Windows 7 freezes all the time

Constantly crashes any program I am or what I do. Freezes when it is sitting idle. I just bought a Sony VPC F11PFX/H. 64 bit. I use MS Office Enterprise 2007 and Windows 7. Help.

Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER
on this machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause
strange problems).

----------------------------------------------------

Follow these steps:

Try these to erase corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Start - type this in the search box-> find COMMAND at the top and RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Enter this at the command prompt - sfc/scannow

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Why my system freezes all the time I play a game?

    From: Xyptyk

    Hello group.

A friend has recently set up my new system, using Windows Vista Home Premium OEM 64 bit OS about two weeks ago. The pieces of others of interest are: core 2 duo E6850 processor; 4 GB OF RAM; ASUS Maximus Formula MB; NVIDIA GForce 8800GT video card and I use the onboard sound of the mother board.

My friend has built this system and installed the operating system. Now, the system will freeze for several different tasks. While downloading files from a driver update site, (NVIDIA) I clicked the menu start, the system froze. I play the games, LoTRO, Call of Duty, Crysis, Battlefield2 and 2142. Most of the time that these games freezes while I connect, at other times, they will just restart the system or very rarely they will crash back to the desktop.

The latest drivers and the windows have been installed and reinstalled and downloaded from their respective sites. Still, I'm having this problem.  I spent the last two days, through the forums looking for problems and similar responses here. A lot of information is out there, unfortunately no solution to my problem.

None of the antivirus programs are installed, the measures of security that come with Vista running. Oh, and Microsoft only supports their product chat, telephone or electronic mail unless I pay them.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

    Thom.

    From: Andy [YaYa]

This is because you have installed the Windows OEM, the OEM versions are supported by people who sell OEM software. If you wanted the support of Microsoft, you bought the full retail version. Yes, you saved money on Vista, but now that you're on your own because the one that you bought the software from probably isn't a group of support for Windows Vista. Next time buy the COMMERCIAL version, unless the person you bought the

Software OEM has support, in which case that it would be installed the software for you and you charged as appropriate, in which case you would have been better off buying at RETAIL!

Another drawback of OEM is that if ever, you upgrade your PC hardware, Microsoft does not legally have to re - activate your software. OEM software is usually installed on a system, and the license applies only to the hardware/software.

A retail license you can uninstall and reinstall on a new computer, if you wish, and you are always covered. Given OS MS usually last5-10 years, you'll have to buy another copy of Vista in 2-3 years, where a touch of detail will last the lifetime of the product.

Not a lot of information to continue, but if 'your friend' knows anything on computer building (MCBS is, since he sells you an OEM operating system) while it should probably check all connections for you ensure that nothing is short-circuit (mobo touch the metal, not inserted correctly etc expansion cards)., run the PC Diagnostics on hardware , looks like there is some hardware fails on your system.

Something is not installed correctly, something is damaged, bad RAM, CPU, not getting don't not properly cooled, videocard overheating/dying, OS does not correctly installed, the drivers works do not correctly, etc..

At this point, your proposal is as good as mine. If I saw the system in action, I could probably find the problem. For you, I'll not charge $75 / hr.

    It is low cost.

You can also try Geek Squad, take your system at any Best Buy, if it boots into Windows, they will check your operating system on free, but Advanced Diagnostics and repair runs $199 plus the cost of any material that needs to be replaced.

Dude good luck. Next time buy retail hardware AND software (Microsoft does not want to blackmail, they run a business, there is a difference, but not much), OEM is intended for people who know what they are doing and can solve their own problems or don't mind paying get their problems fixed. In the long term, you lose more money than you save.

  • activation of printing caused wireless printer HP Multifunction Pro L8770 to freeze all the time.

Product: Range of HP Pro L8770 multifunctional printers

    Operating system: Windows Vista

No error message; the printer display screen froze after that I enabled printing on a printer wireless by entering the password for my Internet.

Now, the wireless on the front panel light shows a blue light, but printer is therefore more receptive to requests from the computer (printing, scanning, etc.), and all the keys on the front panel of the printer is no longer arouse a reaction.

