Windows 7 64-bit PCI-7813R compatibility & PCI6225 cards.

We have a desktop PC that works under Windows 7 (64-bit). Labview 2012 64-bit version is compatible with

PCI-7813R & maps PCI-6225?

There is no 64-bit versions of the FPGA or RT modules at this time. The interface LabVIEW FPGA host does support 64-bit, but it's just to interface with the target once a bitfile has been deployed and does not allow you to create a new 64-bit LabVIEW bitfiles.

So, if you are doing development on this machine, you must use the 32-bit version of LabVIEW (works great, even on x 64 OSes). Your hardware all still work no matter what. I just wanted to be clear that for development, you should use the 32-bit version of LabVIEW when working with modules FPGA or RT.

  • Windows 7-64 bit PCI devices

We are upgrading all computers and the Windows 7 OS with 64 bit.  The M & A does not recognize the interface PCI, but Windows doesn't.

With the help of CVI 9.0 and NI_DAQ 8,9.

Looking at other posts, it appears that NEITHER does not support Windows 7.  If this is true, when they will be.

    What is your PCI device?

NOR-MAX recognized it as your previous version of Windows?

Your application software can speak for the PCI device?

What version of NOR-MAX do you use?  This table (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/EE0FB9EB80AE148686257336006CED22) shows that NEITHER-MAX 4.5 shipped with NOR-DAQmx 8.9 you said you were using.  Table or compatibility with Windows 7 this you need of NOR-MAX 4.6.2.  You may need to ugrade your NI_DAQmx to a minimum of 8.9.5 and your NOR-MAX to 4.6.2.

You can get NOR-DAQmx here: http://www.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/tech/lang/en/pg/1/sn/catnav: of the, n8:3478.41.181.5495 s...

Compatibility table does include a note OR-MAX 4.6.2 will run in the Windows on Windows emulation layer, but that Windows 7 should be transparent to you and should not affect his ability to recognize the devices.

  • Windows 7 64 bit without recognizing an SD card or SDHC card through the bult in the card reader.

12/15/10 my computer Desk Top read SDHC and SD cards without problems through the media built in card reader, but the small import window to the lower right of the screen wouldn't do anything, I have to disconnect & reconnect to get rid of it.
Then, on 18/12/10 if I inserted the card SD or SDHC card & NOTHING happen on the monitor. It was as if nothing was plugged. It would appear click on the Start button > computer as a removable storage but it wouldn't ask to import the photos. No window pop up or anything.
If I have a SD or SDHC insert card in a USB adapter so that connected on a USB Port, it works fine. I tried with four different memory cards.
Why the computer OS does not recognize that the inserted card & even the computer itself would know that it was inserted because there is a small light that flashes when something is plugged. But he doesn't want to import and MARK photos directly from the construction in the card reader?
I was on the phone with gateway 3 times by train to update ALL the drivers & try the system restore on the eve of thatI know it actually worked.
I even spent an hour and 45 minutes on the phone with a Tech. Microsft via the remote control and still could not solve the problem. Everyone wants to blame others, but I see a lot of people have very similar problems.
My computer was purchased there are 4 1/2 months. It's a gateway FX6840-03e. It is a very powerful platform but suddenly something happened and now it will not import pictures from the card reader. I have to import via USB!
The strange thing is that my sister told me that exactly the same thing happened to his computer about a week and half ago. It is configured to download & install updates automatically. I'm set up just to be notified to download and install myself.
Why backup restore & would still work on a date that we both knew for positive that our computers were working very well?
So we need help! Anyone have any solutions or suggestions? The only assistance we have received so far was "Re-install the entire operating system."

Well Finally I found the problem of not being able to import images. After so much work and all try, same re-install windows7 operating system
It turns out this is one brass bit inside the construction tabs in the card reader was not working properly! Just a. That's all it took. It would show that the card has been installed, the light on the computer itself would show a card has been installed, but he wouldn't ask to import.
THANK YOU ALL for your help and suggestions! It was great.
The computer is fairly new but it had a flaw inside the card reader. So, if anyone knows the same check the connection problem.
Once again thatnk you for your help!

  • Sims 2 questions on Windows 7 (64 bit) - black screen when starting the game

Questions of title: Sims 2 original on Windows 7 (64-bit)

The compatibility for Windows 7 thing, says that the Sims 2 and all the expansions will run in Windows 7.

When I installed in fact all games Sims 2 on my laptop, however, the game does not start.

I click on the game, opened upward, and I just get a black screen, causing me to have to restart the entire system.

I tried to run in compatibility mode, which was a no-go. EA customer support asked me to update my drivers, I did. Because none of this worked, I guess that's another problem in Windows 7, so it would be great if I could get a solution to this problem!

