Type "192.168.1.1" in the address text box and press "enter." This IP address is the default value for a Linksys router. If you have reprogrammed the router to have a different IP address, enter your IP address instead.

Hey Sparky9404
You can try a system restore and a layout of a disc repair service
1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Windows Vista
Using the F8 method:
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
- Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
- Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
- To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
- Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
If that does not read this information
the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
Here's how to use startup repair system restore command prompt, etc. to bleepingcomputers link below
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start
It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu
Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order
and if all else fails and you need to reinstall vista are the normal methods for computers preinstalled vista portable
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send vista recovery discs
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence

Hello
I have a PC desktop HPE-170 a current running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, which has been installed on the machine by the store where I bought it. It has been properly activated and has worked very well for 18 months or more.
The other day it decided to not start and a computer savvy friend corrected the problem by removing the RAM memory cards, clean the gold plated connectors and re - insert the. This fixes the problem and it started again.
Today I received a message on the computer of Microsoft saying "your copy of Windows is not genuine" and he invited me to "solve online. Well, click on the 'My Computer' icon showed me that windows was still active.
By clicking on the "solve Online" link took me to a validation page, where after she tried to validation, it says "The Validation failed" and advised me to buy another copy of Windows 7 HP for AUD $149. Gee, thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I clicked on cancel and the non-genuine message has not yet reappeared.
I also found now that Windows Update doesn't work that way.
I rang MS that says that I need the Windows 7 Setup disk. When I said that I don't have one, they advised me to ring HP. I didn't have time to complete the phone call from HP, but I believe that HP wants me to reset the system to factory with them State guide me by phone.
I have a genuine copy of Windows, a product key, and it shows as activated. From what I understand the system think that I tried to put my copy of Windows 7 on a new computer or similar? I'm not sure.
Is it really difficult to get the system works just like before?
Thanks for the reply.
I'm afraid I don't understand your instructions. I think that you are a fair way waiting for me in the issues of tech savvy.
I think I have stumbled upon something here; http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02219204
Download and update this driver seemed to do Windows Update includes itself.
I can now go here; realwww.microsoft.com/ /validate/ and he says: "Welcome to Windows".
I hope I now get no more fake messages on my OS Windows is non-genuine.
I'll see what happens tomorrow.
Last update 18/7: seems to be fixed, no more problems.

Windows Update does not work after restoring the system
HP Compaq 6000 Pro, bought in early 2011. Windows 7 32 bit. I recently did a factory restore to return to a clean system using factory restore partition. The restoration seems complete ok, and I have a Windows 7 clean and functional configuration.
However, the Update window will not work (and of course, it is now quite an old installation of Windows 7) it comes up with the Red Cross and the message "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running." Other notable issues that may or may not be related are: Windows Defender won't start not (0 x 80070564). HP Support Assistant reports it needs to update, but the update fails (because then it just says: it should be updated again)
What I've tried so far:
Verified that the BITS and the WU services are both actually run
Uninstalled the McAfee antivirus software
Tried to install Windows 7 SP1 directly (happens with "catastrophic failure")
Tried Windows Update (wusa.exe) stand-alone installation / WU Readiness tool-fail (Oxc8000247)
MS difficulty he said Troubleshooter it corrects problems, but nothing changes later
(In short, tried all suggestions from MS support)
It drives me crazy - any help will be appreciated!
ISO should work, just be sure to download the version of Pro 32-bit.

He wants a place on the header of every page of his Web site where he can post his latest information in real time every day. If he had his way, it would look like a strip of tickets transiting via the header of each page. I was going to include it in the design of the master page header, so all that he would have to do is update the copy on the master and it would update the header of each page. But in the Assembly browser does not work on master pages.
Is there a way to do this? Even if it's an a widget that has been done by another Member of the community of Muse?
Thank you.
By BC you can change the template or page that would change the display, but if the new site is updated to Muse then he would cancel the change.
Thank you

Windows 7 does not start & cannot access the advanced boot options
Ive a 4Yr old windows 7 computer acer laptop, on start-up I get black screen saying:

I don't know what else to do.Thanks in advance.Hello
There are normally 3 possible reasons of this error you have.
1 BIOS Boot Oder set to Network Boot: BIOS settings to check the boot order.
Check the boot sequence, if possible and make sure that HD is set to 1 in the boot order
2. check the cable connections between the motherboard and the hard disk to ensure that they are not loose
3. doesn't have a hard drive.
Test the hard drive.
Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > search your computer specifications > know brand of hard drive > access the Hard Drive manufacturer's Web site > find and download hard drive Diagnostic software and make a record of start of it on the computer that you use to get here, following their instructions > test your hard drive to see if it has failed.
And you can also use this method to test your hard drive:
"SeaTools for DOS.

See you soon.

address bar in Windows explore does not accept changes (CLOSED)
My address bar stopped responding to paste... everything what I paste or type is quickly replaced by the address of previous folder
I tried to re-opening and closing the file. I also ran SFC. I use Windows XP SP3.
CLOSED: I used the SFC, REBOOT with SFC/REVERT... neither seems to help. Access to a network drive. That seems to fix the problem. COME ON MAN! How to start these little glitches.
Anyhoo... the problem seems to be fixed... for now (but what harm Pépin's hiding in the closet? :)
I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.
You have probably read the two last sentences, but thanks for your suggestions.

Windows 7 does not start directly on the desktop
Hi guys,.
Need your help on this one... .my computer runs windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, I just installed VMware workstation 7.1. Problem is this
Before installation of VMware, when I turn on my computer, it starts directly on the desktop but now it starts until the windows login screen where I choose me as the user (Administrator) after having chosen only then it opens a session on the desktop. Please, keep in mind, there is only 1 user account created for this computer and it's me... what could be the problem? I don't want that... I want windows to load directly on my desk after turning on my computer.
I didn't mingle with the settings under VMware before asking you guys... as I am a first time user of VMware.
Would appreciate any help a little. Thank you
Workstation creates a user account for its own use. Even if this account is hidden (that is why you don't see on the login screen), it always results in that there is more than one account is activated, which in turn disables the automatic connect feature. You can reactivate autologinby following the instructions here:

I was too tired of Adobe and too often updates security etc.
If I traded in open source Sumatra PDF instead.
It was there of loong, but then I got an OfficeJet 6310 and now scans much paper in PDF files, which works very well (if the value of the resolution is less than 300 dpi), except that no image of the thumbnail is created! It's embarrassing because I like sail to explore using the prior view of thumbnails.
I don't like the idea of return to Adobe PDF Reader, then I ask you out there if anyone has an idea where the problem is maybe?
Thanks in advance
Peter
Well, since no one has replied, I started to experiment.
I have re-installed Adobe Reader (sighh) again and found that the registry has been added:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{49400A7C-81A8-4F52-8CCE-D54739EE87EC} Adobe PDF Preview Handler AppID {5D238751-7E51-4F24-9E7D-93C58881B20B} DisplayName @"C:\Programmer\Reader\pdfprevhndlrshim.exe",-101
There is therefore, seems to add some sort of "plug-in" for MS Explorer, which can act on the creation of tile and similar.
Now my wife can use the freeware of Xplorer2 fancy, and it will beautifully preview PDFs in navigating the file system.
So until a fancy OpenSource community finds interesting to build this similar functionality, I'll stick with Adobe, so my wife just to navigate its abundant PDF files.
Hope this tip can be useful for some of you.
/ Peter
