Windows 7 need more RAM for games that xp

Why some games need more RAN for windows 7, for example:

arkham asylum Batman needs 1 GB of RAM for windows xp and 2 GB for windows 7

The more you get on versions of Windows, the more RAM is required. There are a variety of reasons, but all simply, Vista and Windows 7 require more memory that make old versions of Windows. New technology requires more power.

The game itself shouldn't need more that about 500-600 MB of RAM, however, the specs say you should leave little memory RAM remains for tasks of Windows and other programs you may have running in the background (such as anti-virus, etc.)

  • Satellite Pro L100 need more RAM for the graphics

I have a Satellite Pro L100 with a 256 MB of the igp x200m no specialized version. Must automatically RAM my system RAM based on what system total RAM I have installed. 512 MB it took 64 MB, 1 GB, but 128 MB. I was wondering if someone could tell my how to beyond 1 GB RAM, say 1.5 or 2 GB?

    Thank you

    Hi Jessica

According to the specifications of the laptop, the graphics card supports 32 to 256 MB video memory shared.
So in my opinion, it should be able to use the 256 MB like max.
In the properties of the ATI radeon graphics card, you will find the tab called Frame Buffer
Here you can change the size of the memory to higher value UMA frame buffer

The memory of 1.5 GB should be enough to choose the 256 MB graphics card

  • I need more RAM?

Using CS4 and the project becomes bigger and bigger. It is now up to 85 min HD occupied; effects, transitions, 60 title my models.  I have to reboot often enough to avoid crashing.  If I catch him in time so that nothing is lost, but...

I add to the slowest project of my computer runs.

That makes sense, but what I wonder is this a symptom of need more RAM?

Currently, Vista 64 bit, 8 GB of ram.

I have three sata of the HHD, a dual core processor and a new videocard evea. I know the modeol, but for now, it's fast enough with a good memory.

    Thanks Jim

ICRA response from an Adobe employee is almost always going to be YES.

In other words, if you have a 64 bit OS, then RAM is always the best and the best way to improve the performance of the system with Premiere Pro.

Another suggestion to clean your project is to clean the media cache - it might be useful to run a little bit if you have not done in a long time.

    See you soon,.

I said I need more RAM.  I have Windows Vista Home Premium.  How to do it?

It's hard to believe, but to use the tool on www.crucial.com to check what you can hold in your computer. Unless you have a 64 bit system, you can not use more than 4 GB.

  • Aspire R3 - 131T, need more space for windows update

I tried to update windows and a dialog box appears, see attached untitled.bmp, said windows needs more space.  The update is upgraded to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586

I cleaned the system files and temporary files using built in application windows, disk cleanup

There are only 8 GB available for use on the hard disk provided with this new computer.  Thank you for any advice or support

8 GB and a 16 GB SD card + should be enough for the upgrade. Update of what? 8.1 or a previous Win10?

    PS I don't see attachment.

  • Allocate more RAM for integrated graphics - HP Pavilion 15-n225nr TouchSmart laptop

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n225nr Notebook PC, which is optimal for workloads but (A10 2.10 GHz AMD quad-core processor, came with 8 GB of ram and 750 GB HARD drive), however, recently tried to make a few games but this laptop has an intgrated GPU. I read that the upgrade of RAM will do not much but I ordered a second card of 8 GB of ram, because I want to increase the framerate by every single FPS I can ge and I'm coming soon, so I'll have 16 GB of RAM and the fact he'll be dual channel is a more. I have also read that by upgrading the RAM you can upgrade the amount of ram used by your integrated gpu because there will be more RAM available for use. I don't know if by upgradinng the RAM VRAM happen automatically or if I'll be able to do it manually, I read that you can do it via the BIOS, I don't know for shure if possible.

So, is it possible to increase the fraction of my RAM than my integrated graphics card uses?, if yes, how?

If it is not possible to what can do to increase my FPS on the game?, because I can't change a dedicated GPU because it's a laptop.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According to the specifications of your computer, to graph total 4195 MB memory is the maximum that can be used. Regardless of the amount of dedicated, is all that can be used as memory dedicated. As a general rule, Windows controls the amount of memory used by the video card. This means that you will not be able to change the settings in the BIOS that will change this option. This isn't a computer class in the game and you expect too much of him.

