Windows 7: change the font of the desktop icons?

Hello

I customized the office in light blue color. I find that the police for various programs icons are color of light and shadow behind it. Fonts are not well characterised. Can I know how to change the font of darker color and without shadow?

Thank you

Low

Hi Mr. Low,.

The font of the text icon and a great many other aspects of the appearace of window can be changed to:
Panel-> customize-> color of the window-> Advanced-> icon

Change the font and color.

To remove the shadow forllow the procedure below

A control panel display the value "large icons".

Under control-> system-> system settings panel advanced-> Performance

  • I installed windows 7 and the desktop icons and bar tasks are enormous

    Original title: Windows 7

I installed windows 7 and the desktop icons and bar tasks are enormous, go to Web pages, I have to use the scrollbar at the bottom of page to see the other half of the page - he said could also be a driver problem, but don't know what I'm looking for - someone can help?

    Hello

Yes, well part of the problem from the point of view of Dell is the only "acceptable" operating system for the Office of series 4600 XP. So they have no drivers 'official' for any function of Windows 7!

But first I need more information on the video card. Try this (on the Dell site): 4600 system is supplied either with the built-in car video or a dedicated real card video.  You should know that you got.  Right-click of your mouse on the desktop, click on Properties in the next area, you see.  This will bring you into the display properties.  Now click on settings at the top right of this next area, click Next on the advance .  Now, click on the adapter on the top.  Just below the upper on this last box, you will see your listed video adapter.

You will need this information, regardless of where you get help. My best recommendation is that you go to the community of Dell and after a question here. Someone may have already found one, but there is nothing official since the operating system is not officially supported.

I'm sorry, there is nothing more I can do.

    Kind regards

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

  • font size change the desktop icons

Suddenly, my desktop icons have the image or the text on them reduced to be very small. The background is always the same size, but the stuff on the icon are almost invisible

Right-click on the icon START, and then select Properties. Click the Customize button. Scroll down to almost the bottom. Put a check mark in the use of large icons.

    Was she?
Second options is to right-click on the desktop and select Personalize. Click on display. By default Windows is the smallest value, but you may have this set of medium-sized or large and an update reset default.
    Hope that helps

  • Problems, change the desktop icons

I have a MacBook Air from mid-2013 & I'm under OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.1.  I wanted to upload a few new icons for my office & final instructions told me to find the folder I wanted to change in the Finder, after downloading (at first I tried ics icons, then NCIS icons) the icons I wanted to use. He explained then click the folder you want to edit and click on 'Get info '.  Then I was to copy the new icon & then go back to the folder in the finder and in the upper left corner was a small blue folder, click on it until he described in blue & then click on paste. Did not work. Now instead of a blue folder, I have an icon White w / the 'preview icon"on it & letters ICO.  If I use an ics icon I get the same thing, but it has JPEG on it. Help, please! Thank you.

You need to update to OS X 10.11.6.

    Hello Ralph,.

    Thank you for your response.

You are right on the point that Windows 8 maintenance troubleshooting system check and remove broken, outdated and desktop icons not used your computer to make the functioning of your computer. Maintenance of Windows system sometimes automatically runs with your permission if it detects the system problems due to these out-of-date items on your computer. You can also schedule maintenance system to run and scan your computer at regular intervals.

  • Cannot change the font color on the desktop icons

I am running windows vista. I can't change the font as in windows xp. No matter if the background is dark or the police is always black... Help!

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in Microsoft Answers.

    I apologise for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, you cannot change the font color of desktop.

Because desktop wallpaper images have different colors, it is easy for the colors of unreadable fonts if they are on top of the same color in a background image to display. For example, a black font on top a dark part of the background image or a white font on a white part of a background image.

The desktop icon fonts are dynamic and show white on dark background and change in white with a shadow effect black on a light background.

In previous versions of Windows, it did not matter what color you chose to fund policies, some would still make invisible because of the background color of a desktop wallpaper. The user was constantly moving icons around the desktop computer to another colorful area where the police could be read. This was the source of a large number of complaints from users asking for a policy that was still visible, regardless of the color that was behind the police.

However, you can change the theme and see if that helps:
