original title: how to block pop-ups «pl waiting windows configures media gallery»

    Hi Rajazc,

It seems that the location that the software will search in the installation file has changed or disappeared. You can follow this path that he needs? When you re-installed, did you use the same exact path? You completely uninstall before you try to reinstall? Try this: uninstall the software, do a clean boot, and then reinstall making sure that you set in a different way.

  • Photo Gallery Windows and Windows Live Photo Gallery will not open

Windows Photo Gallery does not open. This happened after trying to import images. Photo Gallery does not recognize the old photos so it would import duplicates, so I kept cancelling the process. Now it does not open. The blue circle goes as it will open up and then nothing happens. I downloaded Windows Live Photo Gallery, and it opens either. I have Windows Vista Home Premium version 6. On rare occasions, the gallery will open. What can I do? I read in this forum to rename the file, but it does not work. I did a system restore and that doesn't work anymore. Someone knows what can be done?

If you try to clear the Gallery, so it will be
as it was the first time you have started you need
    to rename the database file.

The "Pictures.pd4" or "Pictures.pd5" (according to
on the version of your photo gallery), database includes
inches and metadata and is located at the following
    location.

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
    Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4 or .pd5

The file ends with a advanced
    Search pd5 and pd4.

Reach... Start / Search / Advanced search.

Check the box... "include not indexed, hidden,
and the file system"Enter pd4 pd5 in the name field

Rename the file .pd4 or .pd5 to Pictures.OLD
should clean your library. The Gallery
will have to fill up again and you may lose some tags.

No. Windows Photo Gallery comes with the Vista system. It cannot be uninstalled.
It will coexist with Windows Live Photo Gallery. You just need to name one as your default programand leave the other alone.

I have both for 3 years.

  • Media Gallery merge modules x 64.msi

My question is probably a simple, but difficult for me because I'm probably more thinking than he.  I get this popping up on my computer all of a sudden Media Gallery merge modules x 64.msi with her asking me to consult as the path is not found.  He may have said something else, but I wanted to get here now that I'll be away for a few days.  Thanks for any help.

I don't have and my wife told me that she can't add or make changes to the software.  This is what appears in the windows as they appear.

    1. the component you are trying to use is on a network resourse which is not available.

    2. an installation package for the product Media Gallery MergeModules x 64 is not found.  Try the installation again using a

copy valid of the installation package 'Media Gallery MergeModules x 64.msi'.

This appears under the navigation window it gives looking for the program at the opening of the window.

  • Legends of Windows 7 Media Center missing slideshow feature

I recently bought a new laptop HP with Windows 7 and Media Center version. I used the Media Center program in my old computer (XP), in particular, the slide show feature. The photos came nicely with legends (which really are the file names of each photo). When I transferred photos on the new computer and headed the program of slide captions were missing. I really need the legends to make my presentation. Is that what I can do to restore the captions in the slide show?

It could be a long shot, but with windows to release living products, it might be in conflict with wmc?

If you open windows live photo gallery, located in the place of all the programs under a live windows folder to the bottom of the list, there selections as well as what you can publish,

I know it's a different program but with all the new features added and Add ons he added, that if you check those setting it could enlighten us.

But you can always just check information such as captions and make sure they are in the right category because we spent x - p for windows 7, the data could not be transferred correctly.

Anyway open your my pictures location and look at some of the pictures where you have problems with and see if the captions are really there and in the correct fields, simply point or left clicking on each photo opens the photo information on the row at the bottom of your screen in your photo library.

I don't know if you are interested in windows live photo gallery opening or not, just to check certain parameters that may or may not be playing with wmc?

I'll add that I've never really got into wmc for many in the past, but I used it because it of the only real way to adjust the timing of slide shows, all the time in wlpg is preset and the default values are not adjustable, that I hate and wmc is adjustable, and I can set it and forget it.

    ===========================================
Complex issue... but I'll try to offer some ideas.

Data that cannot be rewritten on the photo files are archived in the
Windows Live Photo Gallery database owner (Pictures.pd5).
So... move the files may prevent access to the data.

If you move the files to another computer, you may have some
moviing success the Pictures.pd5 file also.

Sometimes data are not written back to the image files, because they
are read only... and sometimes it's because of the file format.

Maybe the next thread will enlighten us:
