Windows 7 - freezing problems
Hi all
For the last few months that we live a question with different Windows 7 machines in our office.
The issue is not limited to a specific machine, as it was experienced across many HP Z600, Z620, HP HP Elite desktop 800 G1
Question:
Computer hangs on one of the following
1 log on after a long inactivity
2. close the attempt
3. stop the attempt
4. in some cases, Google Chrome / Internet Explorer / Firefox does not open
5. in some cases users can access the shared network drives
6. in some cases, I see several instances of liveupdate (Symantec) in the Task Manager
Resolution:
The only way to recover from this is to force the reboot of the computer. After which the computer would be fine for a few days before displaying the same behavior.
Symptoms:
After a few attempts to see what's going on I was able to see next.
Until computers are completely unusable / before we need to force them to restart, Event Viewer displays a long chain of event ID 10023
The Protocol host process xxxxx has failed and is underway by the force end {filter host process xxxxx}.
Can someone please help with this problem.
Thank you.
Hey LibreMax Capital.
I strongly prefer to do a system restore to the last point where the computer
in the right direction, I would be also very prefer to do a virus scan because malware can freeze your computer
Also have you had this problem before? or fact is he suddenly?
If the above did not work so I think that you have to reinstall windows again.
Good luck
ETH.

Hi all. I am operating Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1, 32-bit on an HP Pavilion dv6000.
My problems started about two months ago, when I installed several updates through Windows Update. I started having problems with my USB ports (even if these pilots were not being updated) and the computer was never able to close successfully. I tried to uninstall these updates, but that did not fix the questions I had. I have also installed software (AutoCAD 2007) at the same time and uninstalled, nothing helps.
Then my computer started to freeze after running for a few minutes. Time seems to vary from 5 minutes of good use for 1 hour, but I found that it works only because this so long, I only open a program or file and use it all the time (for example, reading a book in Adobe Acrobat format). If I try to open the program or additional files, go to control panel, etc. (read: if I do everything related to Windows Explorer) the computer crashes. I can still move my cursor but none of the windows meet, and I can't ctrl + alt + delete to enter the Task Manager (I get a black screen).
I was manually shut down my computer every time that happens and boot in SafeMode several times. Sometimes when I try to start safe mode it is hampering the crcdisk file and turns off. It happens not every time, however. Sometimes, when it starts it running the disk check, and there has been some index files that it has been deleted and orphaned files that it has been moved.
I tried to do a system restore to a point before the updates I've installed in October, but my computer has no points system, restore even if he says it was their creation before you install these updates.
The last problem is that when I go to Windows Update, it says that I have never checked for or downloaded the updates in the 15 months that I've had the computer - is not true, I, he lost at the time of all the record of it. So although I would like to provide you with wonderful with a record of what I've updated and people uninstalled, I can't because all this information is gone. In addition, I can't connect to the internet to try to check the news updates, because our internet service runs a USB modem, which is not communicating properly with my computer.
I hope someone has an idea of what's going on. I just can't understand the common point that all these questions arise, my technology skills are somewhat limited, so I hope for a relatively easy solution.
Sarah
BTW, all my files were backed up on external drives.
I don't know Jack about computers, but I don't know that I went through almost exactly the same thing. My pc was ok, then in a month or two, it took a nose dive. something I did was too that much could not think of everything. A friend told me to reset my bios to default settings and see what happens. After having spent only 7 hours trying to teach myself on bios, I got stabbed in this area and it worked. Everything is great runnng. Now I can even right click on icons without crashing.

Explorer Windows guard freezing.it freezes when I try to explore my computer but the other stuff works like firefox or another office short cuts.i do not know what to do about this.
Please start with the basics:
The first Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?
The second issue of Windows troubleshooting: what is the status of virus/malware of the machine? If you think it's clean, what programs (and versions) allows you to determine this?

