Windows 7 activation failed because no system on the SSD before installation.

Hi, I just updated my computer and I have installed the version of win7 upgrade.

I got the error activation failed because there was no system on the SSD before installation.
Instead of having to do all that again (install xp and win7 or reinstall win7 then win7) I did a registry change
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\OOBE has changed the 1 to a 0 and restarted
Entered the CD - Key and got the error

On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core, run "slui.exe 0x2a 0xC004F061" to display the error text.
Error: 0xC004F061

activate Windows then told me, "the product key you entered cannot be used to activate windows on this computer".
Then I tried the thing about the phone call.

received 2 numbers
800-8236, I get the message that this number is not in use.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Windows XP activation fails, even if my copy is authentic.

A few years ago, I bought a pre built PC and specified Windows XP Pro to electrify with her. This machine died years ago and sat idle, however, I have now rebuilt a machine using parts of this machine plus another and reinstalled my copy of XP Pro. Although I don't have the original key sticker, I used keyfinder to get an account rendered my key and then disappeared on Windows activation, which failed to activate. Because it is an automated service, I have no way to talk to Microsoft and this machine does not connect to the internet, its used just as a word processor now. My copy of XP Pro has been recativated a couple of times over the years when wiping once and replacing a faulty hard drive, but it is a genuine version, purchased by me, used on a single computer. EC who on earth can I now please?

  • Windows 7 activation failed - 0xC004C008 error code

    Hello

Back in 2011, I bought a new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium to upgrade my desktop computer.

I had to replace the hard drive at the time, so it was a fresh install of Windows 7 on the machine (not an upgrade in itself)

A couple of weeks, I had a new new office and think that because I already had a version authentic Windows 7 the disk, I might as well get a new machine without operating system and install Windows 7 top.

It has been working well for about a week, but this morning I got a message saying that my version of Windows could not be validated. It's the complete error which is to come:

    Code: 0xC004C008

Desription: The activation server determined that the specified product key cannot be used.

Most of the support that I've read online indicates that Windows has been activated too many times, but I don't see how this is the case. To be clear, this is only the second time that the product key that came with my version of Windows 7 Home Premium has been used.

I have to get Microsoft to put something else?

    Who should I contact?

EDIT: I've seen instructions suggesting I need to activate by phone to make it work. However, I don't seem to have an option to activate by phone. All the instructions I have seen suggest right click on computer > select Properties > activate Windows now and choose to activate by phone. However, I have no option when I try these steps. The only options I have are activate Windows online now or ask again Me later. So I can't find the phone number of an Activation Center to the United Kingdom.

EDIT 2: I'm sorry. Taken the lead. Figured it out myself! Thank you all the same.

    Thank you very much

    Neil.

If you buy a "full version" of Windows 7, or even an "Upgraded" version, you are limited to having it installed and activated on one PC at a time.

    Hello

I added an SSD for my hp pavilion 500-417NG and want to install Windows 7 64 Bit including SP1 for the SSD.

I use a USB key to start the installation of Win 7 program.

The installation program starts as usual, lets me select language, keyboard, etc. and start installing.

It generates an error, indicating a pilot is missing and only provides options for search or try again.

I have downloaded all the drivers HP Win 7 and made available in a folder that is accessible during the installation, but the pilot will not be found.

So I need to cancel the installation.

Greetings. My system Windows 8 found a major update, but it cannot install it. The update is called "Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241)." I try to install it and it installs and I see a screen that says:

    Failed: 1 update

    Error (s) found:

Code 800703F1 Windows Update has encountered a problem. Get help with this error
    ________________________________

From there, I have the option to 'Try again', but when I try I always get the same result (error 800703F1). I already tried the Windows Update troubleshooting tool and whenever I run that he finds two problems and offers correct: "Repair Windows Update Database Corruption" and "repair the Windows Update components. I had it apply these patches every time, but the problem persists.

I read about this setting by using the function "sfc/scannow", but oddly, when I try even in an elevated command prompt he also fails. It scans absolutely nothing and says: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
The 'Windows Modules Installer"service is set to"Manual"and runs, as I read it is necessary.

What is really weird, is that in my list of installed updates, KB2822241 stands as one of the updates already installed with the name of "update for Microsoft Windows" (instead of "update for Windows 8"as one continues to try to install my PC), and when I run the independent for this update installer (I downloaded from the web site of Microsoft to try it) the installation program indicates the update is already installed, and it closes. This gave me the idea that maybe my PC is confusing one update for the other. After all, why he would find KB2822241 as an important update that it needs if it is already installed?

I know that I can normally solve the problem of update and the question of the SFC by resetting or refresh my PC via built-in tools of Windows 8, but I don't want to go through that, unless it's the only solution. System Restore didn't help, but it is an opportunity to reinstall some other updates.

As it is, then, the problems persist: "Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241)" settles "sfc/scannow" cannot perform the operation and not I ask.

For the record, my machine is a 900 Asus EeePC ha with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and it is running 32-bit Windows 8.

I'd appreciate any help on this matter. Thank you in advance.
