0.8112.16464 has stopped working. I need a PnPDriver (States is necessary). I hope someone can help me with these problems. Thank you for your time and your consideration.
Hello
1. What is the full error message?
2 Windows operating system is installed on the computer?
WUDFRd.sys is a Universal Disk Format (UDF) file system driver that Windows uses to read CD/DVDs in the UDF format.
Multi-vendor AMD driver Miniport is a type of device / integrated module is an AMD processor-based motherboard or video card AMD (ATi).

When I go to start the Service for Windows drivers Foundation I get the following error message, cannot start service window drivers Foundation-User-Mode Driver Framework on local computer, error 31: a device attached to the system is not functioning
I was not able to find an answer in help
Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you can disable the WDF Service. It will be one less point to start your system and will not not just sitting there working day and night with nothing to do.
On some systems, if WDF is activated, you can begin to see some errors of svchost.exe like this:
Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".
The best solution for this problem is: disable the WDF Service.

Cannot start windows Vista in safe mode.
I followed these instructions to start Windows 7 in safe mode:
I tried to start windows vista in safe mode by using the following:
- Click on the Windows icon in the left bottom of the screen while Windows is running in normal mode.
- Click on the arrow located to the right of the lock at the bottom of the popup menu symbol
- Choose "restart".
- I restart the computer, press the F8 key and hold. I tried at the beginning of the sequence to reboot and after that the light appears on the mouse, but still before the windows logo appears.
- Restart the computer in normal mode.
- I tried the key down and also tried pressing the F8 key several times both giving the same results without success.
- To eliminate the possibility of a bad keyboard, I switched from keyboards with the same results.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
You tap f8.
You can have a F-Lock key in the upper right corner of your keyboard.

Lost all files in XP mode is "My Docs" XPMUser because I can't connect? Same situation. Where Win7 stores the Windows Virtual PC > XP Mode > XPMUser "My Documents" to access if the virtual XP instance become inaccessible? Like many here, I have activated integration and where then asked for a password on the next reboot of the XP Mode. The password that I usually use has not been accepted. I tried all the possible solutions (have "integration" disabled, start with virtual XP safe mode), but not able to change my password XPmode so don't chance NO connection. I have brand new instance of XP Mode works, but obviously does not have access to the CASE of XP Mode instance. My question is simple: where are the files that I created and saved in the default location of the first modes XP XPMUser "My Documents" in Windows 7? I tried Win7 for XP 'My documents' files by names or names of game but no luck. Help, please.
It is located in the file XP Mode VHD (Virtual Hard Drive), you can look as pretty as a ZIP file that contains a structure of entire disk rather than just a few files. This VHD file is usually stored in your user folder in a folder of Virtual Machines, for example mine was in the C:\Users\SKeene\Virtual Machines.
And it's my cheesy guilty pleasure wishes to inform you that you can browse this file as if it were a hard drive, without having to start the XP mode. However, security applies: If your 'My documents' has been limited, it might be difficult to access (even if you pouvez be able to take possession of the file and gain access). Here's how:- Open the Start Menu, right-click on computer and select manage. In the maintenance window of the computer that opens, choose "disk management".
- On the right side, click "More action" and then click "Attach VHD" and select your XP Mode VHD file. You might consider making a backup of the file copy of the hard drive virtual before do you it, just in case!
- Once you have connected the virtual hard drive, an Autorun dialog box may appear. If this is not the case, simply click on Start/computer to see your new 'Local disk '.
At least, I can confirm that it worked perfectly for me, and I had access to my account "User XPMode" alongwith without problem. -
why I can't change my screen with windows 7 in xp mode and how could solve the problem
Hi tmjmech,
Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.
Settings and change integration features
When you run XP Mode, it is possible to change the material and data that are automatically integrated into the virtual pc. To change these settings when in Office XP Mode, click the Tools menu and select settings. You will now be in the settings of the virtual machine screen and click on the category of integration features . From there, you can specify what material and features that you want to embed or share with your desktop computer XP Mode.
These features are:
· Audio - this must be disabled so that you have the best performance. It should be noted that even with this unchecked, all its XP desktop mode will still play through the sound card of your host.
· Clipboard - if this is enabled, then you will be able to copy and paste between XP Mode and your normal desktop.
· Printer - Sharing host your printer with XP Mode.
· Smart cards - XP Mode allows access to the host chip cards.
· Disk - XP mode to access the host players, which include hard disks, CD/DVD players and removable media.
All changes made to the above settings will be persistent every time that you start the XP Mode. However, if you disable the integration of a particular session, you can click on the Tools menu and then select disable integration features. This will make it so that you do not have access to one of the resources of the host. To enable access to these resources, simply click on the option to enable integration features in the Tools menu.
Change the XP Mode Virtual Machine settings
If you find that XP Mode does not work as fast as you want to, or you want to add more features, you must change some settings in your settings in Virtual PC for XP Mode. To change these settings, you must first stop XP Mode so that it is not in a State of hibernation. To do this, click on the menu on Ctrl + Alt + Delete , and then click close on the screen that appears.
When XP Mode stopped, click the Start Menu, select all programs, Windows Virtual PC, scroll down and then click on Windows Virtual PC icon. You should now see a list of your Virtual PC, including Windows XP Mode. Right click on Windows XP Mode, and select settings. Now that Windows XP Mode is stopped, you can change the settings of your virtual machine. The parameters that you may consider to change to increase the performance and reliability are:
1 memory -if you find that your applications are running slowly, then you can raise it so that your applications have access to more memory system.
2 hard drives -you are able to add more 2 hard disks to your Windows XP Mode. So if you need to add another disk to your Windows XP Mode, you can do here. This will allow you to create a second disk on another physical drive of your computer to improve performance.
3. cancel the disks - disks of cancellations allow you to create a base of your installation of Windows XP Mode image and then save all changes in a disc of cancellations. So if you need start from your base image, you just go back to settings and ignore the changes in your drive of cancellations. The next time that you start Windows XP Mode, you will be back to the basic configuration with any changes you have made to scrap. I suggest that everyoneturn this option on because it only increases the safety of your installation of Windows XP Mode. When you have completed your changes, just click the OK button to save the changes.
When you then start Windows XP Mode, these settings will now be implemented.
