Windows 7 key will not activate

I ordered a new PC from iBuyPower to August.  The machine had many problems and had to be sent in for repair 3 times due to hardware failures and has been formatted or hard drives replaced all 3 times.  Now, my Windows product key will activate not on my machine after the more recent repairs.  How can I get my windows to activate?

Description: The Activation server determined that the specified product key cannot be used.
Thank you!

Edit: Already talked to the technician of the IBP, he said I should ask for tier 2 support or I would be sent to the manufacturer.

Try the phone activation, if that does not work, then run the diaganostic utility at the end of this post.

1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone * do not select/press any option * and wait for a person to help you.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
(7) the person must give you a confirmation ID, copy it down on paper,
(8) check that the ID is correct in reading the support person.
(9) to enter the ID number, then click 'Next' to complete the activation process.

  • Format and Reinstall, product key will not activate

Hi, I'm using Vista Home Basic, and I happily did so since 2008.  Every few months, I blow hard and do a fresh install, and each time, it was very good.  This time, however, he told me the product key is already in use and will not activate it.  It's the only key I've ever had, and it's the only machine that I use it on.

How can I get around this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

    Use phone activation

activation by telephone (call of the operator)

    Click the Start button

    in the search box, type

    SLUI 4

    and press the Enter key

Follow the instructions, but when asked what service you need the ansafone phone, don't answer - it should oblige the operator to answer, who can deal with you

In the future, you can consider making an image of your active system and restore that, rather than to re - activate each time.

  • Freshly reinstalled Windows 7 Pro will not activate

I have a Dell Optiplex 780, which has a Windows 7 Pro OEM sticker on it.  For some reason the previous TECHNOLOGY provider decided to install Windows XP on this machine and I am trying to fix this error.

Unfortunately, while the installation program gladly accepts the key of the sticker, activation failed.  Œuvres of activation, phone, or internet.

I tried to use the Dell SLP key as well, obviously no chance.

Dell offers more OEM media for this machine as far as I can find, and I don't want the OEM media still because it is full of additional bloatware, that no sane person would want.

How can I install the OS that computer was purchased with the help of the legitimate license attached to the machine key?

I've never had problems with this in the past, other OEM machines worked fine with the same installation media using the keys of their COST.  The phone activation is usually required, but worked at the difference this time.

When you attempt to activate phone talk to a tech representative, if not try the phone activation once again as follows:

Hello BiggAl (is your name refers to a person from South Park?) Very nice haha!)

I just format the hard drive and install Windows 10. Windows 10 was activate very well! The main reason why I installed Windows 8 was first because I thought that it was necessary for the activation of Windows 10.

    So it works very well!

  • DC subscription and the product under the same ID-based key will not activate

We have an umbrella account that has 50 + XI Standard and Pro standalone key on it. It also has a Pro XI subscription. Worked well until the DC line was introduced. We have a subscription Standard DC which also worked well, but now we must make more independent products STD and we run by activating them because they oppose the subscription to DC problems by telling us that it is already activated on both machines, apart from the fact that we used the serial number for installation and verification must go against this series. I managed to get a working account multiple-time install/test/CCCleaner/fake Adobe until he took once, but it won't. I have to get 5 more and it will be a huge pain to make me consider alternatives to acrobat. Is there a way to solve this is by moving the subscription to another account (deal with it when they fail to work down the road) or fixing the back-end for activations to actually work. Or an installer that does not use CC account? If there is a problem, the system should prevent us to buy several of these the same account.

  • Windows 7 will not activate with the OEM key, after the failure of HARD drive.

    Hello

I was recently asked to repair my brother DELL laptop.  The HARD drive failed and the system unusable.  I replaced the HARD drive and installed Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 (earlier version of windows) from my own installation media.  The recovery partition had survived the failure of HARD drive, I would have just cloned that and used, but this was not an option in this case.

The problem that I am experiencing, is that windows don't will not activate, saying that the key is not valid.  I was told that installing Windows 7 media would work with a retail or an OEM key, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  The key OEM I use, is from the computer it came from originally, and the only material change is the new HARD disk.

I try to avoid ordering an OEM Dell installation CD, as which costs money (I already have my own installation CD) and takes time (why do they have them available for download?).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

you use an OEM SLP key that only works with the manufacturers recovery media.

change the product key to that on computers of COA
Click Start, type slui3, press ENTER.

    Additional information:

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

  • HP 2113w 19: windows 8.1 not will not activate on HP19-2113w after update system.

Everything worked fine on my PC.  Then the other day, he crashed and said there is a disk error and to analyze the entire disk to find the error. He finished scanning, but windows 8.1 would charge not successfully.  This is why I made an update of the system through HP recovery.  After having done that, windows should start normally, but I lost my activation.  When I tried to activate the answer has been ' key does not work try again later "or something like that.  Kept by train, no luck.  I thought it might have been an error with the update system, so I did the total system reset (after registration of personal data).  Now, I have the same problem with the activation and if I try to navigate in the normal way to activating the screen, the screen disappears.  I can get to the activation by using the command line.   but the key still does not work.  The key that I use I extract from my BIOS data.  Also, I ran the update and reset to the original hard disk partition.

I hope someone has a solution to this.  Thanks advanced
