Windows 7 aero features

My Satellite worked perfectly with windows 7 until a few days ago when the features of aero desktop, such as the taskbar thumbnails, turned off whenever I turned off my laptop.
I can turn on again them, but as soon as I close they off again. The problem is that the desktop windows manager is disabled.

I'm not technical and cannot see how to fix it permanently.
Anyone got any ideas please?

What is the answer? [http://www.blogsdna.com/2056/how-to-enable-or-disable-taskbar-thumbnails-preview-in-windows-7.htm]

  • Aero features do not work

    Hello:

I used to be able to see the images of the small window graphic elements of program running in my taskbar and I could hover over a specific icon and pop-up windows would be above the taskbar program image.  When these arise I could easily switch between different windows program itself, or the impact of each program running as in the IE example below.

When hovering over an icon to the taskbar, all the individual instances resulted in the host program would jump up like a very small graphic window containing an image where I was at that time.  One-stop shop could be eBay, or PayPal.com or elsewhere on the site, but now and all of a sudden the windows graphics exhausted away and changed online ecr that is stacked.  (See graphic image embedded below)

Anyone know what I did accidentally, or if an update caused cela, or whatever the cause was... Help me.  :-)

    Thank you very much

  • Windows 7 Aero and Office 2013 incompatibility

I originally asked this question in the Community Forum of Windows, but it occurs to me that it could be related to VMware Tools and how they treat of Aero Windows 7, if I copy the thread here.

So, I would like to run a windows on my MacBook Pro image for backward compatibility.  Here is the image I created.

MBP OSX 11.8.2 with VMware Fusion 5.0.1

    Windows 7 SP1 64-bit 6.1.7601

    Office 2013 15.0.4420.1017 64-bit (Final)

    VMware Tools 9.2.1.818201

From any application with active Aero, Office 2013 creates a white screen where you can see a few artifacts when you hover over them and you can close the application by clicking on the upper right (no doubt the 'X' would be expected normally).

Disabling Aero product of the normal and of course desktop features, applications is as ugly as the new office.

Given the direction that MS has taken on the reduction feature, I understand if the answer to my question is that MS wants that disable you Aero.  no doubt, so I'll get used to less features and be more willing to downgrade to Windows 8.  But the white screen appears like a bug.

Have I not this wrong?  Is there a way to keep active Aero and always use Win7/Office15?

What I write is a screenshot of the screen of my MBP, so you can see exactly what I see.

Office 2013 is the only program that has this problem.
I said on two virtual machines running on the same laptop, both using Windows 7.

Here is the word off Aero.

Here is my active desktop with Aero.

Here's the word on Aero.  Note the search engine for artifacts when I mouse over it.
    The application is also black.
    http://ironbravo.com/public/20121027/Word%20on%20Aero%201.png

I also tried to use an Aero feature of failover to an application with the preview showing.  It shows as black.  Here is the image.
    http://ironbravo.com/public/20121027/Word%20on%20Aero%202.png

Excel on Aero has the same problem.
    http://ironbravo.com/public/20121027/Excel%20on%20Aero%201.png

    Does PowerPoint
    http://ironbravo.com/public/20121027/PowerPoint%20on%20Aero%201.png

On Excel and PowerPoint, I wriggle on the Find dialog box when I took the screenshot.

What is potentially interesting, is when the application starts I see the splash screen and when he closes by selecting the hidden in the upper right corner X, I see an animation to minimize the screen.  It is very remarkable because you see the colors of the theme of the application, like Word blue, green for Excel, or red for PowerPoint.

So, I'm not sure how useful screenshots of a black screen can be, but they are.

Your question about compatibility mode, I checked the Windows 7 App compatibility is not enabled for this application, and I do not remember having enabled for all applications in the image.  I've done was by viewing the application settings of the dialog box Word 2013 icon properties on the Compatibility tab.

My laptop has a screen of 2880 x 1800, so I reduced the size of the images here.
When running in full screen, rather than a window, the results are the same.
All files are stored here if you want to than the original images.

  • Cannot run the system error PrintMaster 2012 PlatinumBasic has been replaced by Windows Vista Aero in Windows Vista Basic.

