Windows 7 Home Basic SEA upgrade to Windows 7 Home Prem OA SEA

Hello

I have two cell phones, (using Windows 7 Home Basic SEA) A1 and A2 (using Windows 7 Home Prem OA SEA).

Recently I reinstall windows to A2, I lost the CD of windows, then I used A1 CD windows install. When it came to enter the product key, I tried Windows 7 Home Prem OA SEA key product key but it failed. In the end, I key - in the product key for Windows 7 Home Basic SEA.

Now, A1 & A2 use the same version of windows and the same product key. Therefore, I want to change the version of product key and windows for my A2, what should I do? I mean that I want to return the Windows 7 Home Prem OA SEA, what do I do?

Please guide me as I am not the expert.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, this won't work, your best option is to ask your computer manufacturer recovery media.

A key Windows 7 Home Premium cannot activate or convert a Windows 7 Home Basic Home Premium facility.

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

While the upgrade is possible from Win7, I would advise against.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you face is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features is the specialized drivers written for the specific in your HP PC hardware - and unfortunately, there is no driver HP Win10 for your PC. HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

This means that your PC is probably NEVER going to be fully functional under Win10 because the pilots is needs for all features simply do not exist!

However, if you want to EXPERIENCE with the upgrade to see how it goes, then perform an image backup, first.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

My experience is that SIR, when you use the option of Compression high, typically allows to compress the image file recorded at about 50% of the space USED in the OS partition.  This means that if you have a 40GB and 80GB OS partition is used, MR must only about 20 GB to store the image file.

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Have fun experimenting with Win10!

    Good luck

I want to install the 64-bit because I need RAM reading entirely, as the 32-bit edition do not recognize fully...

The key of Windows 7 works with 32 and 64 bit, but can only be installed at a time.

Case of failure of the online activation:

Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

Note: If you always install Windows page enter your product key, do not enter your key and uncheck the "Automatically activate when online" then click OK/next to complete the installation.

    1. open Windows Activation - click on the Start button, right-click computer, click Properties, then click the option to activate Windows now or change your key.

    2. click on show me other ways to activate.

3 type your Windows 7 product key, and then click Next.

    4. click on use the automated phone system.

    5. click on the location nearest you from the drop-down list, and then click Next.

    Hello

HP is a download for the recovery media option, but here's an alternative, you might use.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc 'detail' yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( it must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - IE Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software offering the installation of ImgBurn) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the windows Image is Digital River.

    Images of Windows 7.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.
