Windows 7 - a 7 then installed Vista, need to go back to 7.

Original title: can someone please help me?

All right, so he started with my computer make me do a Startup Repair whenever I open a session and I would sometimes get the blue screen. So basically my computer would start but not start. So I thought I had a virus, I didn't, and I ended up remove ALL. EVERYTHING. (I didn't have to re - install windows btw) So I accidentally installed windows vista on my laptop windows 7. The thing is it now works, starts and starts fine but all I WANT is my windows 7 premium :/ I installed vista and I can not connect to wifi at least re - install windows 7. So I'm stuck, I'm not going to buy windows 7-_-I refuse me. But the model of my computer dell laptop inspiron n4110. Help? Any suggestions?

If your Dell printer was supplied with preinstalled win7 use your Dell recovery disks to restore to factory State.

If you do not or did not have the recovery disks when you got the PC, contact Dell support to pray, for which there is a fee

When you finally get reinstalled win7, run windows update > settings then uncheck updated recommended, leaving ONLY the important updates for automatic installation

  • I bought Windows Vista Home Premium and got a free upgrade to Windows 7. Can I install Vista on a second computer and still be legal?

I bought Windows Vista Home Premium and got a free upgrade to Windows 7, which I have installed on Computer1.  Can I install Vista on a second computer computer2 and still be legal?

Is same question with versions of Microsoft office, if I have multiple versions allowed to install an earlier version on a second computer and stay legal?

No, unfortunately not, when you upgraded to Windows 7 indeed renounce you your right to use Vista. But keep the product key and Vista media where you need to perform a clean installation of Windows 7 again.

For MS Office (according to license as some allow multiple installations) If this older version is not in use you can install it on this computer second no questioned asked.

  • CREATIX card TV no longer works for Windows Media Center after you install Vista Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional

I recently updated my computer Windows Vista Edition Medion Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. While my computer was running Vista, I could use the tuner TV SAA7131 Creatix card in my computer to watch digital TV British, that is to say Freeview. Before my upgrade to Windows 7, I checked all my drivers would be compatible, and the Advisory program told me that they would be sufficient. However, when I tried to setup of the library to receive a TV signal, the implementation will not progress beyond the screen "Considering television signals" Percentage of completion bar gets to about 90% and then does not move, or entirely 100%, but the screen does not change, and if I try to return to the main menu screen, Windows Media Center crashes with the 'circle of rotation of loading"and does not change.

I reinstalled Cyberlink Home Cinema after realization of the Medion TV improve extra that comes with it, but that didn't seem to help. The same problem persists.

I have still the disk with the drivers on, but I'm not sure how to reinstall the drivers using the disk, because the record for drivers TV Tuner does she not an executable file, just a series of system files, application extensions and the DAT files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must find the CTX driver version in the code of your tv card provider (poster Device Manager it under hardware ID in the Details tab) in the list of suppliers PDF in the FAQ section of the site Creatix. Then, you can download the right CTX driver from the support section. Is there a Windows 7 driver for my SAA7131 card.

  • Aspire E-531 boots but Windows 8 will not load. I need to get back to the factory settings

    I don't have the D2D option in BIOS > hand - so I can't activate it :-)

and go to F10 when booting has no effect.

When I look at the disk (on the computer) I see drives C: and RECOVERY (Y)

so I was wondering what to do next?

Thanks, I tried this method of "brute force" by running GParted - but there is 'no screen available' when GParted loaded (!), so I couldn't go any further

However trying the different (Legacy vs UEFI) BIOS settings I had the D2D option to appear.

After you have enabled the option and AltF10 I entered a custom screen set - must be the entity "Windows Boot Manager" with - and I have the options to restore the computer. FACT!

My first brush with UEFI... Thank you

  • Has managed to recover from the infinite loop restart Vista SP1 "configuration updates stage 3 of 3 0%"- but Windows Update always wants me to install Vista SP1!