Last month, my office has been freezing almost whenever I connect, I rebooted my laptop or close and turned on afterwards. The way I know that it is frozen is when my wifi icon is the blue loading circle and when I right click on my slider and it is located in the blue loading circle. Then after I do a restart hard (hold the power button and back - turn on my laptop), after the screen usual "the computer did not turned off properly", I see "scan disk" screen Even if I touch any key so analysis can run and maybe find the problem, the analysis is automatically cancelled. I pass this cycle at least twice before being able to use my computer properly.
I've had my laptop for 4 years. It is a Dell Inspiron N5010 Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit Intel Core i3 processor. For safety, I got Kaspersky Internet Security for one year. Is there anything that can be done to prevent it happening again?

If my ADSL connection disconnected by the provider of the connection on my computer freezes instead of disconnect!
As the title suggests, if my connection interrupted by the ISP (for example: Internet service provider who use dynamic IP automatically disconnects after 24 hours permanent connection), my connection broadband (PPPoE) on my windows 7 freeze and it does not cut, and this isn't answer to disconnect click, even if I uninstall the Ethernet card, keep the connection.
Everything else works fine, and the only way to connect to the Internet is to restart my pc.
Also if the connection is disconnected due to a traction cable or ADSL Modem power connection broadband (PPPoE) on my PC disconnect normally without any problems and I can reconnect without any problem.
any help with this.Hello
PPPOE software th whole arrangement never worked well from the first day more than 10 years regardless of the operating system.
So most serious DSL carriers actually give free Modem/Router so that authentication would be by the side of the router WAN.
They give it for free for phone support for this problem cost them more than the $10 adds the router to the Modem
For example, get a router, simple routers in the United States are sold for less than $15.
Router solved the problem PPPOE provides, security with NAT firewall, and stream DSL is actually faster than with authentication of software.

Windows 7 freezes and unresponsive
A few days ago did this start happening, but my laptop freezes and nothing works. I can't open the windows, all my open windows have the title [name of program] is not responding. CTRL Alt Delete sent it to me to a page saying:
"Task manager has failed to operate, and if you feel this once again, then your operating system can be unresponsive."
Or something similar to this.
Return to normal, the only way is to press the power button until it turns off and then turn it back on. It happens all the time now, but I've had this laptop for a few years, and it did not before. I had to reformat the computer twice recently, due to a virus which plays audio sounds random and commercial without my intervention. One of these wipes was right this morning, so if you ask my logs, they will be completely empty. It comes to the computer:

Desktop Windows 7 freezes.
I recently updated my card motherboard and CPU. Went from Intel Core2Duo to AMD FX 6 core and motherboard went from Foxconn to an MSI a not sure about the particular model but both were on the card. I had to do a complete fresh re-install of Windows 7 Home 64 bit just to get the pc to boot. I first noticed the problem whenever I plugged my speakers sound on Board decision-making. I thought that it could be a conflict with my mouse because as soon as I plugged it it it would freeze upwards. I went on the installation disc motherboard and ensured that all drivers have been installed correctly. I then plugged my speakers back in and it worked fine. Now it hangs just periodically when I am downloading and trying to use google chrome

I need help with my computer Windows 7 freezing. How can I stop this?
This just happened to me because my computer has been built up and tested in the last month. I was in the middle of work on an assignment for the class online and just froze. I couldn't use the mouse or keys and was forced to hit the reset button on the front of my computer. I use Windows 7 Ultimate with all updates. I have the Intel Core i5 quad core processor and PCI Express card Asus Geforce GTX 550Ti 2.0 and 4 GB of memory hardware. It is the copy of the event viewer. I will list all the codes that concern as well. This is the entire code format: (this has happened before, so I need to know why it happened and how I fix so it does not happen.) Thank you very much for your help! Ernie Mink
Hi Ernie,.
You get a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error?
A 41 event is used to signal that something unexpected has happened that prevent Windows to close properly. This problem may be caused, if some hardware drivers are not updated.
I suggest for the link and follow the steps in the article based on different scenarios.

