Windows 7 freeze after startup UEFI due to SSD
It's a gel when installing 64-bit Windows 7 loading disk.sys during the UEFI boot.
According to assistance online Intel (https://communities.intel.com/message/206067):
+ "Windows 7 Setup has a problem of detection of Toshiba SSD +.
* ATA THNSNH25 SCSI Disk Device (238 GB) TOSHIBA hard drive *.
Is there something to do which would make the installer of Windows 7 loader to work with the SSD drive?
I read the discussion on the page of community from Intel.
Looks like you already tried all possible solutions to install Win 7.
Looks like that Win 8 can be installed correctly, but only Win 7 isn't possible.
Not very well why this isn't possible, but his problems of SSD drive, you should try another SSD disk.
Maybe it's a compatibility problem between the controller and a SSD drive.

Windows 7 freezes after the password entered
It is a windows 7 Compaq Presario laptop. It freezes immediately after the entry of the password. It crashes in safe mode as well. When I go to command Mode need me to network mode so I can't run all the tests. The fan had run hard before, but I don't think that is the main question. I could install a new hard drive but I don't have an operating system. I expect to get out of this without spending too much money

7.15 Skype on Windows Vista freezes on startup
I've updated to Skype latest version 7.14 and 7.15 on my Windows Vista and after this update, Skype starts ever upward. Even if he starts, he ends up Skype closes with a problem. Completely uninstalled and resinstalled, checked the updates of windows, then all the FAQ, but not luck.
After a session with an agent of Skype screen sharing and proving that this problem only occurs with the recent version, he was able to recognize this bug with 7.14 + version. I have download the old version and it started to work very well. Today, when I've updated my Skype to 7.17.0.105 version on Windows Vista, looks like Microsoft/Skype has listened to the bug report and have it fixed! Hooray! Thank you, dear friends. In addition, it seems they have fixed another bug where we sign out of Skype, it took too much time to finally get back to the login screen and has hosted the Windows machine during this process. Double Kudos to the team for fixing this loooooooooooooooooooooong pending correction of problem!

HP G62 laptop computer: laptop freezes after startup
After starting my laptop freezes. How long after starting varies. Sometimes it will freeze after only a few minutes. Sometimes it can be operational for an hour or two. Want to know how to fix this.
Tested hard drive and the Long DST failed. Has given an ID of the failure of QAGCHR-5GH847-XDOO3A-61AKO3. Product ID is XHO66UA #ABA.
Hello
Error code 24 characters is a failure of the entire test (DST) disk Self and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced. This is also consistent with the freezing issues you describe.
If you want a guide on replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.
Kind regards

Windows Vista freezing after installing Service Pack 2
Yesterday, I downloaded the Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Now, 10 minutes after turning on my computer, my internet browser and all other open windows will be freezes and I have to manually turn off the computer. I was forced to repeat this cycle about 10 times already. I tried the system restore, but it was a mistake not identified, so that the system could not be restored successfully. I also tried to uninstall the Service Pack, but that no longer works. Help, please.

Windows 7 freezes after the awakening of the screen saver.
Windows 7 has recently been gel after the awakening of the screen saver that works all night. This does not happen after shorter periods, to be in screen saver mode.
I use a (empty) delivered screensaver. When he wakes up I can open the Control Panel, but I can't open anything else. If I try to open a Web browser first browser does not open and I can't open the Panel configuration or any other application. I can't even restart the computer without hitting the power button.
This is a new Windows machine and it worked fine for several months. It is a series of of CM5571 ASUS desktop PCs. Pentium E5400 Dual Core CPU. 6 GB of ram 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.
In the event logs, I see errors repeated for SideBySide and volmgr.
My advice is that you should update the BIOS and motherboard drivers:
http://support.ASUS.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
Have you tried updating the BIOS yet? 'freeze upwards after the awakening of the screen saver'-c' is very similar to a problem faced by Vista users with motherboards Asus 2/3 years ago:
Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell

Hello
I have a G62 which keeps freezing minutes after the start. After reading the forums, I ran the HP SMART Check and on the Test drive , I got the following response
Smart Check: spent
DST short: failure
Failure ID: Q4G5W2-5AR71F-9XL03F-60R003
Product ID: XF332EA ~ ABU
HARD drive
I have Windows 7 64-bit o/s
Can someone please help
Hi George,.
You will need to use your recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system to a new disk - this is described in the document of HP here.
If you do not have your recovery discs, you can order a replacement set. Looking at the model number of the laptop, I guess you live in the United Kingdom - if that is correct, you will need to use the 3rd party on the link below.
For the existing personal data, you can have the existing drive, your best chance of data recovery would be to use the services of a company that specializes in data retreival, but it is a fairly expensive to borrow road.
Another option, you can try (and much cheaper) would be to remove the HARD disk space, in an external enclosure - an example of what you need is on the link below - connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.
Best regards