After you install the above program, I am not able to open it. I get a message saying that the color scheme has been changed from Windows Vista Aero to Windows Vista Basic. However, the program is still not open. Any ideas on what I should do?

    Hello

    1. is the issue limited to the program Print Master 2012 base Platinum?

If you receive a message that some Visual elements, such as transparency, have been turned off or if you receive a message that the color scheme has been changed to Windows Vista Basic, one of the following might have happened:

    ·         A program that you are using is not compatible with the Windows Aero color scheme. When you run a program that is not compatible with the Windows Aero color scheme, some Visual elements are automatically disabled. When the program is not is more running, the Visual elements that have been disabled will then automatically lit.

    ·         Your computer does not have to have enough memory to run all of the programs that you have open and also run the Windows Aero color scheme. Try closing some windows or changing your color scheme to Windows Vista Basic. If Windows automatically changed your game of colors in Windows Vista Basic, and you want to change it back to Windows Aero after closing some windows, follow these steps.

    See the link below:

  • VMware Player disables / disrupts Windows "Mouse keys" feature

Is it true that VMware Player disables (or otherwise disrupts) windows "Mouse keys" feature?

I have created a new account on the Windows machine, activated the "Mouse keys" function ("Start" > "Control Panel" > "Ease of Access Center" > "Make the mouse easier to use" > "Turn on mouse keys").  I then checked only by pressing the keys on the numeric keypad of my keyboard did indeed move the mouse according to this Microsoft Web page: <http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/use-mouse-keys-to-move-the-mouse-pointer >.

I then started VMware Player and run a virtual machine in him.  I noticed that the function "Mouse keys" did not move the cursor within the virtual machine.  However, when I moved the mouse outside the window of the player (using the mouse), on the Windows desktop, then quickly press the pad digital is no longer move the cursor of the mouse.  Even after I left the player, the "Mouse keys" feature is lost.  Windows always shows that the option is selected.  (Turning the option off and then back on does not return the function).

Am I missing something?  How can I retrieve the "Mouse keys" feature or prevent the player that affect it?  (I was testing or not "Mouse keys" would work inside the virtual machine).

    Thank you

    -Steve

I think I stumbled on the reason for the problem I described.

I think that, somehow, VMware Player tilt one of the parameters that affect Microsoft "mouse keys".  I noticed that in the ' use mouse keys when NUM LOCK is on / off "is set on 'On' rather than 'Off '.  (The setting is in the window by 'Start' > 'Control Panel' > "Ease of Access Center" > "Make the mouse easier to use" > "Set up mouse keys").  When I went to 'OFF', then keys mouse operated correctly again.  (You can also leave the single setting but tilting the NUM LOCK button also allowed head of the mouse buttons is fine.)

So, I work the feature keys of mouse.

  • Windows Vista / Aero on my Equium M70

Hello. I just downloaded Windows Vista RC1 for my M70 that only, I bought a couple of months it is from Curry. It has Vista capable sticker on it and the seller has confirmed that Vista will work properly with 3D enhancements.

Of course, I want to have a full experience of Windows Vista. Yet, Windows Aero does not work on my machine because of the graphics card: Mobile Intel (r) 82915 GM/GMS/910GML. I didn't bother installing the basic version again. I did some research for the past hours. The equipment meets the requirements of Vista but it's the Intel driver that needs to be updated and Intel have yet to put the pilot. I sent them an email about this, and they said that it is not their policy to disclose information about software that may or may not be current. They also stressed that Vista is not officially released yet.

What I want to know is, Intel released a driver for my machine/chipset compatible with Windows Aero, even after that Vista has been officially released? He has seriously upset that my laptop, that I spent so much may not be at the height.

    Help, please!

    Hello

I found this info on one of the European sites of Toshiba on Vista.

The "Windows Vista Capable" designation is given to Windows Vista Capable Toshiba notebooks that meet the following minimum requirements. Computers laptop Toshiba with Vista Capable logo can be upgraded to support the Windows Vista operating system.
A Windows Vista Capable laptop includes at least:
    -A modern processor
-512 MB of system memory or more
-A DirectX 9 capable graphics processor

All portable Windows Vista Capable will be able to run at least the base Windows Vista experiences. To enjoy the full experience of Windows Vista, including the Windows Aero user experience, ask for a Windows Vista Premium Ready designated compatible laptop.