  • Windows 7 64 - bit hangs / freezes on file transfers

I have dealt with this subject for about a year now.  I searched the Internet and found dozens of forums where people have had the same problem, but nobody seems to know how to solve this problem, or is that the real cause.  I tried many solutions, I don't even remember all.  I'm doing a last resort in order to solve this problem before you begin to replace the equipment, what I don't want to do because I'm broke.
The problem is that Windows 7 64-bit will randomly hang or freeze during file transfers.  It can be something as simple as browsing the internet (files small cache), move files on the computer or download large files of several gigabytes.  The OS crashes, and programs will start to become unresponsive ("not responding").  If I open resource monitor, there are 100% activity times higher (blue line on the drives to transfer files), but virtually no real disk activity at all.  The light LED disk activity is 100%, but nothing happens.  In fact, the file transfer stops during this period.  The mouse is always sensitive, and some windows are still active, but start to go does not respond when you click on it.  After that from 1 to 3 minutes the computer will return to normal, the blue line in monitor resource falls back down, and file transfer activity resumed as if nothing had happened.  Sometimes this will cause the OS to freeze, and the only solution is to reboot.
That's the gist of it.  I tried all sorts of things to remedy this, but nothing seems to work.  Please let me know what you have to try, and I'll let you know if I did it, or give it a go.
Here are the specs of my machine:
    • Windows 7 64 - bit SP1 (clean install)
    • Card mother ASUS P6T (latest version of the BIOS 1408)
    • Intel Core i7 - 920 Bloomfield 2.66 GHz Quad - Core Processor
    • CORSAIR XMS3 6 GB (3 x 2 GB) 240 - Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) TR3X6G1600C9 Triple Channel Kit
    • 512-P3-N954-TR of EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 512 MB PCI Express 2.0 x 16 video card (latest nVidia drivers)
    • Intel X 25 - M Mainstream SSDSA2M080G2XXX 80 GB 2.5 "SATA II MLC internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (latest firmware)
    • LG DVD SATA burner black model GH22NS50
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Please, if you know what could be the problem here, let me know.  I think my next step if I don't think that one solution is to replace the motherboard (bad disk controllers?).

I just replaced my hard drive Intel SSD with a Seagate 1 TB HDD and I have not seen the problem since.  If the Intel SSD has been the cause of the problem?  Why we do this?

  • How can I increase my usable RAM to 4 GB under Windows 7-32 bit?

    I have a laptop (Acer 5741 G) with 4 GB of RAM. I run Windows 7 32-bit

    > Control Panel > system shows that: installed Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB (2.53 GB usable).

I found a few fixes for Windows 7 and applied to my system and now it shows this: installed Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB(3.87 GB usable)

I want to know is there a solution for 4.00 GB usable in Windows 7 32 bit?

my graphics card is a Geforce GT 320 M with 1024 MB of dedicated RAM (No part).
Also, you can check my laptop specs: Acer 5741 G

Link to the patch file: http://www.tarfandestan.com/files/Patch-3-Windows-Vista-and-7.zip

Windows 7 32-bit is hardcoded only address 4 GB of TOTAL memory. If you have 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB of video RAM, your video card gets 1 GB which means now Windows has only 3 GB of memory left to address (even if you have 4 GB of free RAM). The other 0,47 GB is probably reserved for other hardware components (or buffer just as your reserved chipset). You can actually dig into the Device Manager and (with a little math) understand exactly the amount of memory is reserved for each component. Mark Russinovich has a very detailed and technical article is here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2008/07/21/3092070.aspx

EAP is a feature that allows to address more than 4 GB of memory with 32 - bit. I * think * Win7 32-bit installs the core EAP (ntkrnlpa.exe and ntkrpamp.exe in c:\windows\system32) because it has other features for newer processors, but even the PAE-enabled kernel is still hardcoded to a 4 GB max memory addressable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension#Microsoft_Windows). So I would say that the patch is trying to hack in and remove the 4 GB limit so that you can fully use EAP to address more than 4 GB. Aside from possibly violate the windows license agreement, you won't see any problems. Or you might eventually see some of the problems that Mark Russinovich describes as possible when the client systems use EAP for > 4 GB:

What they find is that many systems would crash, hang or be initialized because some device drivers, usually those for video and audio devices that are found generally on clients, but no servers, no were not programmed to wait physics treats more than 4 GB. Thus, the drivers truncated such addresses, having for result of memory corruptions and the side effects of corruption. Server systems generally have more generic devices and with drivers simpler and more stable, and therefore did not usually surface these problems. The problematic client driver ecosystem led to the decision for client SKUS to ignore physical memory that lies beyond 4 GB, even though they can theoretically solve.

First of all, I have a games for Windows 95, 98, XP, Vista called 'Armada of Star Trek,"'Star Trek Armada II Demo', 'Star Wars Galactic Battle grounds - Saga Edition', and I also have a programe of game production animal called"Game Maker 7. With the games in Star Trek, they install OK but when I try to play them they say I don't have enough virtual memory, they all have two needs a minimum of 256 MB and a recommended amount of 1 GB, and according to my computer, I have 8 GB of virtual memory. With the Star Wars game graphics are stripped but the graphics card of computers more is sufficient to support because my computer call supports the 1080 p 3d graphics and the game is not HD or 3D. The programe "Game Maker 7" guard back to the version lite free of the paid Pro version, but it doesn't on my HTPC Windows 7 family 32-Bit, I also on, and it does not show some programs tap tiles, but they appear on the HTPC, so do you know what could be the problem, I know it something to do with the 64-bit operating system part , but I don't know if it's just that or not. I have also contacted HP and YoYo Games (Game Maker 7) and expect them here. I would appreciate it if you could help me at least pushes the problem wrong.

    Hi Sharp955,

Yes, the game Star Trek is not compatible with Windows 7 64 - bit edition. However, it is compatible with the 32-bit Windows 7.
