Original title: Upgrade Windows 10

I have windows 7 ultimate which is working very well and I kept getting windows 10 upgrade icon and have posted several times my problem and today I decided to upgrade to windows 10 and after the upgrade as I take what I get and then everything goes haywire and I need to restore repair and finally I am back in my windows 7.

Microsoft can test this problem?

This keeps coming up, and my PC is going MAD!

Hi Trevor,

Thank you for the update.

I would like to inform you that the show direct clean install of Windows 10 will create a problem for the activation of Windows 10. First of all, you can upgrade to Windows 10 and 10 Windows is activated you can then perform a new installation. The error you receive on disk 0 Partition 3 is an operating system that is already installed in this partition.

I suggest to start on your Windows 7 Desktop, then insert the DVD Windows 10 to install and upgrade to Windows 10. Once successfully, you improve and activate Windows 10, you can restart your system and perform a clean Installation of Windows 10.

For reference: How: do a clean install of Windows 10 - Steps proposed by Andre Da Costa(member of the community).

Note: First upgrade to Windows 10 and activate Windows 10 and then perform a clean installation of Windows 10.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

Thank you.

  • Blue screen error: unexpected Kernel Mode trap (win32k.sys)

It was released in March when I was using my Microsoft Word. I had completely rebooted my laptop for three times this blue screen came out three times.

After my laptop was very slow, I mean extremely slow.

It took me about 10 minutes, just to turn on my laptop.

I have therefore to format my Windows 8 myself and so well as news until today.

This blue screen came out again, same error code when I went through the net.

I took it to a computer repair shop, they checked my hardware and said nothing was wrong.

So I wonder if my material was beautiful, that the problems of windows? (fair assumption)

Hopefully I can get a response.

    Thank you.

2 Asus No. software is "necessary". AiCharger, etc., is an utility option included in the CD of the motherboard, or Windows updates optional, which usually cause a lot of problems.

If plant you after following the above, as I said, it's probably a defective processor (or another form of material, but probably processor) and sending in Asus it solved as they will fix it for you will get.

The memory.dmp file showed the involvement of the nvlddmkm.sys, which is the driver of NVIDIA graphics card.

However there may be other involved third-party drivers.

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver.

    Consider doing a «custom installation "driver, then choose"Perform a new installation".»

In addition, there are a few older drivers loaded then system which can be problematic.

I would say to uninstall, at least temporarily, Internet Download Manager, UltraISO, TuneUp Utilities, Gigabyte on / off Charge and Gigabyte EasyTune or Easy Energy Saver that these applications are installing older drivers that may be problematic.

And update drivers, such as audio and LAN drivers, for versions of Windows 8, using the link below for the motherboard - choose 64-bit as operating system Windows 8:

    http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3908#driver

Consider also updating the BIOS as the current version of BIOS seems to be F3 which seems to be several versions behind the current version.

We see a lot of tcpip.sys and some NETIO, .sys calls. It's Microsoft network related calls and routines. Then we come to a DirectX kernel call in a few calls igdkmd32.sys which is the Intel Graphics driver.

That being said, we probably have a 3rd party source (antivirus, firewall, some 3rd party app network) causing conflicts NETBIOS and the need to update the video card drivers.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On one of the many * 7F we have, there are a ton of calls from cfosspeed6.sys which is the

cFosSpeed - The Internet Accelerator driver.

    We also have a bug control REFERENCE_BY_POINTER (18) .

This indicates that the reference of an object count is illegal for the current state of the object.

If we take a look at the call stack:

  • Unexpected kernel mode trap in win8

It's a relatively new PC running on core2duo with 2 GB of ram.

At the beginning I had installed win7 BSOD was very common with a graphic error with a few seconds of hang on the screen I changed the win7 drivers, but it was still very persistent.

Similar problem when I installed win8 times the error of graphic and unexpected kernel mode trap causing the computer to restart.

I'm afraid that it's a hardware problem and not something with the drivers or software that I have installed nothing at the moment except some basic stuff.

A graphical error with a blocking was something like that.

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered.

Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows display driver Vista (R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered. »

This is your directX and simply upgrade to win 8.1 should solve the problem.  You have a video driver for vista era.  I would also like to re - install that. »

  • Windows XP blue screen error message: 0 x 00000024

I keep my pc while it was running chkdsk (Yes, I know now that it was stupid) and since then couldn't make it past the above blue screen error message.

