Windows 7 deskjet 5652 on network

I have a deskjet 5652 printer connected via usb to a windows xp computer.

I have a windows 7 windows xp wireless computer networking.

I want to share the printer with windows computer 7.

I have shared the printer and can see the printer on the network, but I get an error message - drivers cannot be found.

I used the hp print and scan doctor telling me to connect the printer to the computer windows 7 via usb first to extract and install the drivers for windows 7 OS.

What I did, but how you can spot Windows OS printer drivers once re, the printer is connected to the windows xp computer

Hi Jason,

Thank you for your help. I managed on the basis to solve the problem by following these steps.

I installed the printer deskjet 990c on the computer windows XP windows drivers (even if the printer is a deskjet 5652.

I shared the printer deskjet 990c on the network. I then installed the printer Deskjet 990c by adding a network printer on the computer windows 7. It extracted the drivers of 990c and the problem is solved. I am now able to print from my computer windows 7, fool the computer on which it is printing to the printer of 990c although it is in fact the 5652 printer printing.

  • DeskJet 5652 under Windows 7 - scalling useless when using autoduplexer

    Hello

I am very disappointed about Windows 7 drivers for DeskJet 5652 printer. Drivers have some bugs:

When I printed the document on both sides of the paper (with automatic duplex unit) printer do some page scalling (it increases the margins at the top and bottom of the page) - impression seems strange because all that the page is a bit shorter, also fonts like Times New Roman, Arial, etc looks like... strange, different because of this unnecessary scalling. It only happens when I use the auto duplexer.

I tried to fix it myself. I tried to change the print processor in the settings of the printer of hpzppwn7 to winprint and got partial success - printer doesn't no matter what scalling (using the duplexer) but something else does not-number of copies. When I change the number of copies from 1 to i. e. 3 in the windows printer window and also in the advanced drivers tab - it does not print only one copy. This parameter is ignored in winprint.

Please fix these problems, because this printer is useless in Windows 7... It is very unfortunate, it is not that old!

You plan out an another Windows 7 drivers for this printer? Maybe some fix?

Greetings and thanks for your help!

    * PrintableOrigin: PAIR (150, 83)
    * CursorOrigin: PAIR (150, 83)

Can you explain these three parameters: PrintableArea, PrintableOrigin, and CursorOrigin? What do these numbers mean?

I think that the solution to my problem is in these numbers...

    What do you think?

You have the possibility to compare these numbers with HP Windows XP drivers?

I don't have access to the Windows XP driver settings, they are not as "readable" as Vista or Windows 7 gpd files.  The above figures are the page dimensions in units of 1/1200 ".  The top left of the page is (0,0).  In the example above the beginning of the printable area is 150 (83) or 0.125 "from left edge and 0.07" down from the top.  The lower edge of the printable area is the printable origin as well as the printable area.  "This ends (13269 + 83) / 1200 or 11,13", leaving a margin of 0.57 down "on A4 size paper.  Sounds a bit heavy, I think 0.46 "the bottom margin would be satisfactory.

The printible origin is the upper-left corner of the area to print in portrait mode, it would be the top right of the page if printing landscape.

If you want to "tweak" the DPG file I suggest to take a glance at the instructions to install the patch Vista Duplex printing here. Basically, you want to make a copy of the DPG file and make the necessary changes.  Then you will need to open an administrative command prompt, rename the original gpd file for backup and a copy of the new file.  You will need to stop the spooler, delete all the hp*.bud files, then restart the spooler.  This will cause the DPG file to read and bud files to regenerate.  The number you want to change would be the second number in the pair of the printable area.  You might try to increase the number of courses that move the margin from the bottom to the low 0.09 ", leaving a margin of 0.46 108 lower."  You can also experiment with other numbers, but at some point, you will hit the physical limit of the size of the paper.

  • W7 driver for deskjet 5652 with auto duplxer

    Hello

Our PC have been updated with W7, and the driver generic does not reconise that the printer, a Deskjet 5652 has a duplexer car attached. I installed the drivers from the disc that came with the machine, and while the printer properties now allow you to select two-sided printing, the printer does not really work the task. As a work of art on documents, whether a shape or clipart images do not print the document. How can I get the required software / driver that solves these problems? It's crazy to expect customers to empty a perfectly good printer to buy a compatible new!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

First of all, be sure to unplug the printer and uninstall all incompatible software installed from the disk provided with the machine.

You can remove the software installed via Control Panel > programs and features > uninstall a program and then restart your PC.

Enter the control panel > devices and printers.