Sorry think it was the wrong number, I gave the full name is HP pavilion dv7-6b05ea if all goes well which is a bit more useful, also came its a site saying I can switch to 16 GB and wanted to make sure that its correct before buying a link for the site here

This is correct information and Crucial is a great brand of memory. Crucial memory is guaranteed compatible memory when you use their memory finder. Take advantage of the 16 GB.

  • have windows 8, need printer driver for Canon mp 160

I have windows 8 (64), I need printer driver for Canon pixma mp160 printer. Unable to find one, any suggestions?

    I can't find a specific driver for 64-bit Windows 8. There is a 64-bit Vista/Windows 7 driver. Try this.

    http://www.USA.Canon.com/Cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp160#DriversAndSoftware

Install according to the instructions. Do not connect the printer to the computer until you are instructed to do so.

  • I have a MacBook Pro, beginning 2011, just upgraded to 8 Ram and have the storage capacity of 500 GB.  I need more storage for photos.  How much more can my grip of Mac, and it makes sense to add a computer that old?

I'm trying to decided if I should try to add more storage to my lap top existing, or buy a new one with more memory.  I am a Photogaphy and need a lot of storage.  I have a MacBook Pro, in early 2011, just upgraded to 8 GB of Ram so I could upgrade to OSX E Capitan and add new software. I have 500 GB storage now and need a lot more. Would love 2 TB or more.

What is the maximum I can add to my laptop? And does make sense to do?

On the largest practical size warehouse readers coming always internally are about 1, 000 GB.

To go more than you would have to decide if the portability was an important issue, because additional disks should probably be external. The Mac can support dozens of external hard drives. If you do not carry them, 'office' readers are faster and can be found in larger sizes. Their PIN 12-volt Motors require a lot more power that can be provided using Bus power, while they use their own power supplies.

  • I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 home authentic. I have a C: drive and two recovery disks. If I want to do two more an for games and other players for other stuff. How can I?

If my windows gets crashed, for example, how do I retrieve that all? Please help me I am new user... I heard that if you other readers, you will be left place with no recovery disk to recover your windows in the back...

If you do a non-destructive partition, it will not affect the recovery Partitions since those who are usually hidden. I suggest you use Easeus Partition Manager to create:

EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition - http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partition-Manager-Home-Edition/3000-2248_4-10863346.html

More information: tools to partition the free Windows disk: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13880_3-20058506-68.html

    ---------------

The amount of space that you allocate will depend on what you plan to do with it, I allocated 35 GBs to mine.

    ---------------

After you have created the partition with Easeus, apply the changes and reboot your system.

EASEUS will create the partition and restart your computer once more.

  • More Ram for this old PC worth?

My workhorse PC is a 7 years Dimension 9100 running XP Pro-life 32 bit currently using 2 GB of RAM DDR from Crucial (4 x 512 MB in the 4 memory locations).

    Memory type: DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 (non - ECC)
    Maximum memory: 4 GB
    Currently installed memory: 2 GB
    Total memory Slots: 4
    Available memory slots: 0

Execution of the Crucial site Analyzer, I see that this system can switch to 4 GB (4 x 1 GB RAM modules), for the relatively small cost of $67,98:

DDR2 upgrade for the Dell Dimension 9100 Desktop/PCMaximum memory: 4 GB
    Module of memory 1 GB DIMM 240-pin, DDR2 PC2-5300
    Part number: CT449322 x 4 = $67,98

    Issues related to the:

    (1) is this update worth it? I understand that XP may not recognize more than 3 GB of RAM, but still an increase of 50% in the RAM seems useful. I'm not a gamer, but appreciate the speed. And apart from a HARD drive failure, this PC has worked perfectly for me for years. But it does not seem to have slowed down a bit in recent years.

    (2) wouldn't be better (or even possible) to install only the 3 GB of RAM from Crucial:
    -2 x I have GB, more 2 x 512 MB

I suspect that many just advise me to buy a new system. I already bought a newer, faster and more powerful Win 7 XPS-8300. But for various reasons, I continue to use the old PC as my workhorse.

    Any advice much appreciated!

    joe53

As you have the 32-bit version of XP, it is better to use 3 GB (2 x 1 GB + 2x512mb) DDR2 RAM.