    Read the full error message: Stop: 0 x 00000024 (0x83160AB0, 0 x 0000102, 0 x 00190203, 0 x 00000000)

I have worked with F8, F12 and F2 Setup and managed to do it boot from the CD.  I put in the diagnosis CD and ran the diagnostics for blue screen and hard drive errors - all tests passed.

Then, I changed Setup to boot from the hard disk - but again received the blue screen.  Once back to the prompt, I tried running chkdsk/f and has received no indication of errors.  I tried chkdsk/f/r and can not access the recovery screen (it says it's an invalid order).  I tried to put it in C: > R and f: > R (F is my cd drive).

Help!  How can I get rid of this screen?

You damaged the Windows installation. If you have not saved the data on that hard drive, you may be able to get it back by using Linux Livecd such as Knoppix and copying data to an external hard drive. General information about the use of Knoppix for this are:

You will need a computer with two cd drives, which is a dvd/cd-rw OR a usb thumb drive with enough capacity to store your data, OR a usb/firewire external drive to FAT32 (not NTFS) *. To get the Knoppix, you need a computer with a fast Internet connection and software third engraving. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable cd. Then start with her and she will be able to see the files in Windows. If you use the USB key or an external hard disk, right-click on its icon (on the desktop) to get its properties and uncheck "read only". Then click on it to open it. Note that the mouse action by default in the window manager used by Knoppix (KDE) is a simple click to open instead of double-click traditional MS Windows. If you want to burn CD/DVDs, use the K3b program.

    * My understanding is that you can now write on NTFS from Linux partition. If you wish to do this, Google for instructions.

Once the data is safe, try a repair installation. If it works fine. If this is not the case, do a clean install of Windows.

  • Windows 8 unexpected Kernel Mode trap BSOD (ntoskrnl.exe)

    Hello, I got the blue screen that gives me the error code: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (ntoskrnl.exe). I have had this problem since I got my computer, but it happens that all the other day. I tested my RAM with memtest and everything was good. I also use on all drivers updated. I recently installed "WhoCrashed" hoping to get more information as to what was causing this error. Here's the report;

The DMP was inconclusive pointing to memory.  My gut says it's Symantec.  I would like to do two things.  Run the driver verifier and remove Symantec and use the built in Defender.

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.

  • Motherboard and processor swap yeilds BSOD (blue screen error) in all modes.

Two and 1/2 years, I'm building my own computer using an OEM of Windows Vista disk.

Over the few months that I replaced the card motherboard and CPU on my computer at the main house, this dual boots Linux Ubuntu and Windows Vista.  It was working fine until recently.  The folks at EVGA set to day the jury after the first replacement fizzled when the machine starts up the second time.  I've since upgraded to a new modular power supply and a new processor Intel Quad (Q9300).

Running this configuration I can't log on to windows using my main hard drive, a 500 G SATA.  I am able to choose Safe mode, safe mode with network... etc, but no matter what selection I make results in a brief flash of the BSOD, then my computer restarts. I got to the video screen to read as follows

"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.  If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow these steps.  Check for viruses on your computer.  Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers.  Check your hard drive to ensure that it is properly configured and completed.  Run CHDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.  "Technical information: * STOP: 0x00.

I have virus scanned the disc with two calls from home via Windows Vista and ClamTK via Linux Ubuntu 10.04.  I tried with just the main hard drive connected and the connected IDE as well.  The hard drive seems to be connected correctly and has no problem running Ubuntu Linux in a dual-boot configuration.

I ran CHDSK several once... no problems with SATA cable or he analyzes with a USB adapter with my laptop also on Windows Vista.  I was able to load Windows Vista on a separate hard drive (a former IDE 160 G) and ran from the disk check a couple different time to boot from the installation CD and the 160 g, after 6 scans, no problems were detected.

Yesterday I woke up upward and instead of my computer up-to-date 87 or so updates to build one of the service packs, I was greeted with a copyright message, "an error has occurred.  You can also contact Microsoft by phone to help solve the problem.  «Code: 0xc004e002 Description: the software licensing service reported that the license above store contains inconsistent data.»

I saved all the information in dual boot drive of 500G, it was always perfectly accessible and I used DBAN (of derrick boot and nuke) to refresh the smallest 160G hard drive.  I have reinstalled windows vista and ran the first 80 some updates and refused permission to check my license number.  The 160G hard drive starts and works fine... but it reassures me that I have to present once again the license number.  How can I get a different result than the blue screen of death or violation of copyright?

If she gave you this code you shouldn't have a problem.

Once Windows is activated, you can start one of these utlities to document the product key.
