No matter what help for what registry key that I need to restore would be appreciated.

Problem found. The virus was not completely removed. Microsoft Security Essentials found an infected file, but could not remove it and if the file could be restored from somewhere, restart in safe mode rename the copy of wrong file (Window\System32\dnsapi.dll) a correct known copy of the file in the system directory and now Windows to validate properly when restarting.

Thank you for your time and answer.

    Hello

It's a normal reaction after replacing the hardware that you have replaced.

The hard drive with the installed operating system contains the old motherboard drivers, etc..

They must be replaced with the new motherboard, drivers etc.

You will need to reinstall the operating system and then install the new drivers of motherboard (you should have a diskette of drivers for it), if the new installation does not probably them, that it will not...

To backup your data > buy a hard drive USB enclosure > put your hard drive in it > plug it into another computer > read and copy your data from it in this way.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium does not load

I am currently in safe mode with network. The two safemodes work very well.

However, my Normal Windows 7 Home Premium will not load. I get a black screen after startup. Windows will not even go to the Page of the user.

I was at my desk and clicked on the Mozilla Firefox browser. When a guest is up asking if its 'ok' firefox in the Trash Dump. Then, he gave me 29 guests asking if it is "ok". Of course, I clicked 'No' which then froze my computer.

Then, I Hardbooted the computer and went to restart. After the bios loading system... my computer would achieve was a black screen.

Since then, I did a system restore to several days before. And that has not fixed the problem.

My guess is that I've damaged some system files? Or is it a virus. I use Avast basic protection.

Please get back to me with more information. Thank you

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, I understand you get a black screen after start up.

This could happen due to conflicts between third-party applications.

You can disconnect all external devices except the keyboard and mouse and check if you are able to boot to the desktop and check.

I also recommend what to do the Startup Repair. Follow these steps:

To perform a Startup Repair follow these steps:

    1. Insert the Windows 7 DVD and restart the computer.

    2. When we are asked to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press enter or the SPACEBAR.

    3. Choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    4. Click on repair your computer.

    5. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    6. In the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

Access the link below for more information on the Startup Repair:

Original title: ASUS x501a Windows 7-8.

    Hi all

I just registered here after having been a Microsoft user, since I started using computers, I think that when I started to use it is Windows XP haha, anyway.

I'm running Windows 7 on the following specifications

    4 GB of Ram

    HARD DRIVE 300 GB

Intel core i3 clocked at 2.6 GHz

    Intel HD 3000 graphics card

and it's an Asus x501a comes with 7 not 8, so I've upgraded to Windows 8, then I found out, I removed my recovery partition. Oops.

I know it's not a way to make it back, unless I did a copy of CD as I do not have.

so, if I got a copy of my friends Windows 7 Home Premium, my product key on the lower part would work if I clicked on "change product key"?

I have an Acer Aspire PC. It came loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium. Recently, I reformatted the hard drive and did a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional.

  • Windows 7 Home Edition Premium does not start after the upgrade to the new motherboard

A year ago, I bought a Compaq PC with a preinstalled version of Windows Vista installed. Then, I contacted HP and bought a Premium upgrade Windows 7 and starting to upgrade to Windows 7 family. Now, I came to a point where I wanted to upgrade my PC and I bought a card mother Gigabyte and a processor for the new socket. I was planning on using the same hard drive, but I found that I can not boot into Windows 7 more. The operating system is to see what he thinks, it's a brand new computer?

Have I not the license right credentials to run Windows 7 on this computer 'new '? The old motherboard is of no use to me, and the operating system only and will only ever be used on a hard drive. If it is all ok - how can I get my Windows installation to work, keeping in mind that I only have a Windows 7 upgrade disk?

    Best regards, jazznaz

Yes, it's a brand new computer, but you should be able to use, the license would be out of respect and you would just set it using a key of Windows 7 Edition Home Premium full version.

Because you used the Windows Vista OEM license as a basis for the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade qualification, this license is more in use since you changed the motherboard. This means you need to get a full license.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium: download files to install the game disappears after download

When I finished to download MapleSEA on Windows 7 Home Premium, after checking the download box disappears. It is the same for any game download, as CABAL. How can I make these games work?

    Hi Sahul9000,

    1. not looking for game file after you download it?
    2. What is the error message?

Every time we download any program or game, download rest dialog box open or closed once the download is complete. The dialog box remains open if the option "close when the download is complete" is not enabled and if she chose the closed box dialog box.

When the dialog box disappears, it means that the download is finished. We recommend that you find the location of the downloaded file. Once youfind the file, open it to install the game.
Once the game is installed, restart the computer and launch it from the menu start.
    a. Click Start, click all programs.
    b. click on the element of game in the list to start.
