  Here is one that I created a document (see table) which has 3 different installation methods. These install methods have been tested several times on several different system and all have worked with success, both in printing the pages, in the printing of the word and test environments 32 and 64 bit.

  Several people have reported that the 3A install method worked successfully for them.

  If you have downloaded previous drivers and you want to clean your system, you need to remove anything with LJ1020 or LJ 1022 associated with it. This means remove all the drivers and all records of HP store. You will need to look into your print server properties (at the top of your device manager, make sure you have at least one driver with a green checkmark on this subject and it is not the LJ1022 you can see the print server properties) and remove the pilot and the package from here. So as to remove records of your C: LJ1022 / / Program files and your trash. Make sure your reset your computer BEFORE try you to reinstall anything. You may need to make some time before everything is off your system.

  I found a solution to this problem, but this isn't the ability to print a document from my XP computer to a shared printer connected to my Windows 7 computer. The solution I implemented was to connect my XP computer to the printer via a parallel cable. I went with this approach for two reasons.

  First of all, I realized that none of the drivers for this printer are available for Windows 7 64-bit allow me to print a document double sided or in a brochure (print booklet of course depends on the ability to print double-sided) from my Windows 7 computer. The dirver for this printer on my XP (32 bit) provides these capabilities. The 64-bit Windows 7 driver that Microsoft provides through Windows Update appears to support these capabilities, but when these options are selected, that the document prints single sided. Windows 7 64-bit universal printer driver for this printer that is available on the HP site is not yet expected to provide these features. It's as if HP abandoned for most of this printer. (Of course I can just be assuming that at some point it might). Surely it cannot take up that much space on their server. The other question is why the universal printer driver for Windows 7 64 bit cannot provide these capabilities? XP driver 32 bit I have, which is also a universal printer driver that I downloaded several years ago on the HP site, provides the capability. I have tried downloading a version of XP 32 - most recent bit of the driver to see if it was stripped of these capabilities.

  Second, I chose to use the parallel connection because my XP computer has a parallel port, I already had a parallel cable which was not used, and doing so allows me to have the printer connected permanently on both computers. Tempting to connect two computers using a cable USB would require to manually switch the USB of a computer connection to the other whenever I tried to print from the computer that was not connected.

  There is no support for Windows 7 to the printer, Designjet 120

  You can try the Vista drivers, but there is no guarantee that the printer does not work properly.

  The R80 driver is delivered via Windows Update.  Get it as follows: start, devices and printers, add printer, a local printer, select the appropriate port (probably USB001: for a converter usb / parallel), and then click Windows Update.  It will take several minutes for the list to update after the Officejet R80 is listed under manufacturer HP (not Hewlatt-Packard).

  Converter USB / parallel is often a problem, make sure that the model you have is supported in Windows 7.  The models listed in these tags have been reported by users to work with Windows 7 x 64.

  The HP Deskjet 1000 c is now installed and working properly.  Thanks to Bob Headrick and Paul Tikkanen.

  I finally realized that when I reinstalled Windows 7, I've eliminated the driver for Sunix parallel/Serial Port Adapter (purchased with the computer). Fortunately, I had the driver and installed. For some unknown reason that he installed as instead of LPT1-LPT3. I was able to change the port to the LPT1 port in Device Manager.

  A scare: after that I used the patch in the zip file, and moved the three extracted files to the folder indicated in the patch mode, I tried to print and discovered, to my horror, that absolutely no printer has been installed on the PC. Holding my breath, I rebooted and all printers were back.   I think you need to add the reboot to your instructions.

  I have a more detailed description (one page of a Word Doc) that I am willing to share but see no way to attach to this post.

  Download the W7 x 64 driver ASUS PCE-AC66 6.30.95.26 file.

  There is no driver software complete features available on the web server supported by your printer. This means that you will need to use the replacement driver, which is part of the Windows 7 operating system. Connect a USB cable to the printer and use the procedure add printer that is integrated into Windows 7. HP provided tutorial on how to do that here.
