Windows 7 Home Premium - Mahjong Titans game

I use Windows 7 Home Premium. I still can't Mahjong Titans (or any of the Microsoft games) to open - sometimes they do, sometimes they did not. What I am doing wrong, please?

SirBruce

Hi SirBruce,

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

2. type the following command and press ENTER:

sfc/scannow

3. the sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

If it does not help to register a new account to user if the same problem occurs. To create a new user account

1. to open user accounts, click the Start button, select Control Panel, click on accounts of users and parental controlsand then click user accounts.

2. click on Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3. click on create a new account.

4 type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.

If the new user account works fine then the old account has been corrupted, you can follow the link given below to fix the corrupted user profile.

  • How to fix Chess Titans (game) on the version of Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hello

When I play as white (against the computer) on 'Chess Titans' simulated 3D screen shows white on the bottom.  When I go to play in the dark (once again, against the computer), however, does not turn the simulated jury.  Whatever the color, I select, white is ALWAYS on the bottom.  Until a week ago, and over the past years, I had Windows 7 Home Premium, the game Chess Titans turned to show depending on the color, I chose to play as close to me - at the bottom of the screen.   Curiously, when I select the graphic quality low (lowest of the 6 parameters) and play in 2D, the Council turns to show the color that I played on the background.

I tried clicking on the radio buttons to 'Rotate Board when playing head to head' and "Spin Board after free view" but power seems to have no effect.  Once again, up to a week ago and for a few years, the game Chess Titans turned to show according to the color, I chose to play as close to me - at the bottom of the screen.

Windows seems to have opinions and automatic updates frequently, but never they have affected this game.  I'm not a grandmaster or whatever it is and enjoying playing against the computer, but play black all in 'sit', that white is trying to ruin my game.  Suggestions, please?

    Old goat Steve

Click Start-> Control Panel-> performance information and tools-> Visual affects-> Adjust to improve the appearance. It slows down, and the jury turns itself when you play against the computer as black.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium: download files to install the game disappears after download

When I finished to download MapleSEA on Windows 7 Home Premium, after checking the download box disappears. It is the same for any game download, as CABAL. How can I make these games work?

    Hi Sahul9000,

    1. not looking for game file after you download it?
    2. What is the error message?

Every time we download any program or game, download rest dialog box open or closed once the download is complete. The dialog box remains open if the option "close when the download is complete" is not enabled and if she chose the closed box dialog box.

When the dialog box disappears, it means that the download is finished. We recommend that you find the location of the downloaded file. Once youfind the file, open it to install the game.
Once the game is installed, restart the computer and launch it from the menu start.
    a. Click Start, click all programs.
    b. click on the element of game in the list to start.

  • just bought ghostbusters game pc, but it is very slow on my WINDOWS VISTA Home premium... of suggestions?

I installed the game ghostburters on windows vista Home premium with service Pack 1 and it runs very slowly, I tried the upgrade a few things bo nothing helps.

whay can I do to improve the speed?

Well, that may depend on how fast your computer is.  Games have the system requirements listed on the box or the Web site that you downloaded from.  Your computer should generally be at or better than the recommended settings.  Otherwise games will run slowly or not work.  If the game runs slow, in general, you can buy a graphics card faster to make it go more quickly, but it depends greatly on this kind of material you have in your computer now.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit won't let me run older 32-bit games?

I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Now, I can't run my old 32-bit games.  Can I download a 32-bit program, or do I have to buy another version of Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit support?

Its possible there is some compatibility issues with Windows 7 64-bit and older games.

    You can try compatibility mode:

See the developers website for compatibility with Windows 7 and if there are updates, corrections or difficulties that might ensure compatibility.