WIndows Update asks me to install Vista SP1. I did and got into the infamous infinite loop of SP1 (infinite loop ' configuration updates stage 3 of 3 0% "with Vista SP1). I used F8 to repair my computer, and I chose a restore before the SP1 update point has been installed. The restore point has been applied successfully, so I have the computer in the back. Super. However, Windows Update wants me reinstall Vista SP1. Needless to say, I am reluctant to do so. But I want to be aware of the Windows updates. What do I do? TIA

1B. download the tool McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. right click on the file that you saved in # 1 above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    4. right click on the file that you saved in # 1 b above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    5. ensure that the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955430 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 have been installed. (If they were, they would belong to installed updates. If they don't, try to manually download/install.

  • How can I reinstall MS OneNote2003 after installing Vista?

    Hello everyone,

I was a bit confused of the 'ExpressUpgrade' action, because I first thought I would get
a DVD-Windows Vista upgrade, but as I can see in ModusLink he is named "Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit DVD"... OK, it's done now, but that's why I have other questions:

There was additional software and utilities already installed (I have a Satellite P100 - 463 WinXP).
I know that there is this "step by step Toshiba DVD" who has first updates the BIOS, install Vista and then the drivers needed and utility (as "Toshiba Assist" and all the others, I guess). As it is written in the guide step by step, all programs etc. will be deleted, as formatting of the hardddisk, ok.

But with the laptop, there wasn't "MS Office OneNote 2003" already installed and this program, I have not found on one of the DVD / CD. On the CD is 'MS Works 8.5' and on 'Tools-CD"that I was burning of 'C:\toolscd' there are things like"InterVideo Win DVD Creator"(the player) and"recorder of Sonic.

On the "Recovery-DVD" is just the Image of Windows XP preinstalled + software etc and I think of course, there is also the OneNote2003, but like I said I can't find the setup.exe from OneNote2003 anywhere...

Or could it be that OneNote2003 will also be installed with the installation of Vista? What is a "core" Vista, don't not patched by Toshiba? As I was reading in the Vista_Express_Upgrade_instruction_multilanguage.pd f (the manual "upgrade progressive", first BIOS is up to date, then installed Vista and here again I have to use the toshiba DVD to install the software and drivers...) Is it only "utiltities' as"Toshiba Assist"or as software?

Last question: update after the BIOS that is needed for Vista, is still possible to install the "old" Windows XP + stuff pre-installed recovery-DVD or this BBIOD goof only for Vista update and I cannot restore the original recovery image?

And anyway, can I install new stuff like Works 8.5 etc. on Vista or will I have problems with it?

    Thanks for the replies.
    Greetings, launchee

    Hi kai

I know that the Vista upgrade is a bit confusing
So I'll try to clarify some things:

1.) Toshiba Recovery XP CD contains all Toshiba drivers, utilities and tools, as well as additional programs like OneNote, Win DVD, etc.
It is not possible to install this software separately without using the recovery CD because these programs are part of the image.

2.) as far as I know the received "Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit DVD of moduslink company is not a restore CD but the real Windows Vista installation CD. That's why you need to install all the tools of Toshiba and the drivers after installing Vista. This CD does not include additional software such as OneNote or WinDVD

So finally, you will be able to install Works 8.5 on Vista because you have one working on CD separately but it s not possible to install OneNote from recovery CD

But you can try another way. You could create a second partition and you could install the Vista to the second partition.
Laptop you would use the two operating system; XP and Vista. The Vista also provides a clean boot manager.
Therefore, it is very easy to switch between the two OS's.

  • Install Vista Ultimate on a new disc

    Hello world

I have Vista Ultimate installed on my 320 GB internal hard drive.

The Vista disc that I have, cannot be installed on a pc.

Unfortunately, this disc has become unstable and I'm afraid it will fail and I will lose everything on it.

I am about to buy a 1 TB drive and wish first, partition, then install Vista Ultimate on it, then transfer all of my original him.

A simple enough thing to do I guess.

However, I learned by several people that I won't be able to install Vista on drive 1 TB, as Microsoft will see this facility as a "second installation on a second pc" and so I will not be able to validate my drive.

Can someone tell me if this is correct

    Thank you very much

    It's not correct.

You have a copy of Windows retail or an OEM version? Or we can
be installed only on one computer at a time, but a copy has an OEM
additional restriction: his license it permanently binds to the first
computer, it is installed on and it can never be moved to another.
However, even if it is an OEM copy, change the hard drive does not work
another computer and you can certainly do that and use
your copy of Windows in this regard.
