Windows 7 does not recognize usb 6221

Hello

I had a request (more the whole package with DAQmx and Runtime) in Labview that is deployed on more than one PC. So far, it works great on the PC with Windows XP.

Now, I have to install the same application on a PC with Win7. The problem is that the LabView can not recognize the USB6221 Council.

In the Windows Device Manager the jury is there, but LabView sees nothing. Also, if I check in measurement and automation, I don't see the jury. I have installed and reinstalled the whole software but no results.

Does anzbody had the same experience or someone could give me some advice?

Thank you

Paul

Dear Pauline,

There are some factors to take into account while porting on windows platform 7. As far as I know, only the software labview 2009 are fully compatiable with windows 7.

Which means a move to windows 7, you will need the following.

(i) the runtime Labview (Labview 2009)

(II) any compatiable (DAQ, DAQmx) drivers with windows 7.

(III) created by labview 2009 exe.

The last time, I also face similar problems. I build the exe in windows Xp (Labview 8.6) platform and I can ship to the Vista and windows Xp platform. However when I port the exe for windows platform 7, I also can't operate well after many trials.

Finally, I upgrade to Labview 2009 and compile the exe under windows platform 7. Send this exe with the lastest drivers (drivers for windows 7) and my exe works well for all platforms (XP, Vista and windows 7) now.

Maybe it's something you love to try.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize USB devices. Have no system access keyboard or mouse.

    Separated from this thread.

It is a question.  I have a Windows 7 laptop.  It has three USB ports.  They always worked perfectly.  Today, one of them stopped: Port_ #0001.Hub_ #0002

A sign of error says: "unrecognized usb device".  Troubleshooting, said that there no problem but under properties of the device, he says that Windows has turned off because it has detected a problem (Code 43).  I tried to plug in several things: camera, various readers flash, mouse, etc. They all used to work properly until today.  Now, it's just a dead port.

    Hi Seiberte,

Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums. I appreciate all the steps you tried to solve the problem.

What is the brand and model of the computer?

A device driver has notified the operating system that the device failed. This situation can occur if the peripheral equipment fails or if the device driver fails.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps.

    1. To open Device Manager, click Start, click files, and research programsand type Device Manager. A list of the available items will appear above the search box; Click on Device Manager. Device Manager opens with the name of your computer to the top and a list of the devices installed on your computer under the name of your computer.
    2. Locate the device in the list of devices, right-click on the device and then click Uninstall. When a warning message that you uninstall a device in your system, click OK. Device Manager uninstall the device.
    3. Right click on the name of your computer in the Device Manager, then click on Search the hardware changes. Device Manager scan your system and reinstall your device automatically.
    4. Right click on the device, and then click Properties. The general of the device, in the State of the device Properties dialog box tab, you should see the message this device does not work correctly.

If the steps above do not solve problems with the device and the device is an external drive, such as an external hard drive or USB flash drive, use the icon of the taskbar to safely eject the device, and then disconnect the device from the computer. For devices that use AC power, unplug the unit from the wall outlet or the power strip, wait 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Turn on the switch of the device and then plug it into your computer. If the system includes a driver diskette, ensure that you have at hand to install device drivers; otherwise, Windows should automatically locate the appropriate drivers and install them.

    Hello Graboots,

Thank you for your message.  You can plug your printer on another computer, in order to exclude the possibility that the problem lies in the printer?  You can try using a different cable, for this rule as well.  Since it is a question of recognition, we remove the external devices before software troubleshooting.  Do you get anything when you plug the printer (ie. a tinkle of connection)?  Please let us know, we are looking forward to hear back on your part.

Make sure that Windows is updated appropriately that there have been several USB updates.

1 check that the driver letters for them, for a player, if the drive of the default drive letter is changed, what is happening.
Mine was h: I added a device that took H: and the player stopped. So I put it back to H: and the other
device to J: and everything worked again. If necessary start - type in the area of research-> disk management find top
-Right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN

Don't forget to remember the MP3 must be set to the PSG to sync with WMP, and meteorological service of Canada to copy and delete files
    and update the firmware.

If no joy follow these steps:

You may need a powered hub. (all the USB ports on your computer are not powered, often only 2)

    Try these:

    Make a Restore Point

Control Panel - Device Manager - click in the empty area - VIEW - show hidden devices

Here, your devices are the MP3 player.

Now look everywhere EXCEPT the USB controllers for your devices (cannot be found) and if you find
It RIGHT CLICK and UNINSTALL all.

now go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers in the category, but the category itself.

    APPLY/OK

    RESET

This refresh battery USB and hopefully it will allow the unit to install. (You may need a powered hub)

Here is the similar procedure under XP, Vista is the same, except that we need clear specific devices, as appropriate.
