Windows 7 64 - bit open TCP and UDP ports

Well im clearly online but when I open original (battlefield 3) that it says im offline, so I spoke with the original technology and they gave me 2 hours of bs to do and then he said that I had to open the ports and they sent me a link for 32 bit windows (https://help.ea.com/article/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues.) I told them I did not 'my network places' and they didn't know why... I told them it was 64-bit another 5 - 6 times and they kept on trying to make me do the 32-bit installation. idk why. but in any case, I searched google and could not find an answer that is not covered in random bs or my 64-bit windows did not have this which is suppose to be on the list.

Step 3 is not there? I got a list or change the settings of the licensed features... He didn't add the port!

for example

Method 2: Configure your system to allow access to the game servers. The firewall or the router must allow unrestricted communication on TCP and UDP Port number 3724. World of Warcraft (WoW) game client uses TCP whereas Voice Chat features use UDP. To open a port in Windows Firewall:

1. open the Windows Firewall by clicking Start , clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking on Windows Firewall.

2. click allow a program through Windows Firewall.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3. click on the port of Add. {THIS ISN'T ON MY PC}

4. in the name box, type a name that will help you remember what the port is used.

5. in the Port number box, type the port number IE 3724

6. click on TCP or UDP, depending on the Protocol.

7. to change the scope of the port, click Change scope, and then click the option that you want to use. ("Scope" refers to the set of computers that can use this port opening).

So im hoping you guys can link me to a up to this way to change the ports that will be on my windows 7 64 bit

  • Is there a way to group TCP and UDP services?

    Hello

We are doing a migration of some firewalls Checkpoint to PIX 7.x. The ASDM has evolved enormously since PDM on 6.x, and I'm starting to think it might be useful to use, compared to the CLI.

But one thing that we noticed: Checkpoint has a handy feature that allows the creation of 'service groups' which can have all TCP and UDP services.

This makes it easy to read Checkpoint modules. On the PIX now, where his was necessary to have the udp and tcp protocols allowed to a destination, I had to create 2 separate acl for udp, TCP.

Anyone know of a way to unite the tcp and udp together in a group? I feel that the answer is no, as long as it is not possible in the CLI and the ASDM is, in my opinion, just a 'display' CLI.

    TIA-

    Gary

Hello.. of course, you can use the object group service command (I don't remember h: to do from the graphical interface as I don't have it in front of me right now). You c a group of udp ports, tcp or tcp and udp ports so very similar to the way in which you can do control point.

    object-group

To define groups of objects that you can use to optimize your configuration, use the object-group command

in global configuration mode. No form of this command to delete groups of objects of the

Configuration. This command supports IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

    object-group {Protocol: network: icmp type} obj_grp_id

    No object-group {Protocol: network: icmp type} obj_grp_id

    object-group service obj_grp_id {tcp | udp: tcp - udp}

Inspect the key mentioned above - that is of HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\RasMan\PPP\EAP.

In each of the number keys look something like ConfigPathBackup and its corresponding ConfigPath - there are a number of them.

For each, I deleted the original key (e.g., ConfigPath) and restored the original by renaming ConfigPathBackup to ConfigPath

For each of them, the State is now restored to her pre State Symantec - each key pointed to a Symantec location that is no longer present and by restoring the path key backs up everything was fine

    Hi Dan,.

    The information is great.

It may be worth trying to reset Windows Media Center as follows.

Click on the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off", open media features and uncheck the box Windows Media Center.  Click Yes, then OK and then restart the computer.

When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off", open check Windows Media Center and media features.  Click Yes and then OK, and when it has finished installing, restart the computer again.

If the above does not help, try the following.

If you do not, use another PC to create a Windows 7 recovery CD.  Download the ISO from the link below.

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  One time created, or if you already have this, insert the CD and restart at the start of it.  Select repair.

Select 'Repair your computer' and follow Option 2 in the guide here to see if you can run the Windows system restore this way - if you can, choose a restore point right before WMC received the update that started this problem.

    Let me know.

  • 32-bit Windows 7-64 bit software up and running?

I plan to get a new laptop with 64-bit, Windows 7 Professional.

Can you tell me if I do not receive 64-bit, I still will be able to load all my packages of 32-bit software on a Windows 7 64 bit and will they run right with Windows 7 64 bit?

    Thanks for any response.

    Hi all

In general most 32-bit applications will work correctly in a 64-biit operating system, but there are some exceptions.  You also need to consider hardware compatibility with a 64-bit operating system.  A simple way to check if your hardware and your applications will work would be to check the Windows 7 Compatibility Center:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

Since the Compatibility Center, you can search your hardware and your applications by name and the 32-bit and 64-bit compatibility.

