  I installed windows 7, 32 Tin bi my new d02 hp2000-2. I couldn't find a driver from hp web site

  for this model. Tried a few drivers for link Ra 3290 802.11bgn, but so far without success.

  Live - wired Internet works well with Realtek PCIe FE family, but I need to install wireless now.

  The driver from the driver etc. finder search was not helpful, and it was like going in circles.

  I don't know that there must be a driver for ralink 3290... Wi fi adapter for windows 7. Pls suggest.

  Go to Device Manager and click on the the problem Ralink wireless card.

  Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

  Select the browse my computer for the software method, navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file above.

  Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp61151.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and I hope the driver will install that way.

  I understand that your CD/DVD drive on your laptop does not work.

  Can you please answer the following questions:

  You have recently installed software or Windows updates?

  When did you start in this topic?

  Have you tried several DVD?

  Make sure you have the latest version of the installed CyberLink PowerDVD software. Without this software, the DVD drive cannot read DVD or Blu - ray discs. You can download this software here: the CyberLink PowerDVD software.

  You can also try to do a restore system before the issue started if it a question recently of news. You can access the restoration through the HP Recovery Manager by tapping the F11 key, while the portable lights.

  I would like to know if it works for you.

  Yes you can downgrade to Windows 8, but you need to install a reticular version of Windows 8 you have to purchase from Microsoft. Before the downgrade to Windows 8 make you you create a set of recovery disk for your system.

  You get this error because XP can not 'see' the hard drive as it doesn't have the ahci sata driver for the storage controller that your laptop is.

  Please read this guide, section of Intel and then read the downloadable document for how to integrate all the sata drivers.

  I have compressed upwards and attached sata drivers you will need to integrate under attachments below.

  Another method if you have a usb floppy drive would be to load the specific sata driver you need when you see this prompt F6 at the beginning of windows XP Setup script.

  The driver that you need to install on this line would be the Intel (r) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller, you highlight and select from the list of drivers showing on your disk, using either the top or arrow down.  You may need to go one way or the other if the driver is not displayed on the screen.

• 2000-2b09WM HP: 10 Windows upgrade/Windows 8 recovery partition questions

  I tried the upgrade of Windows 10 twice with this laptop.
  
  1st attempt:
  
  He tried to upload D:Recovery partition, failed upgrade, fortunately I did a restore of Windows 8 USB, including the entire recovery drive, until I ran the upgrade, after several steps and issues, I restored to 8.

  I am doing this for someone else who is not technically competent, if it was me I would do this differently (that's if I would never actually own this little thing).
  
  My goal here is to get upgrades, then do as close to 100% some I can that they can not only recover but they don't have to worry about keeping track of a recovery DVD or USB media if all else fails and can recover everything keeping the valid product key without them ever having to buy , find, use or type a product key.

  I delete the recovery partition and try the upgrade. On the issue of work after the removal of the partition which may depend on what type of USB recovery that you created. There's no Windows 8 version - which I've never used and do not know if it works without the partition. There are > HP recovery media- who works with / with out even on a new hard drive and the partition.

  Windows 10 also has an option to create a recovery usb disk but I don't think that it will transfer to a recovery partition - at least not a bootable. Windows 10 has the ability to reset this PC that uses files stored on the hard drive.

  You must also consider if the hard drive has failed it would take the recovery/reset partition with it until you have an installer of stand-alone-usb or dvd is always a good choice to install on a replacement hard drive.

  Of course, many use use imagery to take a complete snapshot of the Windows installation to easily restore either original or new hard drive. The imagery is also covered by the link above.

  Many products are on the label as well as the serial number.

  I zipped and tied the smbus controller driver you need below.

  You must manually install this driver as follows...

  Download and uncompress the file that I attached to his record.

  Do nothing with the files in the folder.

  Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus who need the pilot.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  You can install W7 on this laptop and if there are programs that you need which can only run in XP, then install W7 pro and use XP mode in virtual PC, if you can enable virtualization in the BIOS of your PC.

  Help!  I have 2 laptops I want to reformat and reinstall Win 7 (64 bit). I have a copy of Windows 7 on both, but in my last shot of some books of office and folders disappeared, and Yes, my folders with installation for most of my software discs are not found.

  I have the product key Win for both, I wonder if I can order real HP install disks to reinstall the drivers specific to each laptop and the O.S.?  Is it too late to get always the disks for Win 7 now that Win 10 is fashionable?  I really like the stability that I receive in Win 7...   You can try to run the system recovery method in the Recovery Manager program, or F11 invites.

  It shouldn't work in other than to use the recovery discs.

  In case you still want the disks, you can order them from this provider no HP as well.

  The cost should not be a lot more than if you order at HP (which seems to be problematic).
