Windows 7 backup error: "backup Windows ignored C:\Users\... because it's on corrupt C:\ drive.»

Hello

I bought a new computer recently with Windows 7 installed and regularly use Windows backup since my purchase with no problems.  However, a couple of days, I tried to backup my system and received a message saying that the backup completed, but some files were ignored.  As soon as the journal view, that's what I find:

Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Documents backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Public\Documents backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Music backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Public\Music backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Pictures backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Public\Pictures backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Videos backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Public\Videos backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\AppData\Roaming backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\AppData\Local backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\AppData\LocalLow backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Contacts backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Desktop backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Downloads backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Favorites backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Links backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.
Backup Windows ignored C:\Users\Jonathan\Saved games as it is on corrupt C:\ drive.
Windows skipped C:\Users\Jonathan\Searches backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.

It seems that Windows Backup jumped basically every valuable piece of data on my PC.  I did a search for answers and it seems that when people have this problem backup Windows still do not know the same libraries (pretend to prove that it is not a problem of material with the HARD drive). and the only suggestion I could find was to run the chkdsk utility, then attempt a backup again.  I have since run the utility chkdsk twice and it found no errors, and I continue to have this problem when you save.

Beyond running the chkdsk utility and reboot for a third time, can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

I think that this is the case because of a virus (incase your pc is not protected or a new threat has developed).

Please install an antivirus.
I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials.Scan all the files and then try again.
Or try freeing up space on the drive you store the backup in the c DRIVE.
or try to move your important files to an external USB key or hard drive and format your pc :)
That will solve almost all your problems.
In case you need help with anything else or this does'nt resolve your problem, mail me or reply to this post of mine.

Well, I didn't not on jelly bean or checking registry before you have the hard drive replaced. My windows product key is on bottom of laptop, but after a few wear some letters are hard to distinguish. Any ideas on what I can do to recover the key. I probably have more than 90% of the letters. There are only 3 letters I can't make out more substiuting I tried the letters that are used with the key. Please tell me that there is something.

    Hello

In these Forums, it is often recommended to use a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see if you can read the numbers of the product key on the label.

Or as one poster suggested, take a photo and enlarge.

You can contact the manufacturer of your laptop, if the operating system has been pre-installed and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a small fee.

The relocation method above does not normally allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

  • Satellite A660 - won't backup as the corrupt C: drive

    Satellite A660

My laptop is a month and I've tried and tried to save, but it fails every time with the following message. What I need to bring to a repairer or is there something I can do to put it right.
Windows skipped C:\Users\UpdatusUser\Documents backup because it is about corrupt C:\ drive.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hey,.

Correctly the HARD disk (drive c :)) has bad sectors and therefore a backup can t be polite.)
Have you also tried other software like Acronis image backup?

You should try to run chkdsk in DOS box. Maybe it can recognize and fix a bad sector.

In the worst cases, your HARD drive needs to be replaced, but A660 is fairly new laptop to an authorized service provider can do it for free.

  • Windows 7 backup error 0X8100002F: backup of ignored files (expected) does not allow the (unexpected) full

    Hi all:

I am backing up my PC to a network folder.
Everything works as expected when the backup - but it FAILS.
I get the 0X8100002F error - and when I look in detail, it is said that \\ML370-FS1\Music has been saved not because it is not a local drive.
It's 100% expected - this folder is in my music library.
This should not cause an ERROR during the backup (as the docs stated clearly that remote files will not be saved).
It must be a successful backup.
Instead - I find myself with a message of daily failure without good reason.
How can I stop Windows 7 backup to report this as an ERROR when the location ignored completely should be excluded from the backup.
As now - my "Last backup" date is never - as this process always fails.
    Thank you
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Method 1:

I suggest you take ownership of the drive that you want to backup to. Try it below the steps to do the same thing:

    a. right-click on the drive.

    b. click Properties , click the Security tab

    c. under the Security tab click the box that involves change

    d. put a box on all the boxes which is under the allow column.

    e. click apply and Ok.

    Method 2:

You can temporarily disable firewalls and verify if the backup is complete. Check out the following link to do the same thing:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:

Exclude files from backup files in the backup settings and then include these files in their original location. To exclude folders in other communities and to include these files in the original location, follow these steps:

    a. in the Control Panel, open the backup and restore.

    b. in the backup section, click change settings.

    (c) in the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.

    d. in the dialog box that you want to save , click Let me chooseand then click Next.

    e. expand the data files, library, expand additional locations, and then click to clear the check boxes folder AppData, Contactsand Research .

    f. expand computers, expand the element of your system drive (for example, expand Local disk (c)), expand users, , and then click to select the checkboxes AppData, Contactsand Research if they exist.

    g. click Nextand then click on Save settings and exit.

    h. in backup and restore, click back up now to perform a new backup. The backup operation should complete without error.

    I hope this helps.

Any help to help solve the problem and remove these files unless they need to be backed up. I tried and failed to find the files. Please note that windows 8 pro had cleaned originally had windows Vista, even I did find something on the error code: error: (the system cannot find the specified file. (0 x 80070002))

    Hey Amer,

You can ignore this error message. You would usually encounter this problem if the Windows Backup tries to back up files in folders LocalLow, Contacts and research and these files are not present on your computer.

Well, you also have an option to create or exclude files missing, listed in the error message.

If you want to exclude this folder then please refer to the following steps.

    (a) in the backup section, click on "change settings".

    (b) in the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.

    (c) in the 'you want to save ' dialog box, click on 'Let me choose ', then click on 'Next '.

    (d) navigate to the user profile folder displayed in the error message and clear the check box next to the folders.

    (e) save and exit.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • Could not start service windows drivers Foundation-User-Mode Driver Framework on the local computer, error 31: a DVICE attached to the system does not work

When I go to start the Service for Windows drivers Foundation I get the following error message, cannot start service window drivers Foundation-User-Mode Driver Framework on local computer, error 31: a device attached to the system is not functioning

I was not able to find an answer in help

Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you can disable the WDF Service.  It will be one less point to start your system and will not not just sitting there working day and night with nothing to do.

On some systems, if WDF is activated, you can begin to see some errors of svchost.exe like this:

Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".

The best solution for this problem is: disable the WDF Service.

    Hi FilippoPosato,

This problem may occur if the Hal.dll and Ntoskrnl.exe files are mismatched.

To resolve this problem, start your computer from the Windows CD, and then upgrade Windows on-site.
