One machine Windows 7 Home Premium, all of a sudden to print on my printer (HP LaserJet P1102). I can print to it to other machines. Tried to uninstall, reinstall - no help. Hi Moshiach ' h,
Before you perform a system restore, you can try the steps listed and check if it helps.
Let us try to start the service manually print spooler and check if this solves the problem.
a. Click Start.
b. type services.msc in the start search box and press enter.
c. right-click on print spooler and click Properties.
d. check if the startup type is Automatic. If it is not then change it to automatic.
e. check if the service status is stopped.
f. If Yes, then click on the Start button.

The positioning of the image Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit background will not change
So I can change my background very well, but the position of the image, I can't. Position as in, tile, stretch, Center, filling and adjustment. I think he's stuck on stretch. I read a bit about it on the forums and some people were saying to install a "facilitator of photo wallpaper". I tried to install this and it did not work. I am not finding other solutions, so I don't know what to do =)
Good question. Not sure, but it seems to have something to do with the aspect ratio.
For example -.
I have pictures on the internet that measure, 2220 x 1476, 960 x 540, 954 x 534, and 700 x 467 pixels.
and options of wallpaper does not allow for anything other than full screen on any of them.
The same is true if I convert photos in 1920 X 1080 (the native resolution of my screen). However if you use a photo with a resolution that measures say, 800 x 600, 2048 x 1536,.
(the res native to my camera), it will appear with the different options available in the
Customize the wallpaper option.If I use Photoshop (or similar) to change the size of say, 954 x 534 at 800 x 600 or 1280 x 1024.
the options are available. -

Have you installed Windows 7 device drivers for your make and model. If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.
Find the website of your computer manufacturer support.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/contact-support/computer-manufacturersHow do you know if you have a 32 bit or bit 6 vrsion of Windows installed:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/827218
BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. Sometimes a newer BIOS update will fix the problem. Read the instructions on how to your BIOS update/flash very carefully and be more you understand the process. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.
Also check the download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit sp1 is not detecting wireless networks.
I bought a second hand HP Altec Lansing with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit sp1 on 20/02/2014 and on the current (22/02/2014) Internet has stopped working completely! It says no connection available when my room is larger than the router! I tried to update, delete then installin and reset it. The laptop came with a guarantee of 2 months, but I want to know first if I missed something...
CD-ROM GENIUSES CAN YOU HELP ME?
Have you disabled the wireless receiver? You can see other networks even if you can't join them?
Some laptops have a mechanical switch, others use a Fn key to turn on or turn off the WiFi.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Canon IP6600D printer and unknown device
I have a Windows 7 Premium build with a Canon Pixma IP6600D printer. It worked sporatically at first with my Windows 7 until recently. Now, I get an unknown device and the USB Plug N Play reports that it is not recognizing the device. The USB port on the printer is good as it works perfectly on my XP machines and the USB port is on the PC as the other devices are recognized without incident.
I tried stuff Device Manager usual for updated driver, updates the window, etc. As this is a printer compatible 64-bit of Windows 7 (with some minor limitations), I was wondering why all drivers for Windows 7 is not recognize this printer. Printer is good, USB is good, the cable is good. Of course, the OEM driver disk is more compatible to reload the printer because it is a 32-bit application. So, I rely on Microsoft Windows 7 drivers Canon for the deal.
Just got off the phone with Canon and they confirm that the driver of Windows 7 are compatible plug-n-play and all I need and that Canon does not provide one direct driver other than the Add on Windows 7 x 64.
Yet once, I ran all the windows and the driver updates to say everything is as current as possible.
Next?THX.
AGEGet the 64 bit Vista http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=357&modelid=11864&default_os=windows_vista driver and install it, then the add-on (if you need it) on the same page, but change the OS to Windows 7 64-bit.

What now?
Tip: Insert your office (2007? 2003?) CD into appropriate bay before installing next attempt... or run a repair or even uninstall/reinstall Office.
Tip: If no joy, see if you can download the "fullfile" version updates via http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/ or http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/ and then manually install / them.

Connect a printer HP Laserjet 4 parallel via USB using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit - HELP!
I have a new Dell PC (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) that does not have a parallel port to connect an old HP Laserjet 4 printer. I bought a USB to parallel to connect the PC to the printer. When turn on/off the printer, W7 installed an IEEE-1284 controller that appears in the unspecified list of devices in the control panel. I "Has added a new printer", select "USB001 virtual printer USB port", then choose the correct printer driver (after "Windows Update" get a longer list). When you try to print a test page, the 'ready' light on the printer starts to print, but nothing else happens.
After experimenting with different settings, I was able to get a page to print that says "* s1M. I don't know how it happened or what it means. This suggests that the PC is 'talk' to the printer. However, I was unable to reproduce this.
HP support was able to help me, and I've been searching for an answer. Someone at - it suggestions? I wouldn't give up using a "workhorse" reliable printer for years. "
You do not have a parallel port on the machine. Whatever it is sent to the parallel port device should fail on writing. Change the port to the port of USB00n, created when you plugged the cable. You will see the port listed in the list of ports. This will usually USB001 when you have not all printers attached otherUSB. Alan Morris Windows printing team;

My Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit will make not a disk defragment!
My Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit will make not a disk defragment! Can anyone help?
"Disk Defragmenter is currently using custom settings created by another program."
RE - issue of Tom Ferguson - "computer maintenance program."
Including Norton or any of the other AV that has 'optimize' tools
It's may be in conflict with the Windows Defragmenter?"The drive has 318 439 Go free."
My understanding is Win7 Defragmenter needs 15% free space and you
are a bit lower than that.
Normally, you would get a message saying that you have enough free space, but
who cannot occur due to the other error message."Or is the only alternative-3 rd party software?
You can try AusLogics Disk Defrag, but still 15% needs to free up space.«Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall MS disk defrag»
You cannot uninstall or reinstall defrag Ms.
... Just a guess. If it were somehow corrupted you might replace the .msi file
with a new copy,.

Hey,.

I have an original desc of "Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit the question is, can I upgrade to the version that is installed in my new laptop with the version that I already have?"
Thank you

Yes, you can upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. You do not lose the pre-installed software & drivers, if you upgrade. If you perform a clean install of Ultimate, you will lose all the pre-installed software.

Presario CQ56 Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
I listened to people who have claimed to be experts, big mistakes. I bought this laptop used. Compaq Presario CQ56 with problems. I had reformatted it and Windows 7 (64 bit) relocated to Arkansas, it's over. I had an another 'Expert' work on that here and now, is that he put a pirated copy of windows on it. I have some experience with computers from DOS to Windows 98. I also have a desktop computer with Windows XP I've worked with some. I am now located in the Philippines and need to get a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) so that I can try and restore my computer to original factory. What I need, is the drive installation and instructions on how to do it properly. There, any help will be appreciated.
Hello:
My recommendation is to have a friend or relative in the USA order a set of recovery discs for your laptop from the link below and send them to you.
They would need to be able to enter the serial number of your PC.
To order, they click on the link below and then click on the link labled order recovery media.