    Click Add a printer.

    Select a local printer.

Leave the default selection and click Next.

Under the list of printers, click Windows Update .

Allow several minutes (it may take some time) until the Printers list if poster again, then put an end to the addition of a window of the printer.

Plug in the printer and wait until the device appears under printers.

Right-click the printer icon, and then click printer properties.
    Click the device settings tab.
In Duplex Automatic Two-Sided accessory installed and click OK to save the change.

Automatic duplex printing should now available.

Please let me know of any problems,
    Shlomi

If it works in Windows safe mode, then you have a problem with other software, maybe a security software or a system driver that runs on your computer.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    Hi Scottid2,

    1. do you receive error messages when you access the Windows XP system?

    2. What is the password being set by Dell?

You can check in the Windows 7 system if the password protected sharing is enabled. When protected by password sharing is enabled, people using other computers on your network cannot access your shared folders or printers unless they have a user account on your computer.

You can turn off password protected sharing and check if it helps.

  • Issues with Dell desktop computer wireless and D-Link wireless network card. Only able to get wireless access by checking "Use Windows to configure my wireless network". This kind of file sharing impossible.

original title: can't see the computer on wireless internet!

I hope that's not too much detail, but I would like that the sequence of events to be clear...

I have a Dell desktop computer that's probably six or seven years now.  It did not come with a wireless card, so I bought a DLink router and combo card wireless, install both with the DLink software.  It works beautifully.

Later, we through my rep AT & T DSL, I got a Motorola modem/router with wireless capabilities.  I had plugged directly on my computer Dell desktop and moved to a Dell laptop DLink wireless receiver.  No problems.

The Dell laptop is dead and the DLink receiver has not been used for a long time.  Family of my daughter moved to our place, and I have connected his desktop computers and laptop to wireless internet, using the Windows Connection Wizard.  Still no problem.

I got a new ASUS laptop, I also linked using the Windows Wizard.  STILL no problem.

Now, here's the problem comes.  I moved the Dell desktop computer, connected the DLink wireless receiver to it and I am able to get wireless access ONLY when I go into the properties of PC, click the wireless networks tab and check the "use Windows to configure my wireless network" box.  Then I can connect correctly, but I don't see this computer on my wireless network.  Bad luck... because I want to be able to access share files.  When I try to connect using different assistants of Windows, I get a message to the effect that, if I used another software to connect to the program, I can't use the Windows Wizard.

So, what can I do to remove the original configuration of DLink completely and to connect to my wireless network using the wizards in Windows?  I uninstalled the software of DLink, but it seems to have no effect at all.

BTW, Dell desktop computer is running XP, office computer of my daughter is running VISTA, and two laptops are equipped with Windows 7.  I can see all the computers on the network with the exception of the original Dell desktop computer wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I have a Netgear WG111T USB wireless adapter which works fine on my other PC / laptop (XP & Vista, both 32-bit), but I can't make it work on my Vista x 64 PC.

  • WINDOWS CANNOT FIND ANY ADDITIONAL NETWORK (DIAL-UP AND VPN) OTHER THAN THE WIRELESS NETWORK

ehmm I just installed nokia 6600 pc suite on my computer so I can access the internet on my computer through the usb cable. Installation and drivers have been installed correctly. I can access the internet on the handset but when trying to connect to the internet via USB with the computer "I get a message that windows cannot find any additional network." Its really disturbing that I can do to fix this. Can someone help me please.

Even if a USB device, it does not create a new network connection for you.  I fear also that you use a regular USB cable - those connections often require a crossover cable (but more on that later and I guess it should work it is how it is advertised).  Go to start / Control Panel / Network and sharing center / set up a connection or network / and choose the first option (you can also check the main page to see if the connection is listed but I doubt it).  Choose to set up a new connection and follow the instructions - ensuring that you enter the correct settings when it is required.  You should perhaps install device drivers, firmware and or software for the device to work properly - read the installation mode (and call technical assistance from Nokia to help you put in place - they know more about what we do and should be happy to guide you through the process and even to set the settings on your computer until you log - that's what I would do in your before circumstane even of) ask for help here).

To start / Control Panel / Device Manager and check all the new drivers (double clck on them) to confirm that they say that they do not work properly.  Go to start / Control Panel / Add Haedware and have the system check new hardware devices - if it finds, install them (it is perhaps what is missing in this process).

I hope this helps.  If nothiing suggested I bring, don't hesitate not to contact Nokia for assistance - I'm sure they'll have you place and operate at any time.  Keep me in the loop.