Windows 7 freezes in Normal Mode.
Hello! I use my Dell Inspiron 17R about 2 months ago and this is a fantastic phone, I use it mainly for video games, music and Movies/TV shows and he ran without fault far.
Yesterday, however, the problems began to occur. I could boot up the laptop as usual and access the Internet, play games, watch movies etc, but after about 5 minutes everything would suddenly become unresponsive. Both my mouse and trackpad do not allow me to click at all, however I could move the mouse around the screen quite well. The keyboard would not work also - I tried to open the Task Manager via Ctrl + Alt + Del but also closing windows with Alt + F4 or by train at the stop via the Windows key and nothing would work. Instead, the cursor would change to the "loading" symbol and it would pretty much just doing nothing. The first time that this happened, I was browsing the Internet and it comes if is stuck on "Waiting for Cache" or something so that probability, I then noticed the circle of rotation which shows a page loading also stopped and was then forced to manually restart because I couldn't even click on the Windows button. Another test I tried watching a video uploaded - it literally just stopped playing about 4 minutes. The screen is just stopped on a single image even if the pause button had not been pressed - try clicking on what anyone did not work (as usual).I tried to restart it several times (I unfortunately had to use the power button) and he began to repeat each time. It would work for a few minutes before freezing completely (less opportunity to unnecessarily move the mouse around the screen). Sometimes a pop-up window would be above the bar saying that stains the 'Microsoft Windows application became unresponsive. Sometimes the taskbar then disappear and the laptop would be closed, but the end result is always the same.I found that the same problem moved with the boot safe mode with networking, however there were a few noticeable slowdown. I downloaded and used many anti-viruses/malware to analyze my machine and I'm almost certain that there is nothing of the those on the computer (although in fairness, the scans have been so slow I could do before giving up only to about 20% on each). Other solutions, I tried included:1. manually end tasks of high memory use via the Manager of2. with the help of CCleaner for fix my registry in Mode safe3. left the laptop shut down during the night in hope it would just set4 disconnected everything from the laptop ports5. rebooted via the reboot, shutdown and power buttonsI'm sure I tried other things as well, but I am quite limited in the fact that I can use the laptop for a few minutes before he decided to stop working. I really need the laptop for my studies and I would be absolutely in love if one of you could help me solve my problem. Thanks in advance!-JordanOriginal title: error: after about 5 minutes of work after booting, Windows 7 freezes completelyHi JordanRidehalgh,
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. It seems that you have a problem with Windows 7 gel. This can be very frustrating for you, and I appreciate the efforts you have put in. Let us work together as a team to get this number fixed.
We start with a few questions-
(1) that you get an error message or error code?
(2) did you install hardware or software on the computer before the show?
I would like more information about the issue.
Method 1-
I wish that you run anti-virus in Mode safe mode with networking using different antivirus software.
In addition, I'd download (download and install in Normal Mode) and execution (in Safe Mode) the online scanner.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The antivirus will try to repair bad sectors on the hard drive damaged by viruses. All the data on these sectors may be lost.
Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
Make sure you get the computer back to Normal Mode after performing all the troubleshooting steps.
Method 2-
It is possible that a third-party application is causing the problem as the computer worked well in Mode without failure.
I recommend you perform the clean boot.
Placing the computer in a boot minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must perform the steps in the article-
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: You must follow the step 3 of the article to return the computer to a Normal startup after you perform all the troubleshooting steps.
Check if the problem persists.
Method 3-
I would have you look at the article-

My OS windows 7 freezes randomly.
I can restart only by pressing the power button. It also does not save user names and passwords even if I permanently authorizes to invite when appears. I cleaned up in selective upward startup so that only windows programs run msconfig. I always struggle with the gel so I do not think it is the substance of the issues of program. I use MS Security Essentials as my antivirus, that's all.