"Windows Vista Premium Ready" designation is given to a Windows Vista Capable laptop that meets the minimum recommended for Home Premium, Ultimate, Business, or Windows Vista Enterprise edition.
Features available in editions of the specific premium Windows Vista, such as the ability to watch and record live TV, may require additional hardware.
    -Processor 1 GHz 32-bit (x 86) or 64-bit (x 64)
    -1 GB of system memory
-Support for DirectX 9 graphics with a driver WDDM, 128 MB graphics memory (minimum), Pixel Shader 2.0 and 32 bits per pixel
-40 GB hard drive with 15 GB of free space capacity
    DVD - ROM drive
    -Audio output
    -Ability to access Internet

As mentioned that the Vista is not official on the market and if you need no driver for Vista, you must wait until the Vista will be official released

  • Windows 7 Aero / Glass no effect no more working time

My computer is Windows XP on your main HARD drive. I added another HARD drive and installed Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit), the feature in question worked but I had problems with fuzzy texts and also I can not set the resolution recommended for my monitor.

I downloaded and installed the drivers for my monitor from the manufacturer's website but since it does not solve the blurred fonts, I tried to find the latest drivers for my card through the Device Manager. I noticed that the version of the driver was older (Date of the driver in the course of 2009) that is used by the computer when I boot it Windows XP (driver of 2010). Even if I tried to update, it says that he already has the latest driver for it. I managed to save the display drivers XP uses and updated Windows 7 with her ("disk," method etc.) and I finally got the resolution which is best for my monitor that makes fonts very sharp and any other clear enough. I then installed the ATI Catalyst Control Center (was struggling so he can install properly - missing. INF file, CCC not launch, etc.) but I managed to make it work in the end.

Unfortunately, I lost Aero / glass effect. Troubleshooting (made sure advanced option 'Applies automatically repairs' is checked) gives me the "current video card can support Aero with a driver that is compatible with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM).  Contact the manufacturer of your video card or computer for a WDDM compatible driver. "message and finally the error 'Video card driver doesn't support Aero effects. "I thought it's because the drivers of Windows XP was not intended for Windows 7 I so uninstalled and returned to the former working driver, uninstalled ATI Catalyst Control Center (cleaned all the remains) and reinstalled it but ATI does not find the. INF file so it can't update the drivers. Then, I just reinstalled Windows XP drivers.

    Here are some details:

(After updating the graphics card with the XP ones)

    Adapter type: ATI Radeon X 300/X 550/X 1050 Series

    Driver date: 10/02/2010

    Driver version: 8.593.100.0

Before I updated with drivers that Windows XP uses now, I remember when Aero was still working (but the resolution is bad), the Date of the driver was some time in 2009.  I read about the update of Windows KB2670838 and discovered that I had installed so I uninstalled it but Windows 7 cannot always bring Aero without it. I don't understand why Aero works with a previous version of a driver but not later.

Has anyone met and discovered how fix this problem without having to reinstall the operating system? Or should I really give up Aero and settle for the appropriate monitor resolution?

    Thank you!

    Uninstall the current driver.

Then download from the ATI site: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download on your hard drive.

    Then install.

(Latest version of the driver is 10.2)

  • Windows 7 Aero possible?

A few days ago, I tried the new windows 7 (build) 7000 7000 on workstation version 6.5.1.It works fine, the only thing that I miss is aero...

I see that the last Workstation supports DX 9 .0c now so is possible to activate Aero on it?

My host OS is XP allowing him so hollow remote control or something like that is not possible.

I thought that there was a workaround for vista in the past solution, then maybe also for Beta 1 of windows 7?

I don't expect until the next major version of the workstation or maybe merge, hosted products tend to get new features and then they are put into the company once level material that the kinks were ironed out

Do not forget that it requires a lot of work in virtual hardware drivers for new features working.