    Windows 7 Compatibility Center

Check if your application software or hardware is on the list

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

    Software:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx?type=software

You can also try to run the program in compatibility mode

You can find more information on compatibility modes in the articles below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-program-compatibility

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Program-Compatibility-Assistant-frequently-asked-question

If this does not work, you might want to consider purchasing a license for 32 bit Windows 7 Home Premium and dual boot with Windows 7 64 - bit in order to be able to run older games:

Please see the following article with useful information about dual-boot:

  • More games and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Hello Microsoft supports the team.

I would like to play the older games like Dungeon Keeper2, Tomb Raider2 and Star Wars: the threat ghost on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I tried to change the compatibility settings, and it does make a difference. If you could tell me about a good VM to use or something else, I would be gratefull, thank you.

    Kind regards.

    Jacques van Wyk

For Dungeon Keeper 2, you can follow this guide, it can help.

For Tomb Raider 2, I think I found something on this site, in any case I do not know if they have solved the problem (I'm Italian and I did not quite understand what they were doing), so try at your own risk.

For Star Wars: The Phantom Menace tell him guide. (Possibly a 32-bit operating system, too)

None of these reviews are officially supported and I have not test them, so continue at your own risk.
Personally, I think that if you're someone who frequently use old video games (video games, you mentioned all have more than 10 years!), it would be more convenient to install Windows XP or at least Windows 7 32-bit (most of old video games was 16-bit: Windows 7 32 bit can handle most 16-bit applications in Windows 7 64 bit cannot) , or (even if it will affect the speed of the game) Windows 98 on a virtual machine (there are a lot of choises: Oracle VirtualBox, VMWare, Microsoft Virtual PC, etc...)

Hope this helps, spero di essere stato of aiuto.

    Windows7RULES.

  • Qosmio X 500 - 10W: old software with Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hello

First excuse my bad English, I'm french.

    A month ago, I bought an X 500 - 10W.

I would like to re - install two old games that turned on my satellite M30-104 with windows Xp.

I just can not install those on the Qosmio that works with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, even if I use the compatibility mode.

Is there a way to make these ancient works of software?

I found the virtual computer (for windows Xp mode), but it only works with Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate.

    Thanks for your replies.

This with virtual PC is good idea and you should get the right version.
I mean if you have games that are designed for Windows XP Home edition, then you know that this will not work on the new operating system to Win7.

Best application virtualization for me without a doubt is VMware Workstation > http://www.vmware.com/

  • upgrade to VISTA (x 32) Home Premium from Windows 7 Home Premium (x 32).

I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium (x 32). I have a HP Pavilion a6450z, which has a SLIC 2.0 BIOS made by Phoenix Technologies. I'm running VISTA (x 32) Home Premium now, that came on the computer when I bought it in May 2008. From what I read, that I need to update my BIOS so it will have SLIC 2.1 otherwise I won't be able to activate it. Is it true or when I install Windows 7 will automatically upgrade my BIOS?

    Thanks Hank

    HankT,

If you ask a question with statements not reported, make you it harder. Do you have a link for your references about a need to upgrade the BIOS. On the Web THAT NL page listed, there is no update of the BIOS.

I have a HPm8100e CTO, M2N68LA Narra2 Council. You have the Narra3 Council. The upgrade on the spot (abeit's Ultimate) has been completed. The only hick-ups have been re - install a few games, and new printer drivers. (I had 2 printers on this computer).

One of the problems causing my crashes Crysis DX10 was a bad stick of RAM. I had to test each stick individually with MEMTEST86.
The first time all the sticks passed but after continuing crashes, I retested and found a bad stick. Another thing I noticed was that many accidents have occurred when my clumsy fingers were depressing too many keys at the same time. Crysis has a lot of problems even with the newest and the best material of today but still lots of fun when it works.

who says the program has compatibility issues. In addition, it is said that the program is not compatible

    ~ FtothaM

I've heard say that if you go into the system menu Program Files-> Nexon-> you can start it manually by starting the exe. file.

Although I searched the Forum of MS, and apparently the game is simply not compatible with Windows 7, aka downgrade to XP or there may not be any play at all.
