Windows 7 genuine or not

Hello Sir/Madam,

I got a genuine version of MS-Windows 7 Home Premium. It was pre-installed on my computer laptop dell studio. But a few months ago, I installed a pirated version of Windows 8. Then, after that, I installed again the genuine windows7 using the provided Dell reinstallation CD. But on the display of system properties, it shows the Ask for genuine windows label, although my copy of windows 7 is genuine. I want to know that my windows 7 is still authentic or not. If not, then why? Because the CD provided by dell had copy genuine windows 7. He hoped that this must be authentic. Help, please. I send you the product of my Windows 7 Home Premium - key

*****-*****-*****-*****-*****

What version of Windows COA label indicates was preinstalled on the computer, the label can be found in the case or possibly in the battery compartment? Fact that match the version on the disk. The preinstalled Windows, activation system is sensitive to the version of Windows being installed so always impossible to install a newer version, especially if it has Sp1 or not.

The key would not be taken down unless it's the key to Dell, they are fully documented and well known, because a key Dell works on the correct Dell system.

  • Why Windows Media Player will not validate my copy genuine Windows to upgrade to version 11?

I had a problem with a new MP3 player that would produce an error in WMP whenever I tried to synchronize with him so I went to upgrade to version 11 of WMP, but now I don't have access to the program at all because it will not be validated to complete installation despite my copy of windows is genuine (I even checked this with MS directly) & will not remove WMP version 11 to allow me to return to my previous version 10 so I have no access to the program or my libararies to music, I've built.  How can I get the validation complete on an older albein but authentic version of windows so I can use this program once again?

  • What to do if the copy of Windows is genuine when MS wrote that is not

I received the message "this copy of Windows is not genuine".  Windows 64 bit Vista came installed on my laptop when I bought it almost 2 years ago.  Why I get this message now?  MY COPY IS AUTHENTIC.  What am I supposed to do?  I'm not a geek & dirty with records or something like that.  I find it very upsetting that MS did something like this & there is no where & no, you can call to get them to do it right.  I don't have to understand something like that by myself.  If Microsoft will do checks like that, they should do things or provide a toll-free number for when they go wrong.

    Hello

I would say allowing you to run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool then copy and paste the results into an answer here for further analysis:

Also I suggest you to check your product key and report to Microsoft about the issue.

Check out the following link to report to Microsoft.

  • Check if windows 7 is genuine or not.

HI, I'm trying my best check if my windows 7 is genuine or not. I have download microsoft software to verify the validity, but it gives an error. Kindly tell me that now, how can I check this?

I don't think there is a problem with RemoveWAT, George - is only one of 3 normal errors seen in such cases.

I am wary of the SLIC table, however - it does not seem to match the rest of the BIOS, and from what I see the 7515CTO bundled with Vista.

I find unbelievable that anyone would voluntarily pay for 4 individual licenses for Office applications, rather than buying a copy of Microsoft Office, which would provide all there (and more) for a lot less money - and they all seem to be Volume licenses.

Overall, I suspect that this machine is installed fakes from the bottom to the top - the COA sticker would certainly be able to call me a liar :)

  • Activated Genuine Windows 7 now says not active

I have Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium SP1, and my computer was unusable for some time because my motherboard is dead. Finally, I got a new motherboard, put my whole computer, has everything set up, and now Windows tells me that it is not enabled. -Windows is GENUINE. -Tried support site get help from Microsoft and they tell me my product ID is expired - Activation told me it is due to a hardware or a hardware driver change - he says I have 2 days and I have many great and important things on this machine - it is said the product key should be activated with new material , but it does nothing when I re-tape my key first, I don't know Microsoft support hotline or technical support number or anything, otherwise I would just call them and ask what the * happens. Secondly, I really hope that I don't have reinstall just because I got a new motherboard. If there is a way around the uninstall, I'll take it this way. Once again, this copy of Windows is genuine.

Well... it's weird. After about 10 tent 'online activation', that's just... has worked for some reason any. I don't know why, or how, but it's good that he did. I didn't have to call.

    That's... just... weird.

But thanks anyway for the help.

  • Windows 7 suddenly became not genuine

Here is the result of the report of this tool. Would be very happy to help with this. Thanks in advance

  • Windows XP Pro do not validate after the removal of the hard drive

In an older machine, I have a copy of Windows XP Pro, it is validated and worked perfectly fine, until I removed a dying hard drive of the machine, then it is suddenly telling me that the OS is not genuine. I can't get to turn on again in a way that I can think of, and I don't see anything immediately above that might interfere with the activation. I would really not like to re - install the operating system, anyway I can activate it again without doing so would be greatly appreciated.

  • Update your Windows product key - does NOT (WinXP-SP3 OEM with OEM product key [currently installed system])

I am trying to replace my product key OEM "generic" with "individual" product key on the label "Genuine Microsoft" at the back of my case.
I'm preparing the machine for use by my mother - a neophyte computer - live too far away for me to provide practical support.  In the case of mus - PAH, I I I want that product key installed to match the product label "Genuine Microsoft" attached to the case key.
The system is that an already activated Windows XP Media Center with Service Pack 3 installed - with an installed OEM (?) product key:
    Windows product key: *-* - GDTF9 - B9QW7-BBVH6

QUESTION: Since I do not know if this license is a license in "Volume" or an "OEM license" it is unclear what instructions to follow...
I tried the Windows product key update tool... .on the on the system, which withdraws as 'Authentic' (Validation status: genuine) which failed (as described below).  Is it possible to replace this with the "real" product key?

Following the instructions in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/genuine/product-key for Windows XP.
    1. open Windows Update Tool product key. (file: KeyUpdateTool_enu.exe)

I downloaded and ran - with the result following (failure)

    Windows product key update tool
This application must be run on a supported of the XP operating system version.

  • My product key on a new installation was invalid so then I activated by phone... now when I use windows update it does not work correctly

My product key on a new installation was invalid so then I activated by phone... now when I use windows update it is not working properly because it says that I don't have a genuine copy of windows... But it seems that the updates don't come down... is it ok to work this way?

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 ) tool
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.

Windows security updates will continue to come down the pipe under automatic updates, but you cannot access the General updates until the system to validate.

I bought the laptop in 2006. The windows is genuine, but I don't have the activation code. What should I do? I installed vista and because I had no code after about 4 weeks it will stop. I'm up, but its prompting me to activate again. Help, please! This has been a good laptop and will continue to be if I can get help with activation.

Original title: old Dell laptop broke down.

    Hello

You can contact Dell and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a small fee.

If this method has not been destroyed by the last re - install, and if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

With a Dell, you press F8 at startup and follow the instructions

    http://www.Dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?docid=266618

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

For my Windows Vista Genuine Advantage window link is no longer supported and I don't know where to find the most recent version.

    Hello

You can check this link on your error for the version number.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/961047

And for the Genuine Advantage link, you must use Internet Explorer installed on your system to validate. Do not use a different browser for this.

RE: your Windows Vista is not genuine

Please take a look at this article/answer given by Keith, the moderator of the forum

There is no such thing as Windows Vista 2009 or 2010 Windows Vista.
Are you actually referring to Microsoft Office 2009 and 2010?

    In any case...

    1. you should post this question in installation, upgrade, and activate forum

    2. If it will make it easier for you, you can use the forum on French language for your questions