Unplug the printer power cord then by him restarting does not reset the problem.

I have no way to disable wireless printing.

    HELP please.

    Thank you.

    Alseikhan

You will need to perform a partial reset to try to put the printer back to factory settings.

    To make a partial reset:

    1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. Pull the power cord to the rear.
    3. Pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. Reconnect the power cord, but do not connect the printer.
    6. Press and hold the 3 and # buttons on the printer.
    7. While maintaining the 3 and # buttons, plug in the printer.
    8. As soon as you see lights up, release the buttons.

That should put everything back at the factory.  Once you have done and get the printer up, be sure to update the firmware.  The firmware update, you can try installing wireless if you wish.  It should fix what caused the problem, and if it isn't, you have the steps for a partial reset to fix.

My MacBook is in the repair shop, so for now I use my PC. I reinstalled Windows and Dreamweaver loaded on it. I have a subscription to creative cloud and running Dreamweaver version Build 12.2 6006. However, Dreamweaver freezes constantly. I could open a file, or simply type and it will get locked. It is certainly not my PC, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 SP1 (all updates), Intel processor i5 @ 3.20 GHz, 8GBs of RAM. The only thing I could think of would be my hard drive? Although other programs are not lead the struggle bus as Dreamweaver was.

  • My downloaded (from iTunes) and bought movie took forever to download and freezes all the time.  How can I stop this?

My iTunes purchased movie took forever to download, and when I play it, it freezes constantly.  Help!

    Hi there awhitley58,

If I understand you try to play a movie that you downloaded but it stops time return inconsistent. I would say first to start in safe mode to clear some system-level caches and perform a disk check and repair if necessary:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If not do play correctly, and no other videos you have downloaded in the past are affected, I'd say delete the file and download it again. Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • Windows XP restarts all the time; does not start mode safe mode and last known Configuration does not work either

Hello! Recently, I installed Wubiand appreciates well. However, a few days ago, when I tried to boot XP on my netbook (EEE PC 1005hab), it restarts just constantly return to the selection screen of the BONES. I tried Safe Mode and last good Configuration known with anything will do. What should I do now? Ubuntu has not stopped working suddenly, so I can't access my data.

I don't have to have a Windows XP CD, there is something weird Asus recovery instead. In addition, it is a netbook so I don't have an optical drive to run the recovery CD. I'm doing a Livecd of Linux USB so I can back up my data... but I can do but reinstall at this point?

    Thank you.

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD drive (even an external).

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu, it has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start pressing the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restarts on system failure, and then select it.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

If you have tried to uninstall in safe mode, it's normal that you can not! If it happens in normal mode then is another problem! So where have you tried to uninstall?

If this has happened in normal mode is done so that you do not disable the service for her!

on the pilot, there is nothing to download just right-click on it in the device manager then choose either update or right click Choose temptation and then on the driver tab click on roll back driver button if it is available! or alternatively unistall it... then restart normal then windows automatically install driver again.

  • After you run the workflow in minor data, then the window "start" made its appearance all the time and don't can't stop it

I installed the oracle11g and configured the SQL Developer minor and the data correctly, but when I run a workflow, the window 'departure' appears all the time, can't walk in the phase of runing and also can not stop. For now, the only thing I can do is to kill the program in the Windows operating system.

Sometimes, when I kill the program and restart and restart run the workflow, it may be normal.

So, I would like to know why and how to sovle it?

Yes, there is a simple solution:

"To ensure that Workflow tasks Data Miner is visible in your user interface".

It is the window that displays the list of workflows that were run during the last day, and also all workflows running active and their completion percentage.

If this window is visible, if it is not blocked from viewing by another tab, then you will avoid your problem.
If you do not see the window tasks of Workflow Data Miner at all, then go to the menu: Tools-> Data Miner-> make it Visible.

That should it appears in your user interface, then you should just make sure that it is fully visible.

SQL Dev 4.0 final version will be released soon, it will be difficult, so this problem is no longer a problem.
