Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine how to fix this? I bought this with a computer laptop almost 2 years ago.

This popup just started happening today ' today - almost 2 years after I bought this laptop from Best Buy - with Windows 7 installed. I installed as more late last night MS security patches.

A systems Services - probably the Software Protection Service has problems in response to the requests.

This is a rare error message (I remember only see him once before), and it may take some time to solve problems.

The best is to start with probably a base chkdsdsk and sfc...

running CHKDSK and SFC

type in the search box
CMD. EXE
Right-click on the single file that is
Select run as administrator
-the elevated command prompt window should appear
At the command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and press the Enter key
We'll tell you that the drive is locked and the CHKDSK runs the next time he started - press Y and restart. The chkdsk command will take a few hours depending on the size of the disk, so be patient!

Once executed, the command CHKDSK Windows should start normally (possibly after a second auto) - then run the SFC

· You did material new or modifications to the software before the show?

Windows 7 license store may be damaged or unreadable. Please try the steps below to re-create the store.

1. open Internet Explorer.

2. type: %windir%\system32 in the browser's address bar.

3. find the file CMD.exe

4. right click on CMD.exe and select run as administrator.

5. type: net stop sppsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)

6 type: cd windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

7 type: Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat

8 type: net start sppsvc

9 type: slui.exe

10. after a few seconds of activating Windows dialog box will appear. You may need to reactivate and/or re - enter your product key or Activation can occur automatically.

If the steps above do not help, you can call the telephone option again, automated and reactivate.

1. click on start, type slui 4 in the start search box and press ENTER.

2. Select your country.

3. Select the telephone activation option.

Dial toll-free and reactivate Windows.

Your windows is not genuine.

The key of product in use is the infamous Lenovo OEM SLP key blacklisted. This key has been blacklisted before Windows 7 came out and has never been sold.

You will need to buy a full edition of genuine windows or return to windows, your computer comes with that.

Microsoft messages reappear that my Windows is not genuine and it must be re-bought. My copy is authentic and I have the product key, but the MS site telling me there is an error 0X8007000D code when I get it. I've had no problems with this product number works very well in the past. This is the same operation SystemI have had on this computer for the past 6 years, since I bought it all first! Nothing has changed! I had no repairs! There was a Windows Update yesterday and I thought that this could be the problem I did a system restore point before. That did not help.

I remember at one point, it says that an update today could not get through and that my copy of windows is not genuine.

I'm getting pretty annoyed with Microsoft. They tried to push Windows 10 discount on me for months now and I refuse continuously. They tried some devious stuff as if we were trying to tell me again and again that my hard drive is about to fail. I had the drive hard Sentinel and it shows me that my hard drive is 100% excellent health and performance right now, where a week ago, it is 0% and is about to fail. He did it again and again for a year now, ready to fail a week, then the other it is still 100% perfect once, this has happened since MS came out with Win 10 and wanted everyone to download it for FREE!

My system information file says I have Win 7 Home premium and it came from Microsoft, so I don't know what to tell them, but they tell ME that I can't get more updates until I install a new Windows OS.

This is total BS!

How do I stop this and recognize it as the same operating system that it has always been for the last 6 years?

Complain do not solve your problem. This type of problem arises for various reasons including:
1. Malware infestation.
2. Changing or adding a device installed.
3. Corruption of the system.

Hello. After years of good service my hard drive recently bit the dust. I used Acronis to clone the HD and improved to a 1 gb hd to a 2 GB hd. Everything went well for a few months, but now, all of a sudden, I start getting the message window indicating that my version of Windows is not genuine. I read a lot of posts with the same question. I not did something to solve the problem yet, but I downloaded the diagnostic tool and run multiple lines/requests to the command-line posted by Christmas Paton (thank you Christmas - by the way, people, don't pay attention to Andre and do not follow the "Six clicks to...") »). See all the results of my tests below. I see some obvious questions, but I don't know what to do about their... "Incompatible file" and "corrupted file".

So far, Windows continues to operate correctly, but I fear that it will stop eventually.

Regarding the Acronis or any other brand of backup software for this question not not common to see questions (especially the failure to load windows - bootmgr missing message) when it cloning. I prefer to create an Image backup and restore the backup of the image on the new hard drive.

I have a question about this message on my desk to read "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine."?
I bought this Satellite c660 to Qatif in Saudi Arabia and now he's here in the Philippines.