In addition, the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor can be used to check your system for hardware and application compatibility.  Upgrade Advisor will scan your system and checks in general for possible compatibility with Windows 7 and then issues offers advice on how to solve them.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor

Applications that have compatibility problems more often are what are called kernel mode applications and legacy 16-bit applications.  Examples might include older versions of applications based on the BACK, the anti-virus applications, old material that is not 64-bit capable.  In view of the very broad ecosystem of applications and hardware, I strongly recommend that you use the Compatibility Center and upgrade advisor to help make the decision.

I hope this helps! Shad Larsen

  • I replaced my Windows 7 64-bit system drive and now I have the "Not genuine" message after an update failed

I have a Windows 7 64-bit system I bought a provider on the local computer for a long time with Windows installed.

I replaced my hard drives of 500 GB (mirrored RAID configuration) system with hard drives of 1 TB.

After replacing the readers, I also installed a set of Windows updates. We update failed. After you restart the computer, I ran Windows update again. It seemed that all upgrades completed.

HOWEVER, I now have the message "this computer is not running Genuine Windows". Windows Indexing is not running, send me problems in Outlook and elsewhere.

I saw discussions on the online forum on the problem "Not genuine" resulting from an update of Windows failed and resulting also to change the hard drive.

I led Activation (slui.exe 3) typed in the product key from the sticker on the computer and it activates OK but does not erase the message.

I clicked on pay online now and ran legitcheck.hta and my system has failed validation. The options are to buy or to perform a new installation of Windows.

I have a lot of programs installed on the computer, and I can't lose all configuration data and reinstall all programs. That would take several days and I would not have a system can be used in the meantime.

I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool (1.9.0027.0) and have these results below.

There are a lot of files file mismatches and "tampered with". I believe that this is due to the update has failed.

I thought to manually rerun all updates that goes back to the date when first I struggled (about a month). However, I wasn't sure if this solves the problem or make worse it.

You can leave the data below what actions I need to take the next?

I am a independent and use this computer to work. I have backups of my data files, but it is many installed applications that I can't do without.

  • Difference between IPSec over TCP and UDP IPsecover

    Hello world

I'm testing the VPN to the user's PC.

When I test the PC of the user using IPsecoverTCP it uses protocol 10000.

When I check on ASA - ASDM under connection details

    ike1 - UDP Destination Port 500

    IPsecOverTCP TCP Dst Port 10000

    using Ipsecover UDP

    IKEv1 - Destination UDP 500 Port

IPsecOverUDP - Port of Destination UDP Tunnel 10000

Therefore when using TCP or UDP uses the same port 500 and 10000.

Is need to know what is the major difference between these two connections just TCP or UDP?

    Concerning

    MAhesh

IPSec over TCP is used in scenarios where:

1 UDP port 500 is blocked, resulting in incomplete IKE negotiations

2 ESP is not allowed to cross and encrypted traffic thus do not cross.

    3. network administrator prefers to use a connection oriented protocol.

    4. IPSec over TCP may be necessary when the intermediate NAT or PAT device is stateful firewall.

As there are IPSec over UDP with IPSec over TCP, there is no room for negotiation. IPSec on the TCP packets are encapsulated from the beginning of the cycle of implementation of the tunnel. This feature is available only for remote access VPN not for tunnel L2L. Also does not work with proxy firewall.

While IPSec via UDP, similar to NAT - T, is used to encapsulate ESP packets using a UDP wrapper. Useful in scenarios where the VPN clients don't support NAT - T and are behind a firewall that does not allow the ESP packets to pass through. IN IPSec over UDP, the IKE negotiations has always use port UDP 500.

  • I want to save the files in tif format in windows 7, 64-bit operating system and Office 2010.

    Hi team, support

I'm using windows 7, 64-bit and Office 2010 operating system. I want to save web files(e-invoices) in .tif format.

Because the tif format is only way to download web files(e-invoices) in the download system.

Please tell us how can I save the files directly in tif like Window XP format.

He had no problem when I used Windows XP. I could save the files in tif through Microsoft Office Image Writer as a default format.

A tif file is simply an image

Office 2010 does not include Microsoft Office Image Writer, he made the MS featured xps document writer and send to OneNote (according to the version of office)

You can also think about saving to PDF

Nothing else; Re-post for groups of office, not this group of generic programs because it has nothing to do with the victory

  • Windows 7, 64-bit OS AM and I tried to download addons/themes, but they will not install in Firefox

I tried to download (successfully), addons and themes however Windows 7 tells me that there is an error and it does not recognize the software and cannot open it. So can not change or add to Firefox. AM also using Word 2010 sxo don't know if this is causing the problem.

If download you the XPI file, then you can use file > open the file to install the extension.

It is easier to install the extension directly on the site with a left-click instead of save the file.
